This is one of my favorite Sunday afternoon restaurants after church. They also have a new dine-in option (pictured) that is more than enough food for $15. Love it! We have a good relationship with the manager; he is very kind and helpful. Their lunch menu is where it's at - great value for the prices! Check their hours - they close between lunch and dinner, so if you're getting out of church late, make sure you have enough time to enjoy your meal there before they close! read more

I ordered the lamb curry. It was very delicious. They have six levels of spiciness, and they are very skilled at delivering what you would want. We also ordered chicken curry and Samosa Chat for the appetizer. Food was hot when brought out and tasted delicious! Highly recommend this location and restaurant! We will be returning when back in the area. If you never ate Indian food in your life, don't be intimidated by all the mysterious stuff on menu, and just get lamb curry, however spicy you want. I would recommend a little dimmer overhead lighting, I like seeing what I'm eating but the light was like being in an office. We took my daughter and her husband for dinner for her birthday. Oh my goodness it was amazing! The food was so good! Chicken Tikki Masala , shrimp Masala and tandoori chicken. We ordered an appetizer but it was overlooked. We had mentioned that we no longer wanted it when our meals came, no biggie. They made it to go for no charge. That was very kind of them. This was an okay place for Indian food, but not our favorite local Indian restaurant, by far. Hubby loved his Chicken Tikka Masala but it was also not his favorite compared to other Indian restaurants. Rice was good but again, nothing "stand out" about it. Service was good but not as attentive as I thought it could be considering we were almost the only ones in the restaurant. We've been here more than once and the spice levels seem to be a little inconsistent. The prices seem high for lunch and they don't seem to have lunch specials, which we would have liked to take advantage of. It was very clean and spacious with nice table settings. We'll be back here, not because of the food but because it is the closest Indian place to us. read more

I travel the world as a flight crew member (including India). I was staying at a nearby hotel and walked over to Jot's for lunch. It was hand's down the best Indian food I've ever had! I ordered the Chicken Tikka Palak (medium) and the garlic naan. The flavor was magnificent! Perfectly spiced and beautifully green, this dish exceeding my expectations. The naan was perfectly baked with plenty of garlic. The restaurant was bright and clean and the staff were very responsive. I couldn't leave without telling the owner how terrific the food was. I will definitely pick up another CVG trip in the future - so I can eat at Jot's again! read more

Jot India is another restaurant it took me way too long to try!! I had heard nothing but good things about the Newport location and finally made it to the new-ish Florence location. My favorite thing I got was Aloo Choley which is a potato and chickpea curry dish. My 4 year old niece also gives the rice two thumbs up I had enough for more than one meal and cannot wait to eat my leftovers tomorrow. Just as flavorful as expected!! Fantastic Indian cuisine, now in Florence! I saw the sign go up from where I work and was so excited that an Indian joint had opened up close-by. I absolutely love Guru- they're great, good people, been in the business for years, and are the premier, long-standing Indian restaurant on this side of the river, but for me, they're a bit of a drive to get to. Now that we've got Jot, I can get my Masala fix so much more often! Their website wasn't accepting payment the day I ordered (hopefully they'll get that fixed; if not, just call ahead, or something, it's worth it), so I stopped by for a carry-out order. I got my usual: Samosas (I got veggie this time) and Lamb Masala (this one was a ginger Kadai) with Basmati and garlic Naan. The host was great: very friendly, took my order quickly, and gave me a very reasonable wait time, leaving me barely a moment to contemplate the decor inside, which was minimalist, sleek, and modern. Twenty minutes later and a drive home, and I was in Masala heaven- yeah, the Samosas didn't make it all the way; the crispy, salty crust of the flaky pastries, with their fluffy, spicy potato and pea filling was well devoured before I got even halfway home. The Lamb Kadai was excellent: savory and spicy with ribbons of sauteed green pepper and sweated onion, and succulent, fall-apart tender lamb- so soft I cut the bigger chunks with just my spoon. The ginger was so mild and sweet, I almost didn't catch it hiding among the other, bolder flavors- more as a distinctive perfume than that usual punchy bite. The Naan was chewy and crispy, a little thinner than I'm used to, but nevertheless very delicious bread, popping with garlicky goodness and notes of charcoal from the Tandoor. In all, praiseworthy Indian cuisine fit for a Raj, and dangerously close to me. I'm definitely gonna be a return customer! read more

Yum! A friend of ours told us about the one in Newport and we were excited to hear about a closer one opening in Florence. The food was delicious! We tried a couple kinds of bread, samosas, dal and a lamb curry. It was all so yummy and even my kids love it. It's priced well and the portion aren't crazy like at some restaurants. We were so thrilled to finally see an Indian restaurant in Florence! As for our experience, we have nothing to complain about. The place is practically brand new, everything was clean as a pin, and the food was fantastic. We shared an order of Chicken Tikki Masala, Aloo Saag, and an order of regular nan. Everything tasted great. Their level one spice is very mild; perfect for those who can't handle spicy stuff. Service was flawless, and the staff couldn't be nicer. BTW, don't believe anything the reviewer who gave this one star (Vince B) says...he apparently has some sort of axe to grind about this place or it's staff. There were no bad smells, the people weren't rude, and I highly doubt he found a bug in his food. read more

Great great dish. Just in town for one night and found this gem across the sweet from my hotel. It was a short walk, just 0.3 miles. This vegetarian spinach saag that I had was delicious, tasty, well seasoned, and spicy (level 5), which created a nice busrt of flavor in my mouth. It also went well with the garlic naan I ordered on the side. Good portion and the price was reasonable. Restaurant had a clean, comfortable atmosphere. The server was polite and recommended a couple of things, and my dinner was served with very little wait time. If you like Indian, I do recommend this place. We love Indian take-out night in our house. and now we won't have to drive up Crescent Springs to get it! We had chicken makhani, saag paneer, and garlic and onion naan for our first visit. It was all very delicious but the thing that stuck out the most was the consistency of the paneer cubes in the saag. If it wasn't perfect, I don't know what is. Henceforth I will compare all paneer to this paneer. On a side note, my wife is allergic to peppers so she can't have anything too spicy. She claims that the level one spiciness here is less spicy than other places--which is great. It looks like we have our new favorite Indian place! read more

I have been fortunate enough to have lived in the UK and Dubai and have had some incredible Indian dishes, and until today, have not been able to find an Indian restaurant that measures up, but today it not only measures up, it surpasses my expectations, the Naan's were flavorful and cooked both a little crispy at the edges but soft and flavorful, the Lamb Rogan Josh, amazing, and you can of course pick your spice level. Almost forgot, we started with the Samosa (beef mince) flavorful meat, crispy crust and a great selection of chutney's to accompany! We will be frequenting! read more

Absolutely not! I have never had to add spices or seasoning to Indian food before. I had the Bhartha and there was a layer of grease on the top and it was flavorless. Honestly for the money, I would just go somewhere else. Disappointing because I was excited to have an Indian food restaurant close to me.
