I have been going here since they opened. They have always been my favorite Chinese restaurant. I was back in town and thought I would get dinner there. I have always ordered the Kung Pow Tofu. I was told last night they no longer offer that, even though they offer other Kung Pow entrees and other tofu entrees. I thought It was strange that they no longer offer that specific entree. I brought people who had never been there before to surprise them, but instead it was a big let-down. Unfortunately, I will not be going back. read more

Loved, loved, LOVED it!!!!!! We will be back again & again. We had the Pad Thai, the White Bear roll, fantastic cream cheese wontons as well a jalapeño crab cream cheese wontons. I highly recommend this place. read more

I always go for Joy Garden-- amazing Asian food that never disappoints. Personally, I'm a fan of the rice noodle dishes and the sushi. Also really love the dumplings here. Joy Garden is definitely my favorite place to eat & order take out from in town. I'm a huge lover of sushi & their sushi doesn't disappoint! Though some rolls are very pricey, they also have a lot of very well priced rolls - mostly your basics like spicy tuna, California, & veggie rolls. The food is good. The customer service is awful. Ordered a lot of food. Was told we would get a free wonton. They then called back and said "oh we won't give to you because you ordered a lunch special too" Lost a good customer. That's horrible customer service. Hope it was worth it. read more

Their sushi is great as is some of the other menu items that I have tried BUT my husband ordered their chicken chow mien and if you could find some meat it would have been a miracle. Trust me, this is no joke it was 99.9% celery. I could have bought a stalk of celery cheaper and threw some sauce in it and called it chow mien. read more

This place was so good! I've been to many sushi restaurants and was very surprised on how good the sushi was here! The staff was very friendly and very attentive. Small hole in the wall place setup with a few tables. More take out oriented in size. That said, the staff was great. They knew the menu and made recommendations. The chicken in the chicken with mixed veggies was a texture like a mushroom, as was the beef in the beef with broccoli, which I can't imagine how they got it that way. I had placed an ores and asked for the sushi to be slip up in separate boxes. I get home and one order was not in there, so I called and told them. First they accused me of lieing and said they would have to check the cameras to see if I was telling the truth. I then explained to them that I did not revive it and she told me " can you call back in 15 mins we are busy". I told her that I could not because I would like to figure out where my food is so that I could eat dinner with every one else. She went on to tell me that I asked for the order to be separated into two checks when I didn't say that, but I let it go and said that I would be into get it. I got there and was not served right away, they were ignoring me it was busy so I didn't say any thing. I got my food and checked it and said that I think j got he wrong rolls. The girl say very rudly that no that's what you ordered. I went on to apologize to the woman next to me because I was in her way of her getting her food and told her they had forgotten my food so I was double checking. I proceeded to walk out and the employee said to the woman how I was rude. I turned around and said excuse me ma'am but you were very rude to me. She told me she was instructed by the owner to say what she said. I couldn't take any more so I walked out. My family orders from here a lot and tips well. We will no longer be going there because of the terrible attitude they had. Sushi in Forest Lake? YES! Excellent food and fast service. The crab meat cream cheese wontons are out of this world! I also enjoy the sesame chicken, and their fried rice is delicious. Large portions at great prices! They recently remodeled and now have expanded seating. read more
