Plastic cups were filthy, apparently dishwasher boy isn't doing his job. Learn how to clean your cups, the men's bathroom was filthy with pee all over the floor it was wet and slimy. You need to get rid of those plastic cups toss them all out. The health inspector needs to get down there. My entire family got food poisoning. I had the massive runs of diarrhea after having the pizza you guys need Bar Rescue Jon Taffer to come in to rescue this place after new management apparently this place is going downhill like ghetto. I was planning on taking my girl here to do something big like engagement I might have to find a new place to do it now. You guys really need to get your shit together. Call Bar Rescue to save your business or somebody got to get that health inspector over there. A lot of changes need to happen soon. read more

First off, the wait was 2.5 hours long! Yes we waited 2.5 hours, why I don't know. We were a party of six and two children. It was busy but not that busy. They either refused to push two tables together, or didn't know they could at that time? They ended sitting us in two separate booths so we couldn't even sit together. As I sat there finally I watched them rearrange tables for a party that came in that may have been for 10 to 12 people maybe. Just saying chaos at the hostess stand, didn't look like they were in any hurry to help anyone waiting. Food may have been ok, but because of this experience I will never be back. read more

I haven't been here since my last review which was almost exactly a year ago and it was not a great experience that day. I figured I'd give it another try and it was disappointing again. You can't beat the ambience but I don't know what the deal is w/ the food. I ordered the special, chicken cordon bleu, but it was more like deconstructed chicken cordon bleu. It was what appeared to be a breast pounded flat to make 2 pieces. It was grilled, not breaded, and it was served flat with ham and swiss on top. This was not cool, they should call it deconstructed so you're not expecting that beautiful chicken rolled up, filled with ham and cheese, and then breaded and fried where all the flavors meld together. This was not good. My friend had a Reuben sandwich with fries and said it was fine. Still thinking that the mgmt/owner change last year was not for the better which is a bummer. So when we showed up there was a wait but this place is very cool, they had a live band playing music from the 90s and it seemed to be just a peaceful place to make new friends, grab a drink or just sit and relax by the river. The drinks were obviously the first to come out and I have to say that the Old Fashoined was a little strong but im no kitty so I enjoyed it, I have had a better Old Fashoined but this was okay, then our Pretzel Bites were really good, the beer cheese was amazing and cheesy, very delicious. After that came out my Burger, the Pretzel Burger was really good and fulfilling, I liked the crisp of the lettuce and onion, the meat itself was very delicious, I always order my burgers rare and this was nice, punk and juicy. The whole vibe of this place was nice and relaxing, its a great place to come eat, drink and enjoy some live music and if there isn't a band you can still enjoy the scenery of the water and it even has a boat dock for those who have boats and want to dock your boat and grab a bite and a drink. I walked in and the sign read 'Thank You, Come Again'. The two teens at the hostess stand were way more engrossed in their conversation, so I proceeded to the deck. The server approached and asked if the hostess seated me at this, one of several empty tables. I told her the above story and asked what lagers they have. She said they didn't sell lagers and went off to fetch me a Miller Lite, a lager. Next, a manager comes over and is clearly unhappy I seated myself. She indicated there wait (there absolutely was none), and invited me to go back and speak to the kids (whom I saw still engrossed in their conversation and ignoring everything else). I told her I'd just go home. That seemed to make her happy. I won't be back and am disappointed I came all this way to get such bad treatment. I'll be sure to let my friends know. read more

Absolutely recommend this very charming outdoor eatery. The view is terrific and there are options to eat indoors. The food was much much better than average and the service was excellent. Surprisingly it was not expensive. Try to get an outdoor table under an umbrella in the warm weather. read more

The portions are huge, the food is ok, the service was HORRIBLE!! When we walked in we were told there were 3 tables ahead of us... after the 6th party was seated I got up and said something. We were sat outside and the drinks came fast. We ordered our food and sat for over an hour. Watching tables that sat after us finish their meal and leave. The server (sarah) FINALLY brought our food, set it down... and it wasn't even ours, it was for the next table over. After another 15 minutes she came back and blamed the kitchen for "burning the fish" and told us they were remaking our food. One hour and 15-ish minutes later, our food finally arrived! As you can see from the pic, what I got was brown, old, slimy lettuce. Couldn't really do much about it since the server never checked on us after that. I've ordered from here a few times, when I can get them on the phone, but I believe theyre working on that. The first time I ordered the girl hung up after 10 minutes, we called back, and she was giggling to a coworker about how she hung up on me. She messed up our order. Gave it a second try, much nicer person answering the phones and our food was correct. Even though our food wasn't what we wanted the first time the food was still good. The wraps are good, the burgers are too. Fries are just regular fries. Nice to have something different in little Gibraltar. It's not back by the wildlife reserve, it's up by the humbug building. This is a great spot located directly on the Detroit River in Gibraltar. You may pull your boat up and grab a good bite to eat! The burgers are so good, the chicken fingers are hand battered and delicious, they have hand cut onion rings, yummy hush puppies, and the drinks are strong and cheap! What more could you ask for in an establishment? Oh yeah, they have a huge tiki area that will be poppin' once the restrictions are lifted! I can't get over the prices, so fair for this view! I am used to paying a hefty tab just to enjoy the million dollar views from JP Waterfront! It's totally hidden, you must go on an adventure to find it. Came in for dinner on Saturday evening around 5pm. Was expecting to wait a good little while tor a table hit was seated within 10 minutes. Staff was organized. It was super busy but they were on it. Nice waterfront views. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable and was quick with the refills. We started with the steak tips and the pretzel bites. Both were really good. To call them pretzel bites in an understatement. They're made of pretzel bread that's cut up and it comes with a rich fondue like beer cheeses delicious. The steak tips were smothered in a mushroom and pepper gravy that was really tasty but honestly, the steak tips were so tender , they didn't need a sauce. Definitely getting those again. My hubby ordered the TBone special and it was just ok , cooked right but it was still a little tough. I got the blacked walleye. Definitely would get that again. One nice piece of Cajun seasoned fish cooked just right. Over all a great experience! read more

Went with my wife on a drive. Navigation gave us bad direction but got us close enough. Hostess found us a table outside. Nice. The server was good. Took our order quickly. We both had fish. She had the fish sandwich which was quite good. As we're the hush puppies. I got fish n chips. The fries were good, but I found the beer battered breading was way too thick. So much breading. I will order a different coating next time. It did take a very long time to get our dinners though. At least 45 minutes. There was a lot of bees flying around but no big deal. The view was nice.
