I gave this place a 5-star rating because of its ambiance and location. It's just so sad that this pandemic struck the whole world that the in person setting changes dramatically. I love my coffee here in the morning just sitting and watching the surroundings especially the little lake or I may say, the pond. hehe! It's nice to jog around the area and dropping by to pick my favorite coffee before going back home. The Journey Coffee's cafe Americano is my favorite including my wife. I dunno but the taste is just right. In this pandemic time, every weekend, this place is packed outside, sometimes social distancing is just irrelevant with addition of not wearing mask while sipping your coffee that's why I'd rather stop by here every weekdays if I have the chance rather than weekends or just walk around the lake sipping with your coffee every weekend but not staying by the benches outside the coffee shop because some people just don't care, as if they're immortal. So far, I have no problem with my orders whether ordering ahead or ordering inside. The crew are just very friendly and accommodating. No gloomy days in this place. If you haven't been here, you should try especially with your loved one strolling around the lake sipping with your drinks whether it's hot or cold, and if you're not gonna like it, it's up to you. As for my wife & I, we keep coming back here especially early weekday morning just to chill. read more

Just painfully slow. The place was nearly empty and I counted at least 3 employees. It was nearly 10 minutes before they started to make the order before mine. My order only took 2 minutes to make but I ended up waiting more than 10 minutes. Ugh. Maybe tell people in advance that there is a wait. read more

Unfortunately, there have been several occasions where they've been completely out of smoothies, which is always a disappointment. I love all of the Journey Coffee locations but this one is by far my favorite. As a self employed professional, I really appreciate having lots of seating options and lots of outlets to plug in my computer. This Journey Coffee has by far the most seating options and space available. Additionally, the aesthetic of the interior design is modern and inviting. The vibe from the staff is identical to the other locations. They care about customer service and are knowledgeable about coffee and the entire menu. You can tell feel that they care about their customers having a great experience and provide a great product. Absolutely love grabbing a cup of coffee and working for a while here. I'm a fan of journeys and decided to visit this location we've never been to. I am not eating meat at the time and they didn't have the egg white wrap at this location but the cashier suggested the egg white bowl but in a burrito and I said no bacon no cheese. We waited about 15 minutes and went to sit outside and my first bite I had a piece of sausage in it ): and I tried to take it out and it was just all over the place, it had no spinach, or avocado. I wish I could give a glowing review of this Journey, but the quality of people in the world has deteriorated, so therefore the service industry has been hit as well. It's gets 5 stars simply cuz the competition is so bad. But still staff could be nicer they make you out to be the bad guy for asking some questions/small talk. But coffees good! The food is great, along with "most" of the other staff. So no complaints here! Also the location?! Come on place is great to meet up or get some work done. I'm overall good drop in spot I wouldn't come daily simply cuz the staff. So today I decided to check in at this Journey. It's located inside the brand new One Lake housing community. This location offers a really pleasing view of a man-made lake outside. They offer spacious indoor and outdoor seating. Very nice and modern decor making it really comforting to just come here to hang out. On weekends like today, expect the noise level to be above average. May not be suitable to get any work done here if you cannot tolerate noise. I ordered an ice latte with a plain bagel with cream cheese. The lady that took my order me seemed nice. However I didn't like the vibe from the tall guy who made my drink as he called my name for my coffee and I simply asked him if my Bagel was coming out soon, his answer threw me to the side when he said "that's the food department". I didn't know that Journey have separate "departments" to fulfill your order and he was clearly not interested to find out for me and continued making his drinks. So I patiently waited for 10 minutes for someone to call my name for my Bagel. Finally my mother walked up and asked the lady who helped me and she had that look on her face that said "oh that's right...they ordered the bagel". Yah, someone forgot about my order and my coffee is already half gone. Kind of disappointed this was the case here because the level of service at their Chadbourne Rd location was stellar compared to here, but at least the view made up for the miscommunication and lack of customer service. I'll give it a solid 3.5 stars and try again after a few months to see how things improved. read more

I really wish I could give this Journey Coffee location a better rating because I honestly love this place. Let's start with the Pros: Location is at the beautiful One Lake Community. The coffee house is modern and offers comfortable seating areas both indoors and outdoors. There are a variety of cafe foods/ snacks to meet different dietary preferences. The coffee is great, and I really enjoy their overnight oats for a sweet pick me up. Cons: I have ordered a breakfast hand pie or their vegetarian quiche during multiple visits, and they have always come to me burnt. The first time it happened, I let it go thinking it was just a fluke. However after getting burnt food for a second and third time, it called for a decrease in their Yelp rating. If you want to come here to catch up with friends, this is a great location. However, if you need to study or do any type of real work, I recommend a quieter alternative. The music is louder than most cafe environments and the chatter can be very distracting. Moving forward, I'll be visiting the Alamo location over this at One Lake. read more

Coffee & food: 3 stars --fairly decent but nothing to rave about. Wait time & service: 2 stars I'm writing this review as I'm sitting here eating my subpar salad, which, I waited 33 minutes for. I checked on my order a few times, checked the counter, and listened for my name to be called but my salad never came. The staff normally come outside and yell out your order and your name and hand you your order but that just was not the case this time. I followed up on my order once more and I found a container sitting at the counter. I checked with one of the baristas who then consulted with her co-worker to make sure it was the item I had been waiting on. Sure enough, it was. I grabbed the container and proceeded to walk away and I was met with a defensive, "they said they called out your name a while ago." I did not even complain or say anything to warrant that kind of response and I'm not saying no one did call my name out but I was sitting outside and I heard every name called--none of which was mine. Very pleased with my decision to try this wonderful cafe! Absolutely stunning interior with views of the pond. Wonderful walking path around the pond with exercise stations and kids play areas (still being built). The cafe has a large patio sitting area and grassy area in addition to indoor seating. Everything is just really lovely and top tier. I ordered chai latte with almond milk. Then decided to stay for dinner and tried their cheeseburger which came with a generous side of thick cut fries. Definitely ask for extra sauce from the burger to dip your fries! I also tried the Neapolitan cheesecake. All of the items were amazing and flavorful and delicious! This is such a great location within a community next to mini communities off the Vanden Road area when we heard they were opening up and journeys in this community. I've only been to the a few of the locations - OneLake in Fairfield and Alamo and Main stores in Vacaville. I love that they offer a variety of things to eat and goodies. Love the vibe here. Unfortunately, I visited on a super windy day. Can't blame them for that so it won't be held against them. I had an oat milk latte and a breakfast hand pie.
