Terrible experience. I got measured and ordered my shoe online- showing it's in stock. Then 2 days later they just cancel my order because they can't find that shoe in stock. Ahhh Fleet Feet reminds me of my younger days when we were eagerly training for races, getting fitted with new Brooks running shoes, stocking up on Honey Stinger Chews, discussing Gu flavors, and buying fancy running socks. Now I don't think I can even run a block so it's a little bittersweet... But alas, Fleet Feet has stayed consistently awesome all these decades later. Today we stopped by to inquire about new work shoes for my husband. He's been experiencing some foot discomfort so we thought maybe he needed new insoles and now maybe new shoes. Thought we'd also have him reevaluated for fit, to make sure his shoes were a good fit for his feet. When we walked in on Sunday early afternoon, we were greeted by around 6 employees and an empty store. Wow...Fleet Feet definitely wants to make sure they have enough employees for their customers' needs, which I respect. Brooke greeted us with a friendly smile and then made a big wave across the store and said, "You have the whole store to yourselves today!" :) For the next 15-20 minutes or so, we got to try on several pairs of running shoes, including ones by Brooks, Hoka, On Cloud and Altra. For each pair, Brooke would patiently take the shoe out of the box, loosen the shoelaces, place them on my husband's feet and then tie the shoelaces. I admired her patience. :) Brooke was so upbeat and knowledgeable about feet differences and knew the different features of the shoes. After stacking several boxes all around us, we had a couple pairs that we really liked, but they weren't available in the color we wanted. Brooke cheerfully said that she could help us order them or we could order them on our own online. We also learned that they don't earn commissions for sales, so I was even more amazed at how she remained so friendly and cheerful throughout the entire interaction. (I think I might have grumbled about taking all these boxes out, having to fix the shoelaces and put all the shoes back in boxes, then have to take them to the back of the store and reorganize them, hehe). We were totally impressed by Brooke and the professionalism she exhibited for Fleet Feet. They are definitely lucky to have an employee like her! If you've never been to a running store and had your feet/gait evaluated so you can find out if you overpronate, underpronate or have flat feet, you definitely need to stop by Fleet Feet to get a proper shoe fitting, especially if you're doing a lot of walking or running. (My Ironman coworker had instructed me to go to Fleet Feet and Running Warehouse/Zone back when I first started training for races and I'm so glad she pointed me in that direction!) I've been here many times, but this is the first time that I am writing a review. I've always had a great experience at this location and have bought several pairs of shoes in the past. Once I entered the store, I noted that there were no customers but at least 5 employees. Brooke immediately greeted us and asked what I was looking for. She used the foot scanner, I really don't know what the name for this machine was, to determine what kind of foot pronation I had. After this was done and she showed me what my results were on the iPad, she then performed a walking gait analysis on how I walk. From here, she had enough information to determine which shoes would best suit my needs. I tried on shoes from Altra, Brooks, Hokas, and On Cloud. She explained the benefits of each shoe and answered all of my questions. I really wanted to buy a pair of the On Clouds, but they didn't have the right size in the color that I wanted. She said that I could purchase them online at their website. She spent a good 30 minutes with me while I was trying on the shoes. I asked her how could she get commission or credit on the shoe sale if I didn't buy from her and she said to not worry as they are not paid on commission. I was really impressed with Brooke's customer service and professionalism. I really wanted to buy a pair of shoes from her. I have to say that Brooke is definitely an asset to this store. I love that Fleet Feet does this because I would end up forgetting and lose my reward points. I went with a goal of learning a bit more about what type of shoe is best for my feet due to recent arch pain when doing my daily walk. Kirsten helped me immediately upon entering and was amazing the entire time! We use the foot scanner and she pulled a few pairs of shoes and insoles that best fit my feet. She was patient, helping me understand the differences in the shoes and even helping me to narrow down which one I liked best when I had a hard time determining on my own. She also helped me compare insoles. I never felt rushed despite the store being busy, and there's no pushy sales techniques happening here. I ended up picking a shoe but they didn't have any colors I wanted (I ordered online after) she even looked at the closest sister store to see their inventory for me. She did mention they don't get commission otherwise I'd have gotten the very blue ones I tried on . There are no words to describe the incredible experience that I had at this store. It was suggested to me by my wife that I visit fleet feet for some new running shoes and insoles, and i am absolutely thrilled that i did! I was helped by a gentelman named Logan, and from start to finish he was an incredible individual. At no point in my excessive amount of questions did I get a sigh, an eye roll or any sort of sense of impatience. Recently went there for my birthday because I wanted to get myself a nice brooks shoes. My old one has been so great and I needed a new one. Someone started helping me and it was nice, the guy that helped me started very nice and upbeat and halfway through he just got short and very rude. It's been about 9 days and I am still confused as to why he was getting rude and short towards the end. I did find one shoe I really like. It took awhile for me to find one but I was very specific as to what I wanted from the very beginning. If someone could contact me why that happened it would be nice because it is still bothering me. The folks at the Roseville store aren't as friendly but the Folsom store they are very nice and friendly and attentive in the Sacramento store is good too. The Roseville store is harder to get help on a busier day but at Sacramento they have a sign-up sheet and even folsom does a better job. Update: I wanted to comment on one more thing, I love the long runway at the Folsom store and the Sacramento store they have a really long runway to test out your shoes on whereas at the Roseville store they don't exactly have a runway so you have to run around the displays in a circular fashion. read more

Rinky dink. Don't bother. Went to Roadrunner in Southern California and they fitted me for insoles. Scanned my feet and had me run on treadmill to measure how I move and spent food amount of time advising me on shoe and insoles. Those custom insoles were a game changer! Needed to replace them so I drove from Tahoe to Roseville after calling and confirming they do this same thing. Someone recommended Reno Running Company but I decided to try Fleet Feet since it seemed their fitting process was more rebust. Wish I had gone to Reno. The young kid who helped me seemed very annoyed I had my kids or just annoyed at having to help me. I asked about custom insoles and he said don't bother as people don't like them. I couldn't tell if he just didn't want to do it or was being genuine. Was disappointed as my ones from Roadrunner were amazing and that was my entire point of driving there. He cut their generic insoles to my shoe I bought, but it looked like one of my small kids did it as they arent smooth around the edges. I asked several questions which he seemed to be confused by and every response was just "whatever you think." Was looking for professional input. I had all 4 kids with me so didn't have bandwidth to check the insoles closely to see they weren't cut well... but wasted hours of driving with 4 kids and money. The vibes did not seem friendly in that store. I will not go back to a Fleet Feet and I did not leave feeling confident I received good information. I am a very active athlete so I need to make sure my gear is on point. This place might work if you're walking around the mall. I went to get to get fitted and I got someone who was new and long story short she put in the wrong size. I trained so hard in the wrong shoe. I had a bad feeling but I was like ok they trained her and compared to my feet measuring 8.5 the 9.5 seemed legit ok. It was not ok. I chalked it up to just breaking in the shoes or not being used to the long distances. I also had gone back to the store to get fitted for running bras and no one could help me. There was some lady in there that literally just walks around and folds stuff but said she couldn't help me. So after 2 half marathons and a 10k I a said screw this and went to fleet feet in Sacramento and they helped me and were knowledgeable and actually knew what the hell they were doing. Not only was the roseville store lacking in customer service but had no business putting people on the floor without any knowledge whatsoever. read more

This review is a general review of fleet feet-not for this specific store. I have been a customer for 12+ years. I do not go to fleet feet for a "deal". I go for a shoe fitting and expertise. The last 3-4 times I have visited (most recently today and a month ago) they have not had my size at either store. Because I walk in with my old Tennis shoes, the reps show no interest in looking at the wear pattern and they automatically assume I want the same shoe. There has been no fitting and very little customer service. They just direct me to their website and say that they would order them but special order takes two weeks. I have been suffering in my shoes for a few weeks, lumping, all bad things and my Dr recommended TOPO shoes which are sold at Fleet Feet. Fleet Feet continues to be the best place to purchase tennis shoes in Northern California. This was my first time since COVID-19 to purchase tennis shoes. My current tennis shoes were quite worn and needed to be replaced. Lacy assessed my feet using Fleet Feet measurement methods, which were able to locate my pressure points and see how narrow my feet in their current position. With Lacy's findings and careful observations of how I walked Lacy selected a few tennis shoes to fit my daily needs as well as style. Wearing a 9.5 narrow tends to limit my options especially the stylish options however at Fleet Feet their tends to be above average options. Orginally set out to purchase a black pair of tennis however ended up ordering a navy and a black pair. With my visits to Fleet Feet be open to your options in the areas of style and comfort because when you find your style with comfort be ready to spend. As I have been taught you either pay now of later with your health. Having excellent well fitted shoes that offer excellent support save your back, knees and feet in the long run. My mom told me I had to go here, I was skeptical because I'm not a runner.. I'm a bit over weight and I honestly thought they wouldn't take me seriously coming into a running shoe store, it seemed like that's all they targeted by the website/ store. Boy was I wrong. I came into the store 30 minutes before closing. I was greeted by Rachel. I came in looking tired, run down from the day with old baggy clothes! She never made me feel like she didn't value me as a customer for this reason. If you shop in the Granite Bay area you know what u mean.. a lot of stores won't even look at you if you don't look like you have money. Wasn't the case here!! Rachel had me in and out in 28 minutes ! I have been having back, knee and feet pain for weeks. I'm not a runner at all. She never made me feel rushed, was super patient, told me what works for me and what doesn't, I wanted a pair of shoes & she basically said no lol which I really appreciated. She wasn't trying to sell me. She told me the type of shoe that best fit my issues. She was right . I almost teared up once I put the shoes with the insoles on. After being in pain for so long it was like taking a big breath. I got the house shoes for 70$.. again not the cutest shoes but I don't think I can go barefoot again lol worth every penny. Shoes are not the cutest by any means but they have the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn . I spent 300$ on house shoes, sneakers & insoles. Worth EVERY penny . Invest in yourself. Customer service is King! I came here today because I had seen online that they carried a brand of shoe I was interested. Mostly, I needed help getting an appropriate shoe for an event I am training for in September and I have multiple feet issues. The people here are very knowledgeable about the product they sell. I was asked to walk across the room and then stood on a device that measures my feet to get size and width etc. Armed with all this information, I was presented with 4 pairs of shoes to try on. The best part was he helped me put them on, checked on the fit once they were on, and we discussed pros and cons of each. I found the most comfortable pair of shoes that fit my feet like a glove.
