Some of my faves are the chicken tikka saag, chicken tikka masala and the magi chicken (not fruity nor too sweet). The garlic naan is also clutch. Bhindi masala is some of the best I've ever had - it's light and not too tomatoey and lets the okra shine through. Okra is not overcooked. Sooo tasty. I tried cholay (aloo) for the first time here and I love it. The mango chutney has the right flavor for me, super sweet. Mango lassi is really thick and not too sweet. Kheer was really good and also not too sweet. I wish they would have had gajar ka halwa on the menu because I bet it would be amazing. I have pretty basic picks because I'm pretty basic about Indian food. But I think everything here on the menu must be amazing. Don't be afraid to try anything!! I think generally the Tandoori Chicken was dry (meaning not wet), but there had to be some sauce on the plate. Bottom line... for us, Ambar India Restaurant provided typical Indian cuisine. And though the staff were super attentive, we found ourselves confused. The food is good and if you live in the area it's a good spot for Indian, though there are many options in the area.
