My wife found Josh and Sons through a Groupon for a $91 power wash, a price cheaper than the powerwash quotes that I had received. I was a bit skeptical initially because Groupon is not always selective with their merchants. However I perused the reviews here on Yelp and decided to give them a chance. I am glad that I did. We got our desk power washed for a great price. They were prompt and professional in returning our calls and keeping us appraised of their status. Our deck looks great. They never showed up! Worst, they didn't bother to extend professional courtesy by placing a simple phone call. They have HORRIBLE customer service. We had an appointment scheduled for Sat 11/02 at 9 a.m. We called them at 9:18 to get a status. They called back after 10. They lied and stated the appointment was between 10-12. Knowing this was a lie, we agreed anyway (since we stayed home from work to accommodate the appointment). At 2:25 p.m. they TEXTED us claiming they had a problem with their van. The time to notify their customers is in advance of the appointed time, NOT over two hours later! My time is valuable and I don't have time to waste on these clowns. I had an appointment with Josh and Sons for power washing my deck and they did not show up. I called when they were about 45 minutes late and left a message asking if they were going to show up or not. I received a text about 9 pm telling me that the reason they stood me up was because of a "family inconvenience" and offering to to the work the next morning. Some of us have busy lives and schedule work on our rare days off-we don't sit around waiting to be stood up. If they are going to operate a business in 2019 they should bother to have somebody make a courtesy call to cancel or reschedule, or carry an appointment scheduling tool or calendar so they can send a quick text if an emergency really happened. I bought a Groupon and fully expected to pay more out of pocket. They showed up right on time and from start to finish were very friendly, courteous and professional. We discussed the prices and I was happy. I had gotten quotes from other companies previously and this still ended up being $150 less. I'm very happy with the results of two visits from Jose at Josh and Sons. For the first, I used a Groupon, which covered the first 250 square feet of my deck area. Immediately, Jose told me that my area was larger and gave me a fair price for getting the deck with built in seats, picnic table and two extra bench seats cleaned. He and one other man arrived within the two hour window. I was so pleased with the results, I asked him if his company did anything else. He gave me a fair price for cleaning my 30-year old pebble concrete walk as well as all the flagstone around my house. I did reach the younger man about 6 weeks ago and he said he would come that Saturday, and while I waited for him, he never showed up. I am about to lose my Groupon and meanwhile, Josh and Sons have my $91.00 and I have NO SERVICES or even an explanatory call. This is false advertising and no way to run a business. Found a groupon for their service - called and spoke to a lady which she told me don't buy the groupon and just pay the techs when they do the job that price. Scheduled an appointment and just 1 hour before my appointment got a text saying they had to cancel due to weather. The forecast was 70°-80° with 0% chance of rain. Called and called until I got an answer- caught them in a lie and then finally got the truth, Josh just wasn't around. So, rededuled for another day, same time and of course no one shows or calls! Just received the power washing service today. They arrived on time, explained the details of the service. There was a little snafu connecting the hose to the water line (not the company's fault). I used a Groupon for Josh and Sons and was told on the phone that my two story house with one brick side would most likely be covered by the 1000 sq ft limit. Immediately on arrival, however, I was told the full house would actually cost an additional $150 beyond the Groupon.
