Momo, a steamed and filled dumpling popular in Tibetan, Nepalese, and North Indian cuisine, gets a fiery twist here. Ajeet is dishing out flavor-packed Momos (with halal chicken). We ordered a spice level of 5 on their scale and our noses were running, but in the best way possible. If your spice tolerance is on the lower end, trust me, scale it down a bit. Came here for lunch and it did not disappoint. Had the chicken curry at a level 4 spice and it was exactly what I was hoping for. Garlic naan was excellent as well. A no frills experience, but the server was friendly and I left full and happy. Would definitely come back to try some other dishes! read more

Here why this place gets 2/5... -1 star = the spice level of my dish is so off that I can't taste the food. I picked 3/6 for my goat curry, and the dish is so hot I can't TASTE the curry, much less imagine someone eating a 6!!! -1 star = the goat is tough (undercooked). I've had super-tender goat from other places, and this is NOT it. My jaws are working way too much with this spice to break down this goat. -1 = my naan feels/looks old. Sorry, but this naan is a little too dry for me to believe it was made recently, much less today. This is a small restaurant in a little down town area in Clifton. When I walked in, everything smelled so good and fresh. It was only about 2 other people in there. I ordered the shrimp biryani with a spice level of 3 and a side of garlic naan. It's true what they say about hole in the wall places because this has to be the best Indian food I EVER Had. The bread was so hot and fresh and very flavorful. The biryani was piled so high and they were generous with the shrimp. My food came out hot and fresh and was piping hot until I was full. I ordered take out from here through DoorDash. Awesome, absolutely amazing food! I got the paneer biryani and the vegetable momos. Unfortunately they forgot to pack sauce for my momos but it's ok because they were so flavorful! The paneer biriyani had a great amount of paneer in there and was very yummy. I stopped in out of necessity as my first choice let me down, and while the signage outside welcomed visitors to the opportunity to serve them, the place didn't give me a ton of confidence inside. However, the food which eventually arrived was the real deal, with an array of fresh-tasting dumplings with the sort of mustard sauce distinctive to Nepali restaurants, and a fresh and spicy batch of chickpeas to go with my fried bread. The menu promised rice with that as well, which I didn't receive, leaving me a bit stuck between being happy to dodge the extra carbs versus miffed that I have all these extra chickpeas. But overall, my conclusion is that this place can produce good quality vegetarian Indian food. read more

Really like this place. It's close by and the website makes it easy to order and pick up. The chili chicken momos are a star dish. The garlic naan is solid as is the chicken naan. 4 stars as I've had some misses and those items were a little expensive. The chicken tikka masala is very meh. The chicken pakora was actually inedible. Extremely dry and tough. The staff has been very kind every time I've been, so no harm done. Would still eat here. read more

Last time I got half the stuff I ordered. I spoke with one of them around 3.30PM EST and categorically told them that I will order again; and currently when I order they drop my call; twice in a row. Please do not order their Biriyanis - I have tried - Chicken/Lamb/Mutton, you will barely get two pieces with a gallon of rice. For $17 one can buy 3 lbs of lamb + with $5 more one can make Biriyanis that will last for a week. read more

There are a quite a few Indian restaurants in Cincinnati that are just "good". Ajeet is not just good but exceptional. It is about as authentic as we will find. The saag was perfect and the tikka masala was right on point. If you like Indian...this is the place in Cincinnati! read more

Was excited to try this new place on Ludlow. We were definitely big fans of the lamb chops! Very tasty and tender. The chicken makhani was good, just lacked some flavor. We got a spice level 6+ but it wasn't too spicy. The garlic naan was thin and flaky and perfect! Loved the naan. The food was fresh and delicious! I had vegetarian chickpea dish, and my husband had lamb. Yummy!! If you've never had bhatura, I highly recommend. Memories of the raita make my mouth water. Ajeet is my favorite chicken biryani in the city! The portions are HUGE! I could make one meal into three, but it's so good it usually turns into just two. All types of their naan are delicious. There are so many different variations, it's often hard to choose just one. I haven't varied far from these two menu items because they are so delicious! I will say, I usually order delivery, so I have no idea what the restaurant is like. I'll check it out one day, but for now I'm satisfied eating the Felicia biryani and naan in my living room. read more

I ordered through Grubhub, got lamb biryani and tandori chicken. I ordered a way higher spice limit because I thought it came with jasmine rice. Apparently it does not. I can't eat any of it. $50 down the drain!! I'm having a hard time even buying groceries, this did not help at all. I'll never order from them again. Lamb is grisley and the chicken is chicken legs, and there is nothing in the flavor of the dish that suggests it was cooked in a tandoori oven. I also love that they have Ras Malai on the menu, as not a lot of restaurants offer it in the area. This place brings the typical North Indian Flavor and spices to Cincinnati. I had the Dal Tadka, Saag (Vegan) and Vegetable Samosas. They were extraordinary. The chef here follows the instructions perfectly and special shoutout to the Vegan Saag which was out of the world. The spice levels are also very different from the other Indian Restaurants. They do not add chilli powder, instead they add extra green chilli which is just amazing. Love the food here. Don't miss this place. read more

We love their chicken tandoori and biryanis. The aloo tiki was very tasty, too, when it's fresh. Lately the food quality is not very good. We ordered a full chicken tandoori, and the chicken pieces were all tail bones. Consider how expensive everything is becoming, I try to understand, but I'd rather see them adjust the menu prices instead of cutting back on quality. They also seem to forget items when I do takeout orders, and wanting me to go back to pick it up when I call them about it after I'm already home. Overall, I still have hope for their food and will continue going there. I also would recommend the place. Just check the bag before you leave if you do takeouts. read more

Stopped in here yesterday afternoon (Covid Saturday), and the place was empty--after eating our lunch, we cannot understand why this place was empty. It was just great. Good price. They even made a dish for me that was not on the menu (aloo gobi). The special tea was terrific. We brought enough home for a meal today plus the server gave us extra rice and a container of raita. Omg, I'm SO happy this place opened. I'm a vegan and I've missed saag for yeaaaars (it's my favorite Indian dish!) I couldn't believe my ears when they told me they could make it vegan! Absolutely delicious. Comparable quality to Ambar but with much more for us vegans. This is purely a food review. I was recommended this place by a friend, and ordered the tikka masala to go. The place is very unassuming, but just wait for the food. The tikka masala was absolutely fantastic, full of rich flavor and a little sneaky spice for those who like spicy foods. You can definitely add more spice, which I did, and it was delightful. The portion size was on par with the price, and I was able to get a second meal out of what was left! I've also heard the chicken Vindaloo is awesome. I have tried the appetizers from almost every Indian restaurants in Cincinnati. The samosas served here are so amazing that you will never want your samosas to actually finish. The chutneys, potato stuffing are so authentic that you can smell the streets of old Delhi. The quantity of other dishes is huge and the price is much lower than that of Ambar's. This place open till midnight almost everyday. Bonus of visiting Ajeet: $2.99 Rasmalai is not at all similar to the one from India. It's even better. The owner let us know the power just went out but he's still able to cook for us (the benefits of having a gas kitchen!) It ended up being a super romantic dinner in candle light.
