    Pepper Chicken

Service was good , lunch special was a decent portion. Overall a good experience. I ordered the pepper chicken. Chicken was good not great. The rice was good not great. Lots of red peppers, onions, green peppers. Restaurant was clean and a good atmosphere.

Came in for dinner with friends who are local and love this place. The menu was extensive and I was scared a bit that it offered too much and therefore would be mediocre. Wrong!!! We had a huge feast: egg rolls, crab rangoons, 3 sushi rolls and each ordered an entree. Everything was fantastic and we shared it family style. Our food started arriving less than 10 minutes after we ordered. The service was attentive and pleasant. I only had two sad thoughts... 1) no soup is included when you buy an entree, 2) egg rolls are purchased individually. Both made it feel like I had to pay an upcharge for what is standard pretty much everywhere.

Highly disappointed. I've been wanting to try this Chinese restaurant for years and finally decided to do so tonight. I ordered the chow mein, not very familiar with Chinese food besides Panda Express (not "real" Chinese food, I know). Imagine my surprise when I sit down to eat my vegetable chow mein and realize there are in fact no noodles in the dish, just a set of bagged crispy noodles. I was disappointed so much so that I was going to call and complain but decided otherwise as the description on the website (in small letters) reads crispy noodles. I've never known a Chinese restaurant to not include soft noodles in there dishes but what do I know I've only ever been to two authentic Chinese restaurants. My boyfriend even tried it and thought it was so gross, he wanted to throw it away.

Meh. I came to visit my sister and she wanted to try this place out. The general Taos chicken was a lot of breading and no chicken, rice was very bland, egg roll... was an egg roll. Everything tasted like it was frozen or pre made a while ago. The dumplings were probably my favorite. My sister ordered the Buddha roll and said it was 8/10. I guess if you live here it might be the only option but I'd make a drive to the cities.

Great take out place. Sushi is fresh and their other menu items are quite good. Always have had fast service and the orders were correct.

I mostly go here just for the Joy Roll. It's almost like comfort food at this point. Their wantons are good, as is the rest of their food.

We were super excited to hear about this Thai restaurant when they first opened up last year. We…read morestopped in to try it during their first soft opening with high hopes. However, because they were still getting things ready and may have not been fully prepared for what to expect, sadly it didn't quite hit the mark for us. Fast forward a year later, we gave them another try. The decor had drastically changed. Let me break this down a bit. The restaurant was filled with mismatched decor and some side activities - jewelery sales, knick knacks of sorts, random grocery items, etc. It gave a vibe of too much clutter. The ambience was a mixture of country, sprinkled with some Asian flare, and a hint of class trying to break through. It felt like too much focused on side items versus focusing on the marvel and delight of showcasing real authentic Thai food cuisine. Which brings us to the food. This was also a mixture of East meets West cuisine - a wide variety of American and Asian options. We had tried appetizers and a few main dishes to get the full experience. We had the sampler appetizers - eggrolls (decent, a bit greasy), the cheese wontons ( good), and jalapeno wontons (different and very good). We had the drunken noodles - it was packed with good vegetables, good texture and consistency, but lacked the flavor I was expecting. It was bland and too simple. The other entree we had was the Beef Laab/Salad. The flavor was interesting - it had more of a fusion flare taste versus the authentic Thai Laab flavoring I was expecting. Also, laab should always be eaten with sticky rice and we were quite disappointed they did not have that as an option. Lastly, we had the Papaya Salad. This is a staple dish and tradition of Thai cuisine. It's tricky to perfect the right mixture of ingredients with the right amount of flavoring. There are also two ways to prepare it-the Laotian way or the Thai way. We asked for the Thai way. It was not as flavorful or spicy as we had expected...yet another dish quite bland. The overall presentation of the entrees were beautiful and it had wonderful ingredients, but it just lacked the flavor of true authentic Thai cuisine. The service was friendly. Our server was very nice and personable. He made the overall experience much nicer and more enjoyable. This place is worth a try as everyone has different opinions and taste buds. Try it for yourself and see what you think!

Drunken noodles were good. Wife and I were looking for a healthier alternative to fast food and…read moreLotus Thai across the street wasn't answering their phone so we tried here. Food is as good. Lots of veggies and we added chicken. Splitting an order was enough to satisfy our moderate appetite. Who knew Pine City has excellent Thai!
