I had a 2015 GMC Sierra pick up truck that was serviced regularly with Velasquez Complete Auto Care…read morein Round lake and Gurnee since 2017 and it was running good until February 2022. I went to Velasquez complete auto care in Gurnee in late January 2022 for an oil change, days later in early February, my car stalled on the side of the highway driving to work with no oil pressure observed. I contacted Velasquez complete autocare in Gurnee and they stated just to come in to the shop see what the problem was. I get my vehicle towed to their shop and they said it was a failed oil pump and that I needed to replace it along with a timing chain, so I went ahead and purchased a new oil pump to be installed and days later as I was drivng on the highway in the middle of winter my car stalls again! I get my vehicle towed back to their shop and they state that my entire engine Is no longer operable and needed to be replaced! All of this occurred 3 weeks after my oil change in January. What?! I asked how could I have complete engine failure after I had a recent oil change, a recent oil pump replacement and this not be something that was noticeable. I had no other options and got them to replace the engine. All of this was a total mistake, worst decision I ever made. The replacement engine was worse than the original. I was told by a district manager that all the recent replaced parts were under warranty.  Well each time I got my truck back I had engine problems, misfire of cylinders, engine stalling, truck not starting, engine check light on for 6 months! I got stranded with my truck stalling with the same issues in Tennessee and had to get it fixed at a NAPA shop down there for $900+ and Velasquez said they would not cover it. Bring it back to Velasquez shop in Gurnee to fix it under warranty and they never did.  The last time I picked it up after almost 3 months in the shop the engine light comes literally on while getting gas the same day.  I spent over $12,000 dollars in repairs and it was all a total waste. Never go to this place. They fixed nothing and I had nothing to show for all the money I spent.  I could not get rid of my truck fast enough because each time I got it back after they fixed it, it broke down again. I have 2 vehicles that have lasted well over 10 years with no issues like this and still run with minimal maintenance. Totally disappointed with their quality, communication and follow through to honor their work they said they would do. My supposed warranties for the major mechanical items did absolutely nothing to help resove the constant issues I had to face.  I got stranded on the road 3 times.  I had to have the truck towed to their shop 2 times after they "fixed it" and have nothing to show for all of it.
