I needed an auto mechanic I could trust. The last guy I tried wanted to sell me a $700.00+ alternator, when all my van needed was a battery. So after that possible burn, I knew I needed to find somebody I could trust. My transmission was leaking. the pick up was easy enough but seems they got mad at me because they only had two parking spots and I happened to pick the wrong one. which was also where I had gotten it from. but then on top of that they charged my card an extra 33 bucks or so for whatever without notifying me either. so be careful not to get your money stolen when renting a truck here. read more

I had scraped my car on my apartment garage and thought it went down to the base paint layer. The man in charge took a look at it and wiped off the garage paint for free. It was a no hassle encounter. His sales approach was not overly aggressive like most places. He tells you what you can do and does not pressure you to do work you're not comfortable with. If there's one thing I hate more then going to the dentist, it's going to an auto shop. I've taken multiple cars to dozens of shops and nearly eve time I have a terrible experience of getting overcharged for services and parts that my vehicle did not require. I first found this place through a recommendation through my dad. He told me that he got quotes from half a dozen nearby auto shops and that this place beat every single one of them. So I brought my car in the other day and spoke to the owner Tom. The guy is very easy going and is really friendly. On my first visit I showed up without an appointment and his team immediately went to work on the vehicle and I was out of there within half an hour. He never put me on the spot to pressure me into buying overpriced useless services. That's something you will not find in corporate franchise owned auto shops. I definitely plan on bringing my car back to this shop and if anyone in Lake County asks me for auto shop recommendations this will be the only shop on my list. read more

Brought our 2007 Jeep for an estimate to replace front bumper and wheel flare. From the very start Tom was extremely courteous and provided the estimate within minutes -willing to reduce the price if he were to locate an aftermarket or used bumper. We had several estimates and his was very competetive. We decided to keep our patronage local and went with Advanced Auto Works. WOW....could not have been more pleased! He had the parts prepainted which expedited the process, we were able to pick up our beloved Jeep in 1 day! The Jeep was washed and with the replaced parts looked like a brand new vehicle!! The best part was the final cost was less than the original estimate.....how often does that happen....usually the price goes up! Great guy, great work! Took a week or so to get the parts, but could not have been nicer and more apologetic about it. I didn't even feel like it was that long. I would have expected longer. Everytime I requested an update his response was very timely. Knows how to treat a customer with respect and did a really nice job on the vehicle.
