However there were a few regular height tables suitable for my wheelchair bound family members. I chose a beef pho. My mother chose the vegetarian pho and salad rolls and my spouse chose potstickers calamari. All were unanimously declared excellent. Portion size is suitable for an extra meal and the prices were very reasonable. Service was attentive and friendly. I will return.

Since the pandemic, we order in more often. I was tired of cooking so I asked if she'd like to try the new Costa Rican place in town. We were there around 30 minutes before closing, prepared to do the polite thing and take our meal back home but we were urged by the owner to sit and enjoy ourselves. We ordered the ceviche because we are aficionados of the citrus-cooked fish and since this was actually going to be fish and not shrimp, we were excited to try. They do not poach the fish in advance (which speaks to the confidence they have in their method and ingredients) preferring to let the citrus "broth" do the trick. The result is amazingly tender fish in a oniony, herbaceous, lime juice cocktail. Since they don't pre-cook the fish, they don't have to make it seem like they've marinated it a long time, so the citrus is more subtle that most of us are used to. It was wonderful, served with chips and the three salsas mentioned in other reviews. I stuck to what appeared to be a habanero salsa, but there was a rich green salsa and a bright red one also. A little dab of habanero on top of a spoonful of fish and onion and tomato, poised atop a chip, is a wonderful thing to shovel, one after another, into your mouth! My lovely spouse had the Chifrijo, a bowl of white rice, beans, cubed pork, a generous knob of avocado, pico de gallo, and chips. Every element was wonderful, though we may ask if we can sub in tortillas for the chips next time, as a personal preference. Since this place is the reincarnation of the rotisserie chicken place that was once across the street, I knew that the chick would be delicious, and it was! Jorge (the owner), retrieved a chicken and went at it with the shears and brought a beautifully prepared, flavorful, thigh and leg because we asked for dark meat. With tortillas, its another assembly project. Escabeche, chicken, a dab of salsa in a warm tortilla? Outstanding! The beans were clearly in a big sack-o-beans in the very recent past, and cooked on site. The broccoli beef was borderline cold and/or luke warm and not much flavor. The fried rice was almost inedible, too much soyo, too salty! The orange chicken was crunchy, sweet, and hardly mouth-watering with lots of breading. I tried a piece of my wife's BQQ pork, horrendous. Ice cold, tough, and drier than the Sahara desert. My wife seemed to enjoy the rest of her meal. I felt for the cook. She honestly tried to accommodate as best she could with what she had...I think, but who knows. With the saturated amounts of Chinese places to eat in these parts, I think trying some of the others places may be in order and make this nearby place a distant memory.
