Definitely recommend this place! Never met more friendly and helpful staff. Everyone was extremely patient with us and answered all our questions. They even offered so much advice knowing we were just getting started with this hobby. Nico gave us about 2 hours of undivided attention in helping us find the equipment and really took the time to make sure everything was perfect for us including the comfort, design, and value of the equipment. My boyfriend and I both left the store with our own new pair of fitted boots, fully set up skis, poles, helmets, and a bunch of helpful tips. We could definitely tell that he loves what he does and puts a lot of care into his work. Apparently he's experienced in both skiing and snowboarding, so it truly felt like he knew what he was talking about. We'll definitely come back in the future for some more equipment and apparel if we're ever looking for more snow gear. read more

The workers are pretty busy but I did see them working and helping different customers. I like their vibes. My husband searched for skis ahead of time for me and there were top 3 options. It happened that this shop has all 3 of them. and I picked the one that matched my ski jackets, pants, gagooles, and helmet. Tip: Don't forget to bring your ski boots if you know you will purchase skis so that they can install the bindings on the new skis. Bring your skis if you are planning to buy a new boots. Evan was really knowledgeable about skis, skiing, ski bindings, ski boots, and even the way my foot looks in relation to ski boots. He's installed this stuff for 20 years. He can go on for days so feel free to talk to him before purchasing gear. He installed my Squire bindings onto brand new Rossignol skis and did an amazing job. They'll keep one ski boot for sizing. On the floor, the girls are really helpful with finding things like specific pant styles or gloves. Overall I find the crew to be cool people who are helpful and friendly. They're definitely chit chatty, but it's a ski and snowboard shop! Just be a nice person and they'll return the favor. No returns just store credit on the clothes. Dressing rooms available. This was a very mixed experience. I needed to get bindings put onto my skis and they acted like they didn't want the business and it was a pain that I was asking for said service. I also needed to buy ski boots which seemed like an even bigger pain. I went to get fitted for ski boots and the person that helped me was so nice and really knew what they were talking about. He showed me a couple of options for boots and was very knowledgeable about fit and feel. I am a relatively new skier so it was great that he was so helpful. He was great and such a different vibe from what was happening downstairs. The boots were much cheaper than other boots I had looked at in other stores but dealing with the attitude downstairs gave me a lot of anxiety for just entering a business. read more

This place is incredible! A little secret nestled in the foothills, this place has all the essentials for a winter sports outing. We came here in a pinch for the kids, and ended up buying ourselves some gloves. Don't come here looking for name brands, it'll be a little harder to find. But if you need something that costs a little less and is good quality this is the place. When we went it was busy so we actually didn't get too much help from the folks inside - they were helping other customers. employees don't greet or ask questions unless you ask them first or make eye contact; they're busy watching tv all the time. terrible service. any questions or comments were met w dismissible direction aka instead of helping me find something of value they continued to watch tv and pointed to direction until i asked specified questions. they don't have much unless you're a woman or a small dude (under 150lbs). for what they have you'd have a better value going on offer up or marketplace. not worth the trip! also their sizing is limited. they get shipments once a year. you would think you'd find better deals end of season. they have OK deals if you can find you size. waste of time going here. read more

I have been snowboarding for almost a decade. I've rented because I couldn't commit but since I moved to California, I decided to spoil myself and invest in a board, boots, and bindings. I was pretty overwhelmed. I didn't know where to start. A really kind guy asked me if I needed help- saying yes was the best decision I made all week! Evan is amazing. He knows SO much about all the products in the store, he asked questions instead of being transactional, he took the time to not only tell me what would work well but also gave me tips on how to take care of my new equipment. He was incredibly patient while I asked all the questions - he knew everything !!!! I was so impressed. I'll be telling my friends and people I meet on the slopes at big bear and mammoth to check this store out and ask specifically for Evan. You don't find customer service like this anymore but really grateful I happened to stop by the store while he was around. I ended up paying more than I initially thought I was but mostly because I realized I was looking at garbage quality- relative to other stores, it's a win/ win situation. I think this store is nice because there was a large variety in snow clothes, but when we went yesterday to look for some gear they were mostly cleared out. There wasn't too much variety in bindings and snow boots, granted maybe we came a little late in the season so they were all cleared out, but it was a bit of a let down since we drove pretty far to come here. Also I was under the impression that outlet stores are typically cheaper than regular retailers but most of them items were the same as what they regularly retail for (some were more expensive?) Anyways I think this would be a good place if you were in the area and maybe went a little before snow season so there might be more things available/ in stock. We Went there to buy full new snowgear. I have not hit the mountain in 10 years so I wasn't very familiar with how things have changed. We asked for advice. I specified, I like free riding, occasional tree run and a couple tricks here and there. They sold me a park specific board. My wife, first time in the snow. They sold her a board too short that had 3 inches of foot over the edge. After talking to a few people and reading around we realize that the choices they made where pretty wrong. We called and told us "did you get the bindings mounted at the store? sorry, Final sale" They never mentioned that. I kind of remember they saying that if we had any problems to bring it back. I was looking for a new board and their prices are pretty solid. I got a board, binds, and boots for a total of 580. They do package prices and mine was originally 429 but I decided to get better boots than the included package ones which added an extra 100 dollars. I went in today to check out some snowboarding boots to get a feel for how different brands/models would fit me, especially since I wasn't sure what I should be looking for. Evan helped me out and patiently spent the time with me trying on 5 different pairs until we found the right fit. His knowledge was so helpful that I ended up asking about bindings and a snowboard as well. After a discussion on the kind of things I was looking for, I ended up walking out with a great setup of boots, bindings, and a snowboard that I'm super excited to use on the mountain for this season and many more to come. Evan even helped me install my bindings (note: once they install the bindings the items become final sale) The customer service at this store was absolutely amazing and transparent (esp on pricing) and I didn't feel at all pressured to buy more items. The store associates seem to be very passionate about snow sports and really do their best to make a good recommendation based on what you're looking for. Came in to get my snowboard waxed for the winter season. They charged me $25 for that service. I asked if they could switch my bindings from goofy to regular. They had the audacity to say they were gonna charge me $20 for unbolting 8 screws. I've gotten that done at Xtreme Boardshop in LA for free when I've had my board waxed. Kailey is obviously a money hungry weasel that has no problem stealing from her customers. Take the drive elsewhere. This isn't an outlet. Everything is expensive. The store was pretty busy right after a recent rainstorm! Even during Covid times, there were many customers buying all the snow gears and equipment. It was my first visit even though I live in the neighborhood the past 7 years! The name say "outlet", but the prices are between Big 5 and REI. They have a great selections and you can definitely find anything you need and more. I was gonna buy a pair of snow pants online, but decided to check out the store. They had so many choices, brands, color and prices. They do have 2 dressing rooms and I end up trying on about a dozen pants before finding the one! I also helped my friend to buy a couple of plastic sleds for her kids. They do have a small parking in the back, and the plaza next door have warning sign NOT for Ski and Snowboard Outlet parking. There's also a sign that says no refund but store credits only. read more

Amazing selection and decent prices. However, I asked a lady tonight " how does this sizing equate to regular sizes? Because it shows size 14 , 18, 20 for jackets." I think that's a pretty reasonable question to ask as it's not super common right? Her response is " so what's your question?" With the most attitude possible. " well my question is what's the equivalent to normals women's sizes. The reply I get " it's like pants, size 2 4 6" If I come to a store and I'm asking a question it's because I genuinely don't know the answer and I'm hoping the employee will be respectful and nice enough to want to help. Snow gear is expensive. Snow gear can be hard to find in the right size. Not many places carry snow gear let alone service it. Ski & Snowboard outlet has solutions for each of these problems. Since they are an outlet, the prices are a lot better than most places that carry similar items. They have a large selection in a variety of sizes and colors. They not only sell skis and snowboards, but also service them, which is extremely rare in the SGV. Yes, you can probably get snow gear for a little cheaper online, but who buys that stuff online? If you're like me and like to see things in person, or try them on before buying them, then this is a better option than online. The only reason I give them four stars instead of five is that they do not allow for any returns and only accept exchanges. read more

I brought my board in here to fill in some scratches on the bottom and get a tuneup and they did a great job. As far as I know they're the only place in SGV that has a boardshop that does waxings/tune-ups/etc. I highly recommend you getting your waxing or any repair work you need done here instead of on the mountain where you might have to wait a long time and you're also taking away from mountain time. The only downside is that they get a lot of business here so you have to drop off your board for about a week before picking it back up, so make sure you plan ahead. As to the retail, it's a pretty decent selection though the few times I've dropped in I've never found anything for myself. I feel like prices are on the high side for what is supposedly an outlet. For everything that I was looking at, prices were similar or higher than what you would find at most shops on the mountain. I guess that's the premium you pay for being able to shop at your convenience in the city. read more

Thank goodness I don't have to drive way out to Santa Ana or Costa Mesa just to grab or check out the new snowboarding gear.It looks rundown on the outside but the inside,a totally different story. As soon as I walked in I was overwhelmed.Wall to wall,ceiling to the back room and in every crevice there is gear everywhere.Compared to the other stores,this Is the Mecca for winter apparel.There is something for everyone,even for the beloved pets. Three sections dedicated to men,women and kids with the upstairs having all the snowboards and skis.And if your gear is busted up,they have an in house shop to refurbish and fix your busted up gear.They carry Descente,Scott and Killtec just to name a few brands and also boots and gloves.I mean the only thing they don't have are lift tickets to Mammoth,Big Bear or wherever you cut powder. The customer service is a hit or miss but one can't really notice it because ones to busy checking out all the cool gear the store has to offer.The parking is in the rear and tight,so drive slow or you will miss it.Thats all I got Yelpers,enjoy.Peace out read more

Great spot to get ski equipment, clothing and accessories for cheap. The first time I bought ski clothes I spent about $1k, so seeing skiing bibs for $200 was a shocker to me. There were lots of options in women's, men's and kids clothing. Lots of sizes available too. Parking lot available for customers and very easy to access. A week ago I went here to see what they had for boots as mine had recently worn out. I had already shopped here before and was quite happy with my snowboarding jacket. Upon arrival I saw a gentleman going through a snowboard boot fitting with a couple the needed a fitting for a trip. I was impressed by how he went over each detail. I thought to myself "I need that kind of fitting". Today I returned and was fitted by the same person, a ball of energy named Evan. I've know tailors that aren't this thorough. Amazing service that I can't say enough good things about. Can't wait to try out my new boots.
