Salmon Benedict
Richard B.

We went for breakfast today and were very impressed with the quality of the food. Less so the cleanliness of the restrooms, so maybe that's something they should work on. But the corned beef hash was exceptional and made with big chunks of corned beef, and the Salmon Benedict was fresh and delicious (see photos).

Best breakfast ever!! They allowed me to order 1/2 portion of King of Avocado Toast and it was a perfect size!! I ate all but the toast (just to avoid extra carbs) and every bite was delicious! Poached egg was perfect and the combination of ingredients was fantastic. This is a family owned restaurant and the owner & chef came out to greet us as we were leaving. The entire menu is amazing and made us wish we'd eaten here sooner during our stay at the Worldmark. My husband said the coffee was really good and he's extremely picky! They're open for breakfast and lunch currently, but hope to serve dinners in the near future. They actually offered us the senior citizen discount without us having to ask (we usually forget to ask)...that was really nice. They also allow adults to order from the kids' menu if desired. Nice touch. Love the decor and cleanliness of the restaurant.

Had an early morning breakfast here before we drove back home to Sonoma County because I just had to try it based on others yelp reviews. Service was friendly and prompt and the coffee was tasty. Cute decor and clean bathrooms too. My friend really enjoyed his eggs with a thick ham steak, and he subbed a pancake for the potatoes. I snuck a couple of bites of the ham and it was really good. I ended up ordering the fried chicken and waffle sandwich because it also came with 2 fried eggs and bacon. That was a no brainer decision! The waffle was so good with the cheese and serrano peppers in the batter. All in all a tasty breakfast sandwich, and it was so big that I had leftovers for the drive home. Definitely going there again the next time we visit our friend in Klamath Falls.

This place is super convenient just off the main highway. It's close to the hospital and OIT. The bathrooms are clean and parking is easy. I really love the fruit bowls and I usually upgrade to get peanut butter and chocolate chips on top. The pastries are always excellent, but they tend to sell out very quickly so plan on getting there early if you want to try one. They do have a few taps and some wine that they serve if you're up for that type of experience. Overall, a very nice stop in a small town and its cozy atmosphere makes it one not to miss. We stumbled upon it thanks to Yelp (thank you, reviewers!), and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with board games available if you feel like taking a break and staying a while. It's the kind of place that instantly makes you feel welcome. We ordered a couple of sandwiches and were blown away by how fresh everything was. The bread was soft and flavorful, the meat perfectly seasoned, and I loved that they used buttery lettuce instead of the usual sad iceberg--such a small touch, but it made the sandwich feel that much more thoughtful and healthy. Highly recommend stopping here if you're passing through. Whether you're in the mood for a great coffee, a filling bite, or just a relaxing break, this place checks all the boxes. Grateful we found it!

Up until recently, the food had been consistently superb, which is why my last two visits were disappointing. I previously ordered the beet salad and absolutely loved it. However, during my visit two weeks ago, it was completely different from what's shown on their website and Yelp menu. Instead of being served on a plate with arugula, it came in a bowl with kale. The kale was extremely tough and difficult to chew, and there were very few beets in the salad -- I actually had to search for them. Overall, it felt like a completely different dish from the one I had enjoyed before. Last night, I ordered the seared scallops with corn risotto. I was told they were out of corn and would substitute asparagus, which I agreed to. The corn risotto I've had there before was excellent, with plenty of corn and great flavor. This version, however, looked like half an asparagus spear had been blended into the risotto, so there really wasn't any noticeable asparagus flavor at all. What also stood out was the portion size compared to previous visits. Last year, I remember paying around $26-$28 for this dish and receiving four nice-sized scallops along with a generous serving of real corn risotto. This time, the dish cost $36 and came with five very small scallops -- about quarter-sized. The flavor was still very good, as it always has been, but the increased price combined with noticeably smaller portions left me feeling unsatisfied. The bright spot is the service. The waitresses there are always excellent, friendly, and attentive, which definitely helps the overall experience. Will I return? I'm honestly undecided at this point. It's hard to justify paying $36 and still leaving hungry. In fact, afterward I walked down to the Pikey and grabbed a hamburger -- and that review will be a much happier one. Yum!

This place truly exceeded our expectations. I love that the restaurant store front is opened wide, it makes it easy to approach and order at the counter. They have a very large variety of alcoholic drink options and some very tasty non alcoholic options as well. Even though we sat outside about 5 tables down, they still came by to deliver our food to us instead of having us waiting inside. The food was amazing. Meat was juicy, bread was perfect, both the sides of fries and house made chips were delicious. The ranch tasted like it was house made as well but I forgot to ask them. My cider was great and my partner got a strawberry slushy- both did not disappoint. The overall theme inside is adorable! It's got a lot of wooden pieces and a camping trailer inside really ties the theme together nicely. There is plenty of tables and shade outside and lots of indoor seating as well. Bathrooms are super clean and clearly well maintained by the folded toilet paper roll. The only thing I will say is if you're going to sit outside expect outside things to happen. There was a lot of flying debris from around the creek due to someone down the way doing outdoor maintenance. Despite this, my partner and I thought it was worth it to hear the running water and be in such a beautiful area for lunch. I would scream my recommendation from the roof top if I could. Thank you for a great meal!

First, Ashland is a great LOCATION to grab a bite before braving the mountain passes on either side. Within the town the Skout building is LOCATED at the edge of the creek and beautiful Lithia park, and finally the Skout LOCATION itself is a building comfortably decorated with a camping themed ambiance. We ordered the Ultra Meltathon (grilled cheese), a Brisket sandwich, and truffle fries. The Skout version of a grilled cheese, augmented with bacon and jam, was the standout for us. The thin cut and crispy truffle fries were also very good and were gobbled up quickly. On the other hand the brisket was a bit dry but serviceable today rather than a standout. Maybe add some bbq sauce to elevate it a bit? I loved the curated craft beers on tap so check these out if so inclined. See the pics for a glimpse of the roll-up door window that opens to the park, the inside tables and camper, and of course the food. Probably a 4.5 but rounded to 5 stars because of ... location, location, location!

We didn't know what all the wing types were and she explained them and the spice level. Helped us get the wings and pizza ordered. We grabbed a beer from the bar before we went to sit on the patio because it's a beautiful day outside. We were the only ones out here and it was peaceful. The wings came out and they were delicious and the ranch that came with it was big. The were crispy, perfectly cooked and mild like it said. The pizza then came out, we got the mama Mia pizza (#9). The bottom has a little crunch, the toppings look/tasted fresh and we were happily full. When the pizza came out the waitress asked us if we wanted ranch and she brought out a whole squirt bottle of it on ice and it was very good ranch. (I like a decent amount of ranch on my pizza especially the crust). 10/10 recommend and when we're back in town, we will definitely be back! So much space for lots of people. Looks like there is entertainment weekend nights and has a very relaxed and nice vibe about it. Look at the picture for the pizza and view in the patio.
