On 12/31 went for a Pedi, and 2 hours and 3 re-polishing later I was walking out the door. My tech left me to dry on my own, and never checked back with me. So I give them an F for customer service, and a D for skill because she couldn't even match a photo of what I wanted and tried to convince me that what she did was better than what I wanted. Probably the worst part was that when she repolished the 3rd time (after trying to put my sandal on my foot and the polish wasn't dry), she wipes the waste acetone from her brush on my sandal. (The towel was missing b/c in an effort to clean up, she removed the towel too quickly, which damaged the polish, a she didn't bother to get another towel.) Exited with polish still on the top of my foot, and unhappy the the results. Please, don't waste your time or money here. read more

Was told I would pay $40 for dip nails and was charged $45. Literally the worst nails I've ever gotten. The guy who did my nails didn't cut my cuticles until AFTER he already put acrylic on my nails, making them look like they've been grown out already. A day later the nails were lifting. Not to mention the man who did my nails seemed kinda rude. The ONLY thing he said to me was "do you like them?" when i was done. For $30 it would be nice to have my gel manicure last for 5 days at least. They most definitely use cheap products they started peeling after a day. This pic is 5 days in. I am shocked by all the good reviews on this place. I am not sure how. I went yesterday for a manicure and a pedicure. The place was dirty, not just busy dirty, but filthy. I don't tend to leave reviews but I had such a bad experience here that I wanted to go ahead and make sure information was available for those that might consider getting nexgen nails done here. I'd like to start by saying that the pedicure I got here was excellent. I had a great experience with that. Everyone was also very nice and polite in the salon which was clean and well kept. I had issues once we did the nexgen nails manicure. First, the nail technician ground too deep into my real nails before applying the powder. To compound that, once the powders were all applied the tools came back out to neaten them up and thin them out. It was at this point that the technician caused my cuticles to bleed in three different places. She also caused red crescents to appear on my nails as she shaped around the back of the nail. The tool ground deep enough to bruise my nail beds. The manicure held up well for the two weeks it was on my nails and they looked great but then I had to get them removed. I thought about going somewhere else and I should have but it's right around the corner and how bad can the removal be? Bad. It took an hour and a half start to finish for them to remove the nexgen nails and do a regular solid color manicure on top. The acetone pads were removed way too soon since the nail tech (different person this time) was in a hurry, leading to more grinding and filing down of my already thinned nails instead of waiting for the acetone and foil to do the job properly. She then left my nails incredibly rough, painted over it and called it a day. At the very least she only caused my cuticles to bleed in one place. In the span of a couple of days, three of my nails broke (uncommon, I have kept naturally long nails my whole life) and I had to remove the polish and cut my nails down as short as I could. My nails are scored and super damaged, I will have to grow out an entirely new set of nails. I was happy with the atmosphere and the other services I received but this level of damage is not the norm for nexgen nails and neither is the amount of cuticle bleeding that occurred for any nail service. I used to come to this salon about 2 yrs ago and would recommend it to many of my friends but unfortunately after today's visit I don't think I'll ever be back. Out of all the times I've ever gotten my nails done, this was the most painful experience and having to treat my cuts makes me want to scream. I had asked for the coffin shape and as it was getting done the nail file was being dug into my skin and causing mild bleeding. Also, while drilling the nail down, the side of my nail was scraped as well. I don't know if the nail tech that serviced me was new or not but that was and continues to be extremely painful. I recently moved to the Carrollton area and have been doing a trial and error with nail salons around here. This place isn't the cleanest or fanciest by far but I feel like they did a really nice job on my nails. Specifically with my dip nails. I didn't have to give much direction or correct her as I'm fairly picky with shape & nail length. For both basic pedicure and dip manicure it cost me $50 then I added tip. So far it's the best service out of a few others I've tried here so I'll probably be back. read more

I got my nails done on the 27th of April and , they did an amazing job for the price ! I used to go here when they were right by party city and went back for my prom set at their new location . All in all , this place is super friendly and affordable. It's clean and very comfortable , the customers and staff enjoy talking and all getting to know each other ! Making a good environment. They made sure the outcome was something I was good with and encouraged me through out the process . Great staff and location , and the price is great! I also got my toes done and I'm a swim instructor , so a few days in the water made my toe nails chip . Which , is not an issue ( just re-painted them) just a heads up Incase anyone else works in the water . I'm also a clumsy person so it is no surprise to me that I chipped one the same night , I got it stuck on a door . I kept them on for a week only to have another break while I was bowling , so I ended up just removing them all together by soaking and had no issues during the at home removal process. Saw that a new nail salon opened less than a mile from me and decided to try it. I just recently had the Ombre nails done and LOVED them. I couldn't wait to get my second set done! I asked if they knew how to do Ombre, some salons aren't doing them yet, and they said yes. Well, after two nails it was clear that she had her own way of doing them. Only painted the white on half of my nail and then started to blend the pink in with it. Ended up looking blotchy and did not have the Gradient affect that the Ombre nails are suppose to have. I had her remove what she had done and ended up with the same pink and white Ive gotten in the past. She was very nice as was the rest of the girls there, but I was very disappointed after being so in love with the Ombre. When I was leaving I said if y'all learn better how to do them I would love to come back and was told "we have our own way of doing them". Well, clearly that isn't working, if its Ombre you want! Also, as Im reading these reviews, it was stated someone got pedicure and dip nails done for 50. I was quoted 22 and 40 for my pedicure and nails, with 10% off. Thats still more than the 50 and I didn't get the nails I wanted. Lastly, now that Im home, Ive notice the edge on one of my nails dips in and not shaped well at all and another has a ridge where the powder didn't get nearly close enough to the edge of my nail bed. I could go back and have them redo it, but won't waste my time. I will be getting the Ombre done in a few days anyways! I do hope they do well and maybe this review will push them in that direction. By no means did I write this hoping they wouldn't get business, I wrote it because when people are paying for a service, they should be able to trust that the person they are seeing can do they job that was asked of them. It's five star quality for me when Jenny does my acrylic tips. They don't charge extra for longer nails (thank God). And here, I pay about $55 with tip for a full set acrylic AND regular pedicure, opposed to other locations that has charged that price for what I get. I have tried this place 3x because it's close. I will not try again. horrible experience. Their phone is always off hook so you can't make appointment. They never have enough staff but say they have availability and place you in chair where you wait for 15-20 min for someone available. Jenny is the queen of eyebrows. She's been doing my eyebrows since forever, and I followed her from Josey Nails to here when she opened her new spot. Tranh is my go to nail lady, and everyone here is so nice. Great prices, friendly staff. It may take a little longer than other places, but it is worth it for the high quality nails you get. Jenny's dad works the register, and he made me Vietnamese coffee once! Sodas and water are provided, they have TCA to watch while you get your nails done. When I went me and my sister called ahead but we had to wait so long that my sister almost fell asleep. I chose the acrylic nail design that I wanted and went to the lady and she started glueing the design on without trimming my nails. After she gets my pinky nail on she goes on to my ring finger starts to look and then moves on to glueing one on my middle finger. A little later she says you can't do this design there isn't one for the ring finger or pointer finger and just stares at us blankly like we're supposed to tell her how to do her job. I just said that I could do the white tips and I figured that she would get the 2 nails she glued on off with some solution. Nope, she ripped off both but the one on my pinky she took off and some of my actual nail. The lady kept giving excuses that I was the one messing her up, and my sister can agree I was not moving. My sister gets mad and starts pointing out that my nail is still showing with the acrylic and the lady started to give my sister more attitude. Awful service except the very nice man up front everyone else had horrible service and I don't even like my nails, the tips of my actual nail is showing. They are the white tips.
