Can't say enough good things about this place. Went on a weekend to check out some badminton rackets. Everyone that works there are so friendly and nice. My friend that was shopping for a racket got to try swinging a bunch of different ones to get a feel for it. The lady helping us was very knowledgeable and was taking down all the rackets that fit what my friend was looking for. He eventually chose a yonex racket and was even able to get it strung right away. While we were waiting for the racket, we started looking at badminton shoes. They had quite a good selection for men, women and kids. I ended up purchasing a pair of yonex shoes which came with the cutest shoe bag. Well where do i start with this place, or is it more a palace? If you like or are interested in playing badminton and you are in the area, this is it, the best place for all things badminton. I have come to this place about 4 times and never leave empty handed. There is always something that will catch your eye, be it something small and trivial or actually something that you need, this is the place to get it. They carry brands from everywhere, from the ubiquitous Yonex and Victor to more unknown brands like Li Ning, Mizuno, Hundrd, and JNice. You need a new racket, bag, shoes, shorts, shirts, socks, grips, strings, shuttles, and what have you, they will have it. The best part is that they carry things that are exclusively from Japan. Prices are competitive and reasonable, selection is amazing. And the friendliness and knowledge that the works have is top notch. Need help with anything badminton and they can point you in the right direction. They of course also provide stringing service for you rackets. I believe you can even get them done in one day if you go there early enough. And they are so into badminton that they are an official Yonex distributor, so that means from rackets to clothing, and even to stringing machines, they have it. I mean, they have stringing machines, who else sells them? Of course you will have to pay a pretty penny to get them, as they are the bonafide real deal that professional shops have, that sell for $5000 and up. If you are looking for the largest Badminton Gear shop in north America look no further! If you can't find it here it probably doesn't exist lol. This is literally a warehouse with showroom open to the public. They do have a website and large social media following if you want to browse. They are located in an industrial complex with a tiny parking lot but alot of street parking available. The showroom is in the very back of the warehouse. The front desk lady will tell you or follow the arrow sign along the hallway to the very back! This place has literally every model from Yonex, Victor, Li-Ning on market. Just see the entire wall of rackets behind the counter with the thousands of rackets available! They also have all the latest shoes, accessories and clothes shopping for gear. Note they do have "member" prices here vs retail. But good thing is the membership is free so yay! it's probably more marketing scheme but yeah note every pricetag has 2 prices! The online price pretty much matches the member price. This place may not be the cheapest place in the area but definitely has the largest inventory available. Online orders also usually come with free gifts so preorder online for instore pickup! They do have a small clearance sale section too for those looking for bargains on older models, returns, imperfect gear. They do also offer stringing service within 30 minutes if you want to wait! This is available for new or restring services, as long as they aren't super busy with other orders. For the dad's looking for fishing gear the warehouse is also a huge supplier of fishing related gear too! Writing from the perspective of a beginner! I was in dire need of badminton gear and as a beginner I had no idea on what to look out for. Joy has everything you need and the prices are quite good. Though, do not expect Big5 prices! I tried to do some research on my own so I could shop online but I got really lost. So I was hoping someone could help me in person and I have to say that Joy knocked this one out of the park. The customer service here is really good and they explain everything to you while being considerate of your needs. I really have to thank Paul for helping me out and not being sales-y and for being so patient with my questions! I pretty much got the cheapest shoes that I could get as they were an older model (Yonex Power Cushion Z Ladies for ~$70 with member price). To be honest, I only wanted to get shoes but I was happy with the service and the price seemed very reasonable, so I decided to get a racquet here as well (Yonex Nanoray Ace for about $67). I honestly didn't know any of the technicalities of a racquet so it was nice that Paul briefly explained weight and string tension. In general, they have two prices: regular and member. I have to say being a member is super easy (no extra charge) and the prices are much cheaper!! They also accept Apple Pay so that's very convenient. Anyhow, I do see myself coming back again if I end up being serious later in this sport. They have a variety of other gear (bags, shirts, and misc), place is very clean on the inside, and everyone wears masks. (They have a cute automatic hand sanitizer too.) The staff all around are nice and it's so refreshing to see such great service. Even the guy at the actual warehouse was nice to me when I entered from the parking lot. I'm so touched! I was scouring the web for a reliable badminton shop nearby, and after researching each and every nuance between Yonex and Victor rackets for days, I decided on the Nanoflare Nextage along with a massive order of attire and accessories from Joy Badminton due to the great pricing and availability. I called the next morning to see if they had an ETA for pickup and showed up an hour earlier to explore the store (spoilers: they were still so accommodating!) I ran into some badminton students who wanted to get a very specific (but out of stock) racket but realized they actually preferred another option that superstar Eunice let them try out. The staff know their stuff and definitely take care of you like everyone else has been saying. [THE STORE] I was surprised by how small the parking lot was. It gave me the vibe that this was a pretty small family operation. Their parking lot was right next to their shipping area, which was cool to see all the new equipment coming in (but possibly a security concern for thieves?) It was a little confusing at first since their "back of house" was effectively the main entrance for customers who wanted to visit the main retail floor (think Costco but smaller). Once you find your way through their brief maze walking past the manager offices to the main showroom floor, you'll stumble into nearly a hundred or so different unstrung rackets line the walls, oodles of badminton gear, and staff busy preparing custom rackets. Frankly, it made me feel like an idiot digging through YouTube reviews when I could have just showed up earlier and asked them to try each and every racket. Their showroom floor is also extremely organized and super easy to browse (and really scratched my OCD itch). My only recommendation is to maybe invest in some fans or air conditioning as you wouldn't be able to comfortably shop in-store for more than an hour without feeling clammy, which I suppose also speaks to how resilient and tough the staff are working there day-in and day-out. [THE STAFF] This is the section where I get to gush about Eunice. She was such a sweetheart, and this goes for ALL of the staff at the store. She approached me as soon as I entered the store despite obviously being busy, asked for my online order number and name, and set the proper expectations about an hour wait (since I came an hour earlier than quoted over the phone, this was expected.) The gentleman she referred me to, who was applying my racket's grip tape, was extremely personable despite his limited English speaking ability. He gave me great pointers about racket maintenance, and I deeply regret not getting his name (or understanding Korean), but it seems like he may be the manager with how passionate he was about my equipment. Eunice reminded me to try out my new shoes before I go, and I quickly found out that I was size 11 instead of my typical 11.5 in badminton shoes. She made the change quickly, and retrieved the correct pair for me to try and once again saved me a lot of headache and showed how valuable she was.
