Most passive aggressive manicure ever. I called this place around 4:40, knowing they closed at 5:30 to ASK if they would have time for a gel pedicure and a full Gel-X set. I would've completely understood if they said no, but the guy told me yes. Great! I arrived literally a couple minutes later, and a really sweet lady started on my pedicure which was great, and she's the only reason I gave the place 2 stars instead of 1. Then another nice lady started removing my old Gel-X. I asked the two ladies again if they were sure they had time for the full Gel-X set, because part of me was considering just doing a basic gel manicure after getting my old Gel-X removed, just to be out of there quicker. They both assured me that YES, they had time for the full set. I thought, that's really nice of them--I'll tip well. Well apparently a third nail tech, who was working on someone else's manicure, would be the one to do my Gel-X set, but needed to finish up with her current client. Once she did, she came over, visibly frustrated that she had to do another service. I understood she was probably tired, so I gave her the benefit of the doubt and showed her nothing but politeness the entire time. What was not okay was her overall demeanor and how poor of a manicure she gave me--I'm still a paying customer and I would've tipped her extra had she provided better quality service. First off, she had no patience for my Erb's Palsy in my right arm that has very little range of motion (i.e. can't turn my hand over on its own without using my other hand to force it, and can't bend my arm back far at all without my elbow sticking out in a weird way) because it made it difficult to hold my finger directly under the little overhead UV lamp she set up. Pretty much every manicurist I've ever had has not had a problem with my condition and it has not slowed down their speed of service in any way. It just caused a minor inconvenience for her because she couldn't force my hand to be at the perfect angle, which only added to her frustration. Aside from that, she filed my nails so quickly and carelessly after she got the Gel-X on. I had to ask her to soften the corners of the nails (square shape) so they weren't so sharp, because obviously she had no intention of doing that, and she sort of quickly filed the corners for a couple seconds each, still leaving them sharp and shaped almost like those ugly duck nails from 2010. Then I had to ask her to please cut away some of the dead skin on my cuticles because she had no intention of cleaning them up at all either. She didn't say yes or no, just stayed silent and pissed off and cut away at like 4 of my dead cuticles, and they still looked like shit. She didn't bother putting a base coat under the color gel polish, and I have little bubbles on one of the nails where the powder debris from her drilling the Gel-X nails got trapped under the polish. Not even some lotion on my hands after they sat in freakin acetone for like 15 minutes earlier during the Gel-X removal, and never asked me to wash my hands. Just wanted me the f out of there. The way I can describe her overall energy was like you could practically hear her cussing me out in her head. Here's the thing--next time you're going to be pissed off about a client being in the salon past closing time, simply say that you don't have time. Don't say yes--not once, but twice--and then punish the client with poor service and a bad attitude. It's not my fault the owner agreed take me in, nor was it in my control that the nail tech had to finish up with her client before getting started on my manicure. I could've just gone somewhere else nearby that closed later but had lower Yelp ratings and gotten the same quality of manicure but at least with better customer service. read more

Went in today and wanted a full set; left with two nails all the way fucked up lmao Tracy had been removing the set I had on, midway I had said nevermind to the set. These ladies were amazing!! I came in with my four month old daughter. The nail tech was sooo gracious and did my nails one hand at a time to let me have my other hand free to tend to baby as needed. She suggested I do gel nails and she was completely right since regular polish would not have dried quickly enough! When my baby was fussing she even allowed me to breastfeed her right there without feeling embarrassed. When little girl was tired of sitting and had enough another nail tech offered to hold her while we finished. My baby was smiling and cooing at everyone as she was walked around the nail salon. Everyone had a smile and didn't make me feel unwelcome because my baby started to cry. They all tried to comfort her and she left smiling and happy and so did I! I about walked away my last visit. I had come in for a fill and showed the man at the front desk the nail color on my hand to which he asked me what the name of the color was. I told him I wasn't sure because the lady from the front picked it out (after the one I initially picked that day was out). He then handed me the unorganized bin of colors to try to find the color and told me that my dip could not be filled and I would need a brand new set ($60). A kinder explanation would have been appreciated. I'm no expert to know that dip couldn't be filled. Never going back after such treatment. It's really a hit or miss with this place.. Nancy & Kathy do really good nails. But I came In Friday evening (10/11/19) for a gel pedicure ($45) and a full set acrylics gel ($55). I left with thick , uneven nails that looked like I already needed a fill. I feel like the girl who did my full set rushed to get them done. The pedicure started before & ended after she was done with my nails. Throughout the days I've taken pictures of how my nails kept getting weird day by day. After being a loyal customer since day one, I have now had a very negative customer service experience. My mother (also a loyal customer since this spot opened) bought me a gift certificate for Christmas. I've been saving it so i could get my nails done before I moved. I brought it in today and apparently the gift certificate (which should be equal to cash) expires after six months, and it has now been a little less than seven months. They said "too bad" and charged full price. They didn't even offer me a discount. After coming here for years, and spending a lot of money, uploading pictures of my nails to yelp when they asked, they weren't even bothered to offer a discount because the gift certificate expired. I still like the various nail technicians there, but I guess it's just as well I'm moving if this is how they treat their oldest customers. It is also actually against federal and state law to put an expiration date on a gift certificate. I mentioned this to the man I have seen FOR YEARS and he refused to acknowledge it because he said the expiration was on the gift certificate. So whatever you do, do not buy a gift certificate here. They will go against the law just so they don't have to give you $30 credit. read more

Two of my granddaughters visited yesterday 2/20/19 for pedicures. This is the result of an irresponsible technician... not sure how she cut the toe.. not a cuticle not the nail.. the toe.. tried to stop bleeding.. then SUPER GLUED the wound before disinfecting. Really enjoying my nails! First off, two of us came in on a Saturday afternoon and they were busy but there was no waiting for pedicures. Their foot spas were clean and well maintained and they had plenty of staff helping out so it was super easy to get service. Got their highest level spa pedicure and it was a really great price. Decided at the end to get acrylics on my fingers with a design that required more than just swishes or flowers and they easily accommodated me. Again, nice price on quality work. Worst experience ever! They had water puddles leaking from the ceiling .First and last time I go in, I went in for a walk in for three people and for some reason they gave up one of our seats for someone else. When getting my nails done the lady cut my toe with a nail file , not even a TOOL, and after telling her that it hurt she still continued to file my toenail cutting it even more. I waited a long while before I posted this review. I use to be a HUGE fan of this place. I've been coming here for the last 5 years or so (I've even recommended to multiple friends & family) but as time has passed, the customer service was truly DECLINED. From the front desk to the nail technicians, the pushiness to get a different service from the one that I requested, to getting a different color from the one that I asked for has been insane. I loved coming here but after the service that I encountered today, I realized that I no longer could continue to support a business who has little disregard for their customers especially if that person is my mom. I brought her in to get a manicure/pedicure. When the nail technician realized my mom didn't speak fluent English, she requested me to translate services-- this is no big deal, we are very use to it. As I was getting my service, my mom tells me that the color that she got did not look like the color in the book. I politely told the nail tech is she could do another coat as the color looked like it needed one more to match. She told me that she has asked my mom if the color was fine & my mom said yes. That is not what happened, she told my mom "color bonito" which my mom answered "yes", the color was beautiful. If for the entirety of the appointment, you have been asking me to ask her what she wanted to get done, why would you not ask that question to confirm at the end? She then walked away to sit down & get her nails done by another technician. I then asked if my mom could get a different color for her toes as she was disappointed with the other color, the woman doing her toes then made a snide remark "okay, she can't change it again". At that point, I was more stern & replied that we were sure of the second color. The attitude from both technicians was completely unprofessional. There was no suggestions as to how things could get fixed, just a "it is what it is" attitude. Had this been the first time that I've experienced an attitude like this, I would have given it another try but at this point, I no longer feel comfortable coming into a place like this. I have come in & gave gotten my nails filed down way too harshly, been cut with the cuticle scissors, & etc. All things that I could have overlooked as someone having an off day but when you voice a concern & it is met with a careless attitude & rudeness on multiple occasions, that is where you lose me & my family as customers. I had an appointment at 530p for manicure and pedicure. After 45min both services were done and I was satisfied. However, ones I got home I started to notice the pink chrome was missing at the tips of my nails. Obviously, it wasn't super noticeable unless you were really close but by the 4th day my thumb and middle finger started to chip and fade. It's been a week and I'm gonna have to paint over them.
