We came to Joseph's for our Valentine lunch and were beyond happy. From the entrance we were treated so warmly and quickly. We got very lucky and beat the rush. Just a soothing place on the inside. Not stuck up or stuffy. Now for the food, it's been a long time since we'd been so didn't have much of a benchmark.....but now we do! Every course from salad to tabouli, hummus, cabbage rolls, ribs & bologna was so very good. Best tabouli and hummus we've ever eaten. There was enough that we packed 1/2 of everything to take home. My filet was cooked to perfection and my husband loved his chopped sirloin. Our server was very attentive but not overly so. Highly recommend for a great meal. read more

This is very popular place with lots of customers. We found the steaks to be marginal. A bit tough and not very flavorful which was covered up with a lot of gravy. We love Jospeh's, we eat here usually once a week. I love the blackjack sauce, always ask for extra! My only complaint is pretty regularly a good 3-4 bites of the ribeye is inedible gristle and fat. The non steak items we've had off the menu aren't really much to write home about, chicken strips, etc. However like I said we eat here about once a week, so we've learned to live with that. read more

The inside of the restaurant and the menu is still pretty close to how they were back then. They have always been known for their steaks, smoked meats and Lebanese style sides and appetizers. I will be back to try the steaks, but for this visit I wanted the cabbage rolls and the tabouly (tabbouleh). The cabbage roll special comes with two cabbage rolls, a choice of salad (slaw or tabouly), a choice of potatoes and a dinner roll. The cabbage rolls were filled with pleasantly seasoned lean ground beef and rice. The tabouly was made from Joseph's original recipe. It was a tasty combination of bulgur wheat, parsley, tomatoes with oil and lemon. Very good! Most folks having lunch there were having one of the steaks, so they are still a big draw. Growing up right down the road from Joseph's and playing football almost in Freddie's back yard. Freddie would come to the back door and yell out u boys come here and would give us bbq bubble gum or a juicy rib yum yum. U can't go wrong with a bbq sandwich or a rib. On my first trip to Drumright, I ended up coming here with a group of friends. We had quite a large group and as expected had to wait to be seated. Given the size of our group, I felt that we were seated in an adequate amount of time. The lights on the inside were dimmed to help set the ambience. All of the food was really good. There was something there called tabouly, which I had never heard of, but it was a hit with everyone in the group who ordered it. Also, The Bigfoot is appropriately named as it is a really good sized burger. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered and left feeling pretty full on the trip back. Years ago when my father was so live I would drive from Oklahoma City to Chandler Oklahoma just for us to try to drum right to go eat at Joseph's and since the drive was pretty far from OKC always ordered a pint of it's a bully and a pint of hummus to go so I could freeze it and continue to enjoy it at a later date until I could make the drive back out there. My wife and I travelled from our home to Drumright to sample a steak at Joseph's. We arrives around 4pm because we heard there is a big waiting line in the evening. There were folks eating but the place was not full yet. I ordered the Rib Eye Special. The steak was not a disappointment. I ordered tabouli rather than a salad as a side and ordered a loaded baked potato for my meal. The steak was very tender and the brown au jus sauce set it off. The tabouli was really good and I could have easily made a meal of that. Now the bad part. The loaded baked potato looked good but I quickly found it was cold and not completely done in the middle so it sat uneaten. My wife ordered the hors d'oeuvre plate. The tabouli was really good and hummus was top notch. Her baked potato also was cold and not done. The BBQ sauce they use on the ribs and bologna did not taste good to her so she had to scrape it off to eat the meat. The salad did not look good but the house made ranch dressing was great. The cabbage roll was average at best. The service was fantastic and overall it was a pleasant experience but probably not one we will make a drive to repeat. I am giving it 5 stars just because my steak and tabouli we're so good and service was excellent. Take away those items and it is about a 2 star restaurant. read more

I've wanted to visit ever since a friend recommended the Tabouli and steak. My visit on Tuesday did not disappoint. My filet was cooked as ordered. They apply a "Smoke Sauce" to all steaks before serving. I only add salt to my steak, so I was unhappy to see the sauce on my steak. It was good, but next time I'll order the Smoke Sauce as a side. Oh my goodness, what can I say about this place?! Go there! My coworker and I stopped in for an extremely late lunch early dinner. The restaurant was completely empty at the time we arrived, which I hear is not usual. As we sat there for awhile, the crowd started rolling in. I had the chicken and my coworker had steak. Have been going to Joseph's frequently for 30 years! It's our favorite place, about 30 minutes from home, and has NEVER disappointed us with les than attentive service or less than perfect food. The tabouli, humus, cabbage roll and steaks are the best. The barbecue is more tangy than sweet and the ribs, brisket and baloney are all wonderful. The service is great, a team effort to keep glasses full, empty plates removed, or bring anything you need. Family dining at its best. Catering is excellent also.
