I really think that this restaurant has the run on the whole town. I think this is the only restaurant in this town. Anyway, the restaurant was very nice, and the food servers were very kind too. This restaurant was very accommodating for children and for dogs very friendly. The views are amazing. We all enjoyed their menu very much. The only thing I wish that they had Was a little bit more on the menu. My husband is wanting Italian food, pasta, spaghetti. Otherwise, we enjoyed this place very much and we enjoyed the bartender too. Thank you very much.

Eggs Benedict for breakfast was delicious, I don't like country potatoes so didn't eat them, there was really another option for potatoes but the eggs Benedict was plenty & good. We had late lunch & drinks on the veranda, beautiful view & service, my salad was perfect, I got the small size & was plenty big enough, my friend got burger & was very pleased with it! A lovely spot for lunch or drinks, all staff friendly & chatty, would thoroughly recommend

HH daily 3p-4p. Our room wasn't ready yet so we went to sit at the bar. Unbeknownst to us it was HH. Hubby and I each had a draft beer pint size. When ready to pay our tab we were told $10. Wow, weren't we surprised. You save $1 off each beer. Can't beat that. Of our five nights stay, we dropped in four times. The bartenders/servers are very attentive and personable. One day we ordered HH fries. Many different dipping sauces to choose from. I went with ranch. The fries are seasoned. Our last day we did HH food. Hubby & I shared the cheeseburger served on a pretzel bun. Got a side of tots with it. The burger patty itself was warm but overall the burger lukewarm because the bun isn't toasted. And it's already dressed for you with lettuce tomato and onion which are cold. Also ordered the California flatbread at the suggestion of the server. That was excellent. Topped with grilled chicken, red bell peppers, and cubes of avocado and drizzled with a sauce. The restaurant is convenient if you don't want to drive into town which is a 7 mile drive from the resort. There's an outdoor dining patio with a great view of the Arnold Palmer signature Running Y golf course.

Our party of 8 sat on the back patio and had a gorgeous view. After 15 minutes, our order was taken, and after 30 more it arrived. The tomato soup was oily and tasteless. We sent it back. My patty melt had very little grilled onions, a small prefab patty on it and small marbled rye bread. Not impressive for the price. My husband enjoyed his fish tacos, though there was more iceberg lettuce than fish. People in our group enjoyed their burgers and chicken wraps but for the price and slow service, we wouldn't recommend.

One star for the beautiful view Service was terrible...server didn't want to take our order and forgot to fire our appetizer. That said - I wish she had not brought us the terrible "mango shrimp" at all...one of the worst pieces of food I've ever eaten...tasted like the shrimp were spoiled and covered in dirt (the "Creole" seasoning). Dinner entrees were cold and over cooked. Just do yourself a favor and drive into town.

Let's start with positive, outside seating has a beautiful view and dog friendly. I wouldn't say this is a destination place to seek out the cuisine but more of a necessity of the only place on the ranch. Our take-out experience was perfect when we arrived after a long day of traveling. Cassidy assisted me, and everything was hot and on point. Kudos for adding in chocolate cake for my sons birthday at no charge. We went to the patio everyday for lunch. Views were great and accommodating for our dog. Food was average but not dismal. Items were forgotten and finally showed up. Yes, much room for improvement but that is where management needs to step in and identify the problem. They could have an epic spot and opportunity for more revenue. I will be going back in a month and let's hope I can have an updated review.

Up until recently, the food had been consistently superb, which is why my last two visits were disappointing. I previously ordered the beet salad and absolutely loved it. However, during my visit two weeks ago, it was completely different from what's shown on their website and Yelp menu. Instead of being served on a plate with arugula, it came in a bowl with kale. The kale was extremely tough and difficult to chew, and there were very few beets in the salad -- I actually had to search for them. Overall, it felt like a completely different dish from the one I had enjoyed before. Last night, I ordered the seared scallops with corn risotto. I was told they were out of corn and would substitute asparagus, which I agreed to. The corn risotto I've had there before was excellent, with plenty of corn and great flavor. This version, however, looked like half an asparagus spear had been blended into the risotto, so there really wasn't any noticeable asparagus flavor at all. What also stood out was the portion size compared to previous visits. Last year, I remember paying around $26-$28 for this dish and receiving four nice-sized scallops along with a generous serving of real corn risotto. This time, the dish cost $36 and came with five very small scallops -- about quarter-sized. The flavor was still very good, as it always has been, but the increased price combined with noticeably smaller portions left me feeling unsatisfied. The bright spot is the service. The waitresses there are always excellent, friendly, and attentive, which definitely helps the overall experience. Will I return? I'm honestly undecided at this point. It's hard to justify paying $36 and still leaving hungry. In fact, afterward I walked down to the Pikey and grabbed a hamburger -- and that review will be a much happier one. Yum!

We showed up at 5 and were greeted by the same fabulous woman as last time. You just know that someone that kind and welcoming would not own a place she wasn't rightfully proud of. She sets the tone and all the employees carry it through the entire meal. We chose to try the patio tonight and it was cozy yet open, darker with a couple of fire lights around the room. Intimate. Some of the tables are separated by live plants in planter boxes. We loved it. We started with the beets (with shaved fennel pieces and a citrus vinaigrette with a tahini yogurt sauce on the bottom) and burrata (with grilled pieces of bread and sugar snap peas and capers) appetizers - both were delicious. Randy wanted to try another of their off menu drinks. We can't remember what this drink is called but it's not on the menu and has some Mai tai mix and orange bitters ... like a mock Mai tai spritzer. Delicious - Randy had two! I got the mushroom bolognese - so good. It's home made (!) bucatini pasta with a mushroom (cremini, oyster and shiitake) and san Marzano tomato sauce with burrata on top. I love mushrooms but Randy does not and he loved this dish. The mushrooms taste meaty. Randy ordered the Carbonara again and it was also delicious. We also got an order of garlic bread this time and wow. We each have half of our dinners left, lucky us. We shared the creme brûlée which came with a lavender short bread cookie. Perfect. Everything was perfect. The place was packed and all employees were calm and efficient and friendly. Can't wait to go back!

The service is good, we've been there with our family and with a large group, and they have always been very patient and friendly. Alchemy is in my top 3 favorite places for a dressy dinner when we are visiting Ashland. The only slightly negative thing I have to say is that we were there celebrating a birthday once and at the end of the meal our server brought out a candle on a small, flat ceramic dish. The birthday girl's comment was, "You just spent $300 on dinner and all they brought me for my birthday was a candle?" It seemed a little chintzy since most places will give you an actual dessert, not just a candle, but at least they brought a candle. Other than that tiny little thing, we still love to eat here and will be back when visiting in the future.

The latter changes seasonally--in our case it was a dashi broth with a variety of local mushrooms and vegetables. Both dishes were good, with my steak cooked perfectly and the mashed potatoes amazingly creamy without tasting too buttery; the dashi broth was delicious as well. We also split the steak tartare, the house bread, and the chips & dip (seasonal special) as appetizers. With the exception of the chips & dip, the appetizers were good but nothing outstanding. The chips & dip, however, were REALLY GOOD! I did not know you could elevate potato chips like that, but their house-made chips are delicious and I would highly recommend trying them. Both my fiancé and I were not a huge fan of the sauce (just a little too creamy, it's really smooth though so if you like creamy sauces you'll probably enjoy it!), but just eating the plain chips was amazing. They even brought us a second serving of chips for free since we hadn't used all of the dip! We also ordered a pear tart for dessert which I would also recommend getting! Delicious crust and good pear flavor.
