Awesome coffee shop nestled in downtown Vacaville! We were greeted right away with super nice friendly staff! You can tell they are total sweethearts. I tried the summer drink - the citrus matcha tonic and it was so good and refreshing! The bf got the bulletproof (perfect for Keto) and it was tasty too! It's interesting that it's like located inside a theater! Only con I can think of is theres a bit of wait to get your drinks but other than that.. it was great. There is small handful of indoor seats and plenty of outdoor seating which we end up sitting to get a bit of sunshine in the morning after school drop offs. Perfect for a fun coffee date!

I've been to Journey in their Fairfield, One Lake, and Alamo location before but this was the first time at the Downtown one. The ambiance is slightly different since it's the theatre downtown. The others were a more farmhouse rustic vibe. This one seems to be very popular with families. I saw 2-3 groups with strollers when we came. But the service is just as great. The "You Matter" theme still holds here. I think the downtown location may offer slightly more breakfast food options and more seating! I haven't been here when the bar has been open. We ordered a chai latte, matcha latte, and the oat pancakes. Once again I've been very satisfied with their matcha lattes. The chai latte was heavy on the cinnamon. Their options for non-dairy milk are a little limited compared to other cafes. But it's still great they ask if whole milk is okay. The pancakes were made to order and took a little wait. With so much on the menu there's a good chance we'll be back to try the other items.

This Journey's location is pretty solid when it comes to cafes in the Vacaville downtown area. While walking downtown on a Monday morning, I noticed a lot of other breakfast and bakeries closed at 0800 as well as being closed on Monday. Journey is opened everyday and has a large selection of breakfast and lunch items to order from. Like a lot of people have said, this café is located in the entrance of the Deville Theater and often will have people walking through the café to the theater for events. There's a bar located on the adjacent side of register but not open in the mornings - when? I don't know. The service here is very friendly - as are all the other Journey locations. I had placed my daughter in the Discovery Hub a few doors down and wanted to be within walking distance incase she wanted to leave early and asked the cashier if I could work on my laptop in the dining area. As soon as I got his approval I was locked and loaded, busting out meetings and schedules in the corner of the café. I could possibly start a Yelp list specifically for people that need a place to work in public because I'm sure it would be very resourceful for those that need information. Such as, the tables along the window has two outlets where you can plug in your power. There's also the bar area that has an electrical outlet as well. In the case that there is an event in the DaVille, the noise can be loud (bring noise canceling headphones/microphone). My daughter and I ordered the almond croissant roll and chocolate croissant roll. They were both as delicious as we'd expect it. I'll have to try other items on the menu as the selection is far more immense than the other locations that I've seen!

Good coffee, unique venue and look like they have a full bar and wine tasting next door. What's not to love? This is definitely a must stop when in Vacaville.

Ah! I love it here. I'm pretty particular about my matcha lattes & saw 2 people walking by me with iced matcha lattes (in the PERFECT shade of green) and had to ask where they got it from. They led me here! It's a spacious interior! Love the vibe in here. Very rock & roll/concert hall. They serve tons of breakfast options. In the evenings this place is transformed into an event center! For matcha, they offer sweetened powder & unsweetened power. They only serve their iced matcha in a 20oz cup which I didn't mind since I added extra matcha powder. Service was awesome & very kind!! I ordered my matcha with unsweetened power then asked for it to be sweetened with honey. The matcha is absolutely delicious. I approve 100%. You can still taste the bitterness & astringency of the powder even though it's 20oz. Shoutout Journey! You guys are killin' it!

Took my chef bestie here for her birthday. Wanted to try something new and different in Vacaville and Happen to stumble upon this place. We parked at the parking lot walked right in and was greeted right away. It's one of those places that you walk up to the counter or order the food and then they bring it to you. Staff was super friendly there. I got their club on a croissant with a side of fries and my best friend pretty much got the same thing. Everything was made very delicious and came out really fast. We will definitely be back to try the rest of the stuff off the menu. I love that this place has so many events going on every weekend. Live music and sports or something else. Definitely have to come back to do a live music night with others definitely will be back again.

Cute little cafe in downtown area. They do breakfast and lunch, coffee and smoothies. Burger was pretty good. Fries were nice. Chicken strips seemed somehow a little over done but the breading had some decent flavor. The tropical smoothie was sweet. Caesar salad was fresh but I don't like the powdered parm as much as the strips. I appreciate the clean restrooms and it looked like they had a baby changer that you could lay out. I think the overall place is cute.

Visiting from SF, I stopped here for breakfast since it opens early (7:30) and has a menu of more than pastries and coffee. The staff behind the counter were friendly and I quickly placed my order for a sandwich and latte. There's a lot of seating inside and outside and I made myself comfortable at a 2-top by the window. My drink came out after a few minutes and my sandwich was brought out not long after. Seasonal pumpkin spice latte: ordered this with oat milk. Delicious, and probably heavier on the pumpkin than other PSLs I've had. No complaints here and the medium was a perfect size for me. Showtime sammy: I loved all the components, only wish the bread was larger (for more sandwich and also because it got messy as the insides easily came out). They play great music that isn't too loud, and it seems to be a regular place for the community. Would recommend!

Monday had a completely different dynamic. From the very beginning, the staff was huddled by the juice press complaining about the music playlist and debating how & who was going to address the problem of the music playlist (or lack thereof - not sure which). Eventually, one of them acknowledged us and took our order. We sat down to wait and that's when the cashier walked over to the staff that was standing by the juice press and they continued complaining about the "playlist" or creating a playlist or something *I dunno* All I know is that one person was standing at the juice press and waiting for something and the other employee just stood there talking to her about the music playlist and who is "going to tell him". It was a full 6 minutes of us just sitting there. Nobody was even attempting to start my coffee order. My husband finally got up and told them that we are on a timeline. That's when the employee standing next to the employee staring at the juice press walked over to the Expresso machine and started to make my drink. Then they made it incorrectly, giving me only 2 shots not the 3 that I paid for. Then she proceeded to dump some of the liquid from the cup out and simply added another shot. This is wrong on so many levels. The coffee is delicious, the cold pressed juices are fresh and perfectly balanced. The customer service is hit/miss. Oh, and the tip jar is back front and center. Ironic that is is the last thing I was willing to do after the crappy service. PS Not sure what all the fuss is about the music playlist, BUT it's a BIG F*ing Deal for Mondays staff. Please address it so that they can focus on making coffee. Thanks.

There is now a Tesla Supercharger so navigate to that instead of the cafe so that your Tesla preconditions while you enjoy your morning. They no longer support their own app and have turned the keys over to Square to create an account to make it easier to pay and reorder. The ready times you get in the app are later than it's usually ready so I recommend giving them 10-20 minutes lead time. Here's my rating of the variety of foods and drinks I've tried. Undertow - 8 - Fun twist on a cortado as the half and half is cold and they add a splash of vanilla. The hot espresso is carefully floated on top of the milk so that when you drink you feel the cold "underflow" of vanilla milk. Cortado- 8 - Small but powerful sip of espresso. I prefer it with half and half and a touch of sugar over Journey's method but it is a tasty sip. Lavender Latte - -10 - the best version of a lavender latte you'll ever have. Cherry Blossom Latte - 9 - The cherry syrup is very forward but blends nicely into the latte which gives it light finish. The coffee does get a touch lost so add an extra shot. Citrus Cocoa Latte - 9 - The orange syrup is prevalent throughout the drink but the cocoa starts to stand up more the last half of the drink. I don't prefer chocolate drinks but this doesn't taste like a mocha at all. Very well done Journey!!! Veggie n Egg Breakfast Wrap - 7 - Light and flavorful but needs some pop from another ingredient. I recommend using the Tapatio hit sauce to elevate it above our 7 rating for those that want some pop of flavor and can handle spice. Breakfast Hand Pie - 6 - The pastry wasn't crispy but it did have some crispy seeds on it to save the texture, a bit gummy for my liking. The filling was also creamy with more cheese than needed (and I love cheese). Although good, I wouldn't get it again because the flavor of the filling fell flat. First Class Wrap - 10 - If you can handle spice, the chipotle sauce is amazing amidst the variety of ingredients. This is my go-to and everybody I introduce it to gets it as well. Every business partner I've introduced this right off the freeway coffee stop has loved and kept as their own. It's a no brainer if you're headed down I-80.

I think the experience largely depends on what you get and if you personally like it. Previously I had gotten two açaí bowls. The workers were very accommodating to my banana allergy. But something in the bowls had a taste that I wasn't a big fan of. Maybe it was the blue spirulina. But the servings were appropriate for the price. This time we got a mango colada lemonade, lilikoi toast, coconut and peanut butter toast, and a sunrise smoothie. I really liked my lilikoi toast! I would order that again. The sunrise smoothie was not sweet. If anything it has a bit of a salty note (maybe from the coconut water). The mango colada was very refreshing on a hot day. I wish the fruit they used was a little more ripe (bananas for toast and mango in lemonade) for more natural sweetness.

Located in the busy Vacaville Outlets and closest to Tommy Hilfiger and Kate Spade, this brick-and-mortar business has been in operation since the spring of 2022. It reminds me a lot of those Mexican fruit stand street vendors that sell various refreshing fruits and desserts on a warm summer day. The inside of this place is a little on the smaller side. I also wanted to point out that there is no interior seating but they do offer quite a bit of outdoor seating. Much of this is shared with the neighboring food trucks that operate during various business hours. Either way and especially on busy weekend days, it can fill up quickly. Finally, this business does not have any public restrooms but there are restrooms (operated by Vacaville Outlets) which is a quick 2-minute walk from here. I came here on two separate occasions during a 2-month stretch; the first visit was on Sunday 4/16/2023 (a 5-star experience) and the second visit was on Saturday 6/17/2023 (a 3-star experience). Both visits to me were entirely different in every way possible. The first visit I ended up ordering a large cup of mangos in a cup complete with Tajin sprinkled on it as well as freshly squeezed mango juice. During my most recent visit, I went again with the large cup of mangos in a cup. I don't know if the timing was off, but my first visit was SO much better. The employees that worked behind the counter; not to mention my cup of mangos were absolutely amazing and delicious. There has to be the right consistency, and these were the best I've eaten in a long time. However, the second visit leaves a lot to be desired. Not only was it busy but the employees seems very disoriented and not very friendly. I also wanted to add that the mangos were hard, not ripe, and lacked any real flavor. That's why it is hard to determine how any business operates unless you visit it on a regular basis. This goes for the food business where the freshness of fruits can definitely vary. Don't get me wrong, this place is definitely worth a visit; pricey but still very good. With that said and done, I am giving "Fruity Mania" an above average four-star rating.
