I do not recommend this place. Although the prices are competitive, the manicurist did not do a good job. She hardly clipped the cuticles even though I asked her to take them off. After repeated requests, she just shrugged off and did not listen to me. Although she wanted to do was cut the nails, buff it a little bit and put nail polish. For me, clipping the cuticles is what makes a good manicure. Unhappy customer!!! read more

I have been going here for 3 years, and one of the primary reasons is the products used for my pedicure do not cause my nails to chip and crack. After reading all the positive reviews for this salon, I decided to give them a try. Not going back ever. I asked the nail technician three times to cut my nails shorter and to buff them. None of that happened. Once I get home, I'll have to correct the nail trim that I paid for. Something else I noticed is how they don't sterilize their tools. They're supposed to use ultraviolet light and this place does not. read more

Loved loved loved this place! It is by far the cleanest dust free nail salon I have ever seen, and that says a lot! Betty is an excellent tech, very gentle paid attention to detail... full set of acrylic nails so very affordable that I was actually allowed to give her a large tip!! I stopped by to get my nails done at this place and I couldn't recommend this place to anyone due to the cleanliness issues. I stopped by to get my gel nail polish removed then get a regular manicure. This place has strong fumes since there is no ventilation so when you walk in you are hit with a very strong acetone odor. First off the lady who was about to do my mani, put on the same dirty glove that she used on the previous client and prepared to do my nails. The disposable love was blue but stained yellow and it had nail polish all over it. She was about to touch my hands and I explained to her that she needs to use a fresh pair of gloves not reuse disposable gloves. She then changed it and got a fresh one. The table to do the manicures was stained with dirt, the brushes were visibly dirty as well. The cushion were you rest your hands for a mani was lined with black dirt and was ripped. After I got my manicure the nail polish took 3 hours; yes you heard that right. 3 hours to dry! I was told it was dry 5 minutes after sitting under the drier but that wasn't true. Needless to say they were chipped and messed up within that span of time. The only great thing about this nail shop is that everyone was extremely nice. Customer service was great but for a nail salon they really really need to deep clean the place. I ran out of there as soon as I could. I am tempted to file a complaint with TX licensing for cleanliness because many of the areas in the shop were caked with dirt and I would not want anyone and their kids to get infections. read more

The woman who did my nails was really nice, and took my direction really well to give me just what I wanted - very short acrylics that are relatively natural looking. I'll definitely be coming back here to get them filled in a couple weeks. read more

I gave this place a shot, but the other one star review is unfortunately correct. The lady working on my toes was pulling her tools from a plastic spacemaker. Another lady came in to get her toes done, and before finishing my feet the lady jumped to the new client without a word. As she began working on the new client, she used the SAME TOOLS she had been using on me to start this new girl. This happened with my manicure as well, wiped off tools and put them back in the same container. As my nails were drying I saw the worker 'clean' a pedicure station by rinsing off tools in the foot sink and putting everything up as is. The towels that were used were shaken off and put back to reuse. The entire place needs cleaning, it's so grimy, dusty, and just disgusting. I messed up drying my nails getting up to pay, I wanted to leave so badly. Upon paying I asked the girl helping me of when they clean their tools and another woman answered for her saying they clean them in the restroom after each use. I told her I had not seen that AT ALL during the time I was there and she repeated the same. There were other clients there that seemed like regulars, but I'm assuming they either didn't know any better or could overlook the grime with the cheap prices. There are so many other places to go to, please take care of yourself by going somewhere that actually sanitizes and avoid the possibility of getting some kind of infection! read more

For a nail place to be open for 8 years is quite an accomplishment for the Dallas area. The staff is friendly and does a great job everytime. I have been going there for six months. i got fungus on both my feet and hands from nd nails at carrollton but when i went here to get a pedi and mani i notice this josey nail salon uses the same tools they used on me and another client i met there with fungus on everyone. they didn't even disinfect nor i see any other effort to clean the pedi tub they used on me they just drained the water this is disgusting!!!!! never going back to any nail salon i am so sad and mad!!!! read more

Not at all sanitary. Use the same utensils from one client to another without sanitizing or getting a new set. Disgusting for a nail salon to be operating with such practices in 2015. Even better three of my nails have cracks in them within an hour. I have never had that experience with the gel manicure which I routinely get it.I will NOT be coming back. Needed a quick mani/pedi for the holidays, so I gave this place a call for a lunch time appointment. They were able to get me in no problem. The place is super convenient to my office, so I was hoping I'd found a new spot to get my nails done and I think I have. Its a no frills nail salon, but the technicians are polite and its well worth the money. $30 for a mani/pedi that included paraffin treatment for the feet is a steal!! They were a little slower than I expected for a lunch time appointment, but my nails turned out great (the rest of the people in there were chatting about the local senior center, so I think I get why they aren't in a rush). I went to Josey nails for the first time today and they were wonderful! The ladies were so nice and they took their time to make sure not to hurt me. They did a beautiful job and were a much more reasonable price than where I had been going. $35 for a French manicure and regular pedicure! I will most definitely go back.
