I was recommended to come here, I didn't have an appointment so I had no problem waiting, I was waiting for 20 mins already and I told the tech I needed run out to my car and she asked if I just wanted to come later and I said no I already have plans later and I've been waiting for 20 mins, and then she proceeded to tell me, well I don't have anyone to do you're pedicure. This is so unprofessional and rude to have someone who has already been waiting and they told you the service they want and then for you to say you don't have time for me after the fact. I tried this place for the first time today. Its small, there are only 3 pedi stations, and 4 mani stations. It's quiet and relaxing. It's right downtown so super convenient as well. Even though it's small, I had an amazing time. I got a mani, pedi, and my eyebrows waxed for $32 plus tip and in 1.5 hours. Kim really took her time to make sure I was taken care of. I only did eyebrows here but I was very happy with the results. I told the lady that I wanted to leave some room for my brows to grow in thicker. She was very attentive and listened well, taking her time to shape my eyebrows. I also liked how she took her time to pluck and trim my brows after waxing. Brows were $8. I first came here years ago, drifted around to every place in town, but I'm back for good. Nice ladies, they all speak English, will chit chat with you which is refreshing. Most places in town they act like you really don't exist except for your fingers and toes. Can't beat the price for a fill, I go back in between for a polish change to keep it fresh. My tech, Vivian, was friendly, but I wasn't happy with the result. My gel polish started peeling up around the edges a week after I got them done. I've gotten gel manicures many times before and even after 2-3 weeks have only had to get them redone bc they grew out. Not sure if it was the quality of the polish or the technique, but either way, not good. Spend a few more dollars for better quality! read more

I do not recommend Vivian. She may do excellent work at first but once you are a regular she is rude, and will rush through your appointment so the next client can be seen. This place is located right next to my job which makes it very convenient for me to walk right over and get my gel. First time was a good experience, the son of the owner did my nails and I was very pleased. Second time I went and the owner did my nails, I had to go back in because they were way too thin and the gel was already chipping,which is weird because gel shouldn't chip after a day! Well they fixed it with no problem. I decided to try again the other day, total fail! The color is beautiful however my gel was already chipping and peeling/lifting two days post service. I'm so upset I spent money and time on my manicure and it didn't even last a full two weeks before looking horrible. Here it is a week later and they look a month old. At this point I will not be back ever. I'm so disappointed, no point in even getting them redone, not even worth the money or time. read more

Josephine Nails is by far my favorite place to go to! The location for one is perfect, and their pricing is so good. They do an AMAZING job for such a good price. They're always very nice, I went in yesterday at 4:30 and needed to be out by 5:30 and they made it happen even when I got a full acrylic set and pedicure. They worked fast, but still paid attention to detail to make sure my nails still looked great. I appreciated that so much because they didn't seem frustrated or upset at all. I told the woman doing my pedicure to target dry skin near the cuticle area and she heavy handedly went in with the pumice stone and a NAIL FILE...yikes. This was the second time I went to them for a gel polish. Not only is it reasonably priced ($12 for the color, $16 if they have to take off old polish) but they are very nice and engaging in conversation with you. It's nothing fancy, but it is clean and functional. I also had this dry cough that was heavily triggered from the acetone when they were soaking my nails. I was so embarrassed because I couldn't stop coughing, to the point I had to step out. They reassured me that I was fine, offered me cough drops, water and even a product suggestion that worked like a charm when I purchased it after my appt. I was okay with them hurrying up my visit because I couldn't stop coughing and the result of their work was still very good. I saw Vivian today and she gave me a fantastic gel manicure. I was very impressed with the care that she took in shaping and prepping my nails for the gel polishes. I will definitely be back and am very happy to have found such a great manicurist! Additionally, Vivian and another manicurist, whose name I didn't get, were very accommodating and friendly. Huge mistake coming here instead of my usual shop. I came on a whim because of hearing about their cheap prices, and you definitely get what u pay for! I got a fill on a Friday and already had three nails lift and completely come off by Monday. I got them done for a vacation so when I was back in town on Tuesday, I called and asked about having them fixed and the owner told me I would have to pay because they cannot guarantee they will last. read more

All I can say is ... WOW! I went to Josephine Nails because I was truly desperate to find a new nail salon (my former manicurist moved out of state a couple of months ago). The first salon I tried was absolutely not to my liking. Tiffany listened to what I asked for, and made suggestions that were actually LESS expensive than what I (thought) I originally wanted. The new set is incredibly thin and shaped perfectly (a thin layer of acrylic covered with gel polish). The gel pedicure, similarly, is absolutely lovely - I am so grateful to Suki for correcting an incredibly painful ingrown toenail. The salon may not look super fancy, but who cares? They do beautiful work and actually listen to what you want. A caveat - apparently it gets really busy. While I was there they had to turn away three walk-ins (even though they were able to take a few while I was getting my nails fixed). Make an appointment first! read more

Infection!!! Do not go here. I had a spa pedicure a week ago. My big toe started to turn red and was throbbing in pain. I went to the doctors and found out it was an infection. There were nice but obviously they are not clean. I will be reporting them. Be careful if get a spa pedicure. read more
