    Hot and Sour Soup

Order ahead & takeout to go. Pleasantly surprised with the delicious Shanghai Steamed Buns-still hot on the inside when we got home! The dipping sauce tasted like they made it there (also excellent-tangy). The House Fried Rice was a nice treat, flavored with all my favs: chicken, beef, pork, shrimp and egg. The Hot and Sour Soup was a little boring, so we added some vinegar and spice at home.

    Lowmein combo and egg roll

Wanted to try something new. Didn't work out for me. The place smelled good and looked very clean so I ordered Lowmein "the combo" and honey let me tell ya I prayed to the Lord Jesus himself when those plates were set on my table. I don't know what that green stuff is but I wasn't gonna risk it and went straight for a piece of chicken. The first bite was good but the next was super chewy. The low mein had me thinking I had dementia because I'm pretty sure those are some type of weird chips. I had to google pictures of low mein to confirm I wasn't losing my mind. The rice was old and I didn't even try to taste the egg roll because it looked like it was sitting on the table for two days. It sucks that the food isn't good here because the two workers seemed very nice. Should probably close the restaurant and think of a different career path or get a new chef.

    Pork egg foo yung

Put this one on the frequent list! Everything we ordered was excellent! Food ordered: Pork egg foo young. Huge chunks of the Bbq pork. The consistency of the patty reminded me of stuffing and egg. It was really good with a subtle gravy. Bbq pot soup. My little one loves noodles and loved the noodles and broth. I should have just ordered noodles and broth. He didn't like the pork or fresh bok choy, but I loved it. House fried rice and pork fried rice were great. Fluffy and not greasy. Egg rolls, meh. Would pass on those next time, but everything else, sign me up. Very friendly giuy taking out order. Will for sure be back to try out much more.

Pan fried noodles with shrimp 5/5 stars!

The restaurant is spacious and can easily accommodate larger groups of people. The food is from what I remember has been consistent and delicious, the only thing that's notable changed is the price, which can be on the pricier side nowadays unfortunately. This time around I took a small group of friends here and ordered some of my favorites. The peking style pork chop is a classic here, deep fried and moist with a sweet and sour sauce. The best part about this dish is that there's no bones either (unlike some of the other pork dishes). The beef chow fun is what I believe the best beef chow fun in MN. It's so freaking good I think you just have to try it for yourself. Another classic starter dish I got was the seafood tofu soup. Hot, thick seafood soup with tofu is refreshing to start with, and when you top it off with a dash of white pepper it gets even better. The fried oysters are a recent addition to my favorites; cripsy without too much fishiness/oceanic flavor, and also very meaty. The batter and salt/pepper onion flavoring is also very strong and pairs well with the oysters. And lastly I usually get some sort of vegetable. This time around I got the yu choi in garlic sauce, which was clean and just tender enough to add a nice bite of fresh veggie to our meal. I would also recommend the achoy or chinese brocolli if you're into that as well. They also give you a free dessert of what I think is taro tapicoa soup? Either way it's a nice sweet treat to end the meal on.

We grabbed seats at their tiny 4-seat bar, which turned out to be the perfect spot for the evening. The service was fantastic from start to finish with everyone on the staff attentive, warm, and friendly. We went all-in and ordered the Potsticker Feast ($95): two of every kind of potsticker they make, plus all four dipping sauces, Ribeye Noodles, Korean Wings, General Tso's Chicken, and House Cucumbers. The potstickers were awesome but given the name of the place I was surprised that the real standouts were the other dishes. The ribeye was perfectly marinated and tender, tossed with a variety of vegetables and stir-fried noodles. The wings were terrific and the General Tso's was perfect. Don't sleep on the cucumbers either...smoky, spicy, and sweet, with peanuts and sauce. My favorite potstickers were the Beef & Carrots and the Kimchi Pork. If you're looking for scratch-made Asian fusion with great hospitality, Potsticker is hard to beat.

The scallion pancakes were super crispy, the Szechuan dumplings had a LOT of garlic + chili oil (in the best way), and the Shanghai pork buns were juicy and full of flavor. The pork belly was braised perfectly with tasty bok choy, while the farm pork was a classic stir-fry with just the right amount of spice. Everything came with a generous amount of rice too! Definitely a spot I'd come back to with 4+ people so you can order a bunch of dishes, get quick service, and share everything family-style.

Extremely Disappointing -- Save Your Money…read more I honestly don't understand how Tea House gets rated as a top place. From the outside appearance and lack of upkeep to the service and, most importantly, the food, the entire experience was disappointing. The service was odd, the staff didn't seem very familiar with the menu, and there were several misses that made the experience even less enjoyable. The food itself was mediocre at best--and honestly, some of it was just bad. Then came the bill: over $75 plus tip for three people, with two lunch specials and three drinks. For what we received, the price was absolutely ridiculous. For me, this was a hard pass. The food wasn't worth the money, the service wasn't impressive, and the overall experience left a lot to be desired. Don't waste your time, and especially don't waste your money.
