Wow. Maharaja is absolutely amazing. 5 stars all day long. We ordered the Aloo Tikki and it was perfect. The Chuntys were the best and homemade. The Chef Naan was HUGE and very very delicious. Chicken Tikka Masala spice 5 was out of this world good. Service was super fast and friendly. Maharaja should be packed all the time. This is definitely one of the best Indian Restaurants in the Tristate hands down. It is so so good. Wish I would have added more pictures but you just have to try it. Excellent food, and friendly service! What else can you ask for from a restaurant? The management and our servers were really cool and nice to talk with. The menu is comprehensive and has a lot of vegetarian items, which I appreciate. The nan is excellent; I like the plain variety, but the garlic option is also top-level. The paneer dish that I got was just what I wanted. They ask you for a spice number, too, so you're sure to get food that is at your preferential heat level. What a lovely restaurant. The owners and workers were so friendly and attentive. It was early in the day but another customer came in and sat down. It was obvious he was a regular. They called him by name and inquired about his wife. You know the food is good when they have regulars they know so well. The menu is expansive and everything we had was absolutely delicious. I had chicken pollock paneer. It was a warm, spicy, creamy bowl of deliciousness that was paired with basmati rice. We also ordered both the garlic and onion naan which is a must try. I was like no as hot as you can make it will be perfect. I promise I will not send it back. When it came out it was spicy but I think they held back some. Flavor packed and the chicken was so tender. I've eaten at many of the Indian restaurants in Cincinnati, and even several in New York City (where we all know has incredible ethnic cuisines), and I think Maharaja has the best Indian food I've ever had. It's not just me--my husband agreed! We got the special chicken tikka masala (includes peppers and onions, for those who don't know--highly recommend!) and garlic naan. The naan was HUGE and had tons of garlic on it. It was also thin, which I prefer. The tikka masala was INCREDIBLE. Many restaurants add a ton of cream, which can dampen the flavor of the sauce. This tikka masala was a noticeably darker color than many other local restaurants'. However, it tasted super creamy while also packing a huge punch of flavor. It was truly the perfect balance. I was in heaven eating this meal. I can't recommend Maharaja enough. It's a tiny bit pricier than some other nearby options, but it's 10000% worth it. We decided to try Maharaja for lunch after a long morning of shopping and it did not disappoint. We were greeted immediately upon entering and the young man who took us to our table even took time out to compliment my daughter on her new baby doll she got earlier in the day. My husband had lamb and shrimp curry with level 1 spice. I had chicken Shahi Korma with level 4. Our daughter had Chicken Vindaloo with level 3. They were all excellent. My wife and I had lunch here yesterday.The food lives up to the five star rating! My wife opted for the Chicken Tikka Masala and I chose the Shrimp Curry. We added Garlic Naan. Both dishes were perfectly prepared and ample amounts for lunch portions. The seasoning was right on point. My 3 had my cheeks red and allowed the flavor to come through. The Naan was the largest portion I have ever seen and the garlic was unmistakable on the surface of the bread. We will enjoy all the leftovers for lunch tomorrow. It is hard to miss the fact that the building used to be a Gold Star Chili joint but with the painting and redecorating that the owners have done, especially the tablecloths and the cloth napkins, this quickly fades. Our server, Kawaljit, was courteous and attentive though we could not figure out why he did not clear the tables of the guests that had left the restaurant. The cost was in line with other Indian restaurants in our area. Parking was ample and the location of the restaurant is easy access from the highway. We are likely to return in the future. read more

We love Indian food and decided to try this new spot. Our host and hostess were friendly and attentive. The former Gold Star restaurant has been tastefully converted to a clean, comfortable dining space with both booths and tables. The table linens were a nice touch and the overall presentation of the food and table was great. We split Tandoori chicken which came out sizzling and delicious.
