One time, I went to the Journeys store at the Roseville Westfield Galleria with my mom. We were just browsing around, looking at all the cool shoes. After a few minutes, one of the employees came up to us and asked if we wanted to try on the display shoe that was sitting out on the floor. He looked at my mom and said, "Do you want to try this one on?" Before my mom could answer, I quickly jumped in and said, "No, her feet are a little too big for those." The guy paused, kind of surprised, and then gave a little laugh. We ended up not getting anything, and as we were leaving the store, the same guy called out to my mom and said, "Good luck with your sassy daughter!" I just smiled and kept walking. I needed to reup on my chucks, the last pair I purchased was about 6 years ago lol talk about being frugal. As soon as I walked in I was immediately greeted by Gabriella who was assisting another guests. I picked up two pairs of Chucks and Gabriella offered her opinion on color and I ended up purchasing one navy blue and the color Gabriella chose which is a greyish color. Never seen this color before. The showroom was spotless and Gabriella's customer service is 5 star! This is why the 5th star. The journey at journeys was a successful one thanks to Gabriella and her information on my shoe purchase. We didn't even buy anything from this location (due to the sizing being primarily adult focused and my son needs a 6). However, she directed us to other options within the mall, even competitors, all in the name of customer-first service. Shortly after Christmas 2022 I went to Journeys. The staff was friendly and helpful. I purchased a $199. pair of Doc Martens. I have been unable to wear them but once or twice because of the constant rain. I noticed a manufacturer flaw with the tongue on the left boot and it won't stay in place, but moves to the right after about 10 steps. I went back to the store to see what could be done. The sales person said it's perfectly NORMAL for the boots to be made with this problem and there's nothing that can be done. GRRRR I can't imagine it's normal to pay that much money for something made incorrectly ‍. I then went to the Doc Martens store right downstairs. The staff there agreed that while she has heard of it, it's definitely not NORMAL and if I had bought them there she would replace them. She did give me ideas to possibly redeem my $200 pair of boots. Moral of the story, buy your Doc Martens from Doc Martens and not Journeys. read more

As a corporate entity, they have an unfortunate and misleading return policy. You have a year to return something, but you must keep the box and not rely on the e-mail receipt. I had a receipt that didn't go through and another that was entered improperly as an online return. When they wouldn't take back my merchandise due to this policy, I became one of those irate customers that I totally hate threatening to contact the company and even write a Yelp review. One of the managers saw that I was upset, immediately came over and got on the phone and did everything she could to at least get me an exchange. My old ass walked out of there with some dope as hell white Doc Martens boots and I couldn't be more grateful to the charming youngsters who helped me out. I hope the company decides to show more compassion to their sweet and knowledgable employees and loosen or clarify their return policy. They shouldn't have to deal with this all day. read more

Bought a pair of shoes here over the weekend, they were a bit small but still were capable of wearing. Came back three days later after giving more thought into it and ordering a different size online, the guy REMEMBERED me and even asked about the shoes I was returning. In the beginning process of trying to return a different associate of there's helped me and asked for my name, email and phone number. Then asked for the receipt and said I got it emailed.... to find out I NEVER got the email of my receipt (searched for it and looked in my spam file). They weren't able to pull up my purchase or use my debt card to find the transaction, pretty much i was stuck with a pair of shoes that I had already gotten a size that fit me better. I've worked at many retail places and other areas in which customers are important and this experience made this company lose a customer. Do not ever get your receipt emailed because you won't get it, and if you're thinking of returning something here don't waste your time. If you're looking to purchase something go for it because they'll do whatever they can to help you but that's the only time they'll ever be helpful. NOT WORTH YOUR BUSINESS read more

ABSOLUTE WORST BUSINESS IN THE ENTIRE MALL. I highly suggest that if you are considering buying shoes here or giving this store any sort of business, DONT! I have had multiple experiences in this store that have left me in extremely uncomfortable. My first experience was when I was obviously looking for shoes. I was approached by a employee (a male teen) and he noticed that I was looking at the display with a guitar in it (I can't remember what it was advertising, I just know that there was a guitar). He said that I should try to steal the guitar. I looked at him with a stupid look and said no. Then he responded with "I would, but it's not worth losing my job over." Idiot kid was smart enough to realize that. I quickly left the store and went else where. No one wants to be approached with comments like that. Not good for business at all. I made the mistake of returning, especially on Black Friday. I was checking out some sandals by the counter. I was wearing a jacket, but got hot because of how many people were in the store. So I took my jacket off and held it in my arms. I was immediately asked by the manager to open up my jacket and give back the shoes I was "about" to steal. I was not stealing any shoes. I was hot and did not want to wear my jacket. You would think the manager would know the difference between someone stealing and just holding a jacket. I can't believe that someone accused me of stealing. To me, that is possibly the worst thing any one could ever accuse a customer of. Overall, don't go here. There are so many better shoe stores in the mall. Better stores that have way better manners and deserve YOUR business. read more

If you are looking for some sweet Pumas, Vans, Cons, etc. this place is great. It's in the mall and has great service. Employees are ready to help, great advice and wear the clother themselves. The gear that they do have is better than Buckle, Vans Store and others in the mall if you're after shoes. Plus they are all around the size of my wife which is good for comparables too. I think I saw dancing in there. Shop away and grab a cinnabon if you can. Perhaps a beer at Plutos if it's Xmas season. read more

The floors had huge dust bunnies all over. & we were there at 10:15am so it was like they had a big busy day before we walked in. Disgusting. I was told by the employee on staff they only have 5 employees...that's 4 more than necessary to clean up! What's the Roseville Galleria coming to?? Honestly the worst ever retail experience I've ever had.... I ordered a adorable pair of Dr Martens online for myself for my birthday, the style was on sale for $80 what a deal right??? Online shopping is a typical routine for me as I live in the sticks of the foot hills and the best shopping is at least an hour drive.. My package arrives, and I open it to discover on the shoe box it says W7...okay.. I don't think much of it as I worked retail before and every now and then a shoe gets mixed up in the wrong box.. Well I open it and take a look at the boots. They look smaller than a 9 [the size I am, the size I ordered] I still give them a chance and try them on. Yeah they're definitely 2 sizes too small. Crap. So I contact customer service. I express to them how a mistake mustve been made on the retail side of the transaction because I ordered a 9 and got a 7... told them I live quite a ways away from the closest journeys and would like to spare the trouble of driving there. All the rep offers is a rehearsed apology and to send a shipping label so I could return in by mail...which by the way will take 12-24 hrs to receive in my email..another 2 days to process and 5 days for them just to receive and for me to finally get my refund. They refused to refund me without first receiving the box in the mail or in the store. Long story short I end up calling this store [the store that shipped my order] spoke to a ditzy sounding manager and even reached out to another online rep and literally none of them truly held themselves accountable for their mistake . I was not offered a reasonable discount for my trouble, nor was I offered to have the correct size sent to me at no cost. I was never offered a solution that wouldn't trouble me more or cause me to use more of my time and money to resolve this issue. I've worked retail for years now and thats just no way to deal with a mistake that the STORE MADE. Amazon will refund you the money without return no questions asked. Its a different story when you order something and simply don't end up liking it or the fit, its completely different when you specifically order a size of an item and are sent the wrong thing.. So I'm definitely not spending my money here anymore. Super sad excuse for customer service especially for such a large business, you guys can and should afford to fix these mistakes by a no return refund or a new shipment no cost. read more

I bought a very expensive north face jacket and wore it once in my house and noticed it was defective on the sleeve and fraying. It was only two days that passed and my wife took it back to exchange it for another that wasn't defective. The two women were beyond rude and degrading to my wife and said it was normal wear and tear they would not exchange it. It was two days old I had the receipt everything! I called to try and make sense of this but got the same response and profanity sworn at me. I called the head office and they were horrified at the treatment we received. I asked she be fired or reprimanded. They are sending me a new jacket from the main store ,but still a horrible experience and will never do business there again! Spent 250 allot of money and to be treated like trash. Hopefully they are fired. I work in health care and if I'd treated anyone in that manor I'd been fired on the spot. BE WARE!! I was at the Journey store at the Roseville Galleria in Roseville tonight and the service was terrible. I was ready to purchase 3 pairs of $200 boots totally over $600 and choose to walk away. The place wasn't that busy. There were a few customers there and the two girls decided to give their attention elsewhere. Just because I wasn't dressed up doesn't mean I don't have any money to spend. It was a sure lost for the company tonight and I will pass the word as to how this location treats their customers.
