They were there until 5 PM wanted to make sure everything was installed and worked properly. Clean, vacuumed and took out all the trash out. I could not even tell something was done in the HVAC room except for brand new units. Very pleased with their service and communication. Thank you, Nick, John, and Vui for such a wonderful job.

Showed up on time, job prep work outstanding, moved and/or covered all exposed furniture, carpet, etc.), filled new ceiling holes (plus a few other ceiling imperfections). Painted ceiling multiple times. Cleaned up thoroughly, moved furniture/other items back to original place, removed all paint materials (e.g., drop clothes, paint supplies, coverings, etc.). I hardly know where to start, with this business. First, they provided me with five convectors…read more(used for heating and cooling in our condo). One of the convectors was considerably noisier than the others. They refused to take responsibility for it ("we've sold hundreds and have never had a problem"; REALLY? NEVER ONE PROBLEM? WOW!). When no solution to the noise was offered, I sent an email to the manufacturer, who immediately provided us with several possible remedies for our installer to try. Next, we were advised that our check had not been honored. Not only did they tell us this, they told our condo management (intrusive, embarrassing, and untrue). This problem went on for several days. Finally, we determined that they had not even attempted to cash our check (which, needless to say, was entirely good). No, they were using some check verification service (Snap, or Slap, we're not certain). We told them, call our bank, our check is good. No, they told us, YOU call Snap/Slap, and resolve this problem. We declined. Now, if all the above is not enough headache for a business we gave $3000 worth of our business to, Aireco is now telling our condo chief engineer that, henceforth, they are not going to honor HIS checks, either. He has thrown tens of thousands of dollars of business their way, and now...this? This has been the WORST BUSINESS ENCOUNTER with any one at any time, in my 70 years on this planet. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. Thou are forewarned. UPDATE: They are no longer returning our phone calls. We have complained to the manufacturer (who in fact is responsive), however, how these guys stay in business, is one of the great mysteries of the universe. If their is a God in the Heavens, they'll be closing their doors sometime real soon.

I texted him around 10:00 p.m., fully expecting we'd have to wait until after the holiday because I knew he'd probably be busy. Instead, he fit us into his schedule first thing the next morning. He quickly diagnosed the problem as a failed capacitor, had the replacement part on hand, and had our AC running again in no time. I took it as a sign from above (someone is looking out for me) so I walked down to the house they were working on. I met Joe and his son Little Joe, they quoted me a reasonable price and said they could stop by after finishing the job they were working on. Before I knew it my sidewalk was clean and looking new. It took hardly no time to do the job (3 men doing the job) where I know it would have taken me half a day doing it myself. They did a very good job and the bonus was they didn't need to use my water or electrical outlets. I highly recommend them.

When he tried to explain his ideas to run the wiring for our new cooktop, neither my wife nor I could understand the ideaa he was trying to communicate -- though we did understand one thing: The price was subject to change after he began work. What's worse, when I received their proposal, they tried to charge me two unnecessary fees -- and insisted they were 100% necessary -- even though both DC's Department of Buildings and every other contractor I spoke with said these were 100% *un*necessary. Finally, even though both Ali and Diana promised to send me an itemized breakdown of their estimate, they changed their mind and refused to do so (after taking more than a week to send the estimate, thus breaking multiple deadlines they promised). To be sure, Diana gave me a rough breakdown over the phone, but when I asked her to include that in the written estimate, she said she'd need to check with Ali because she wasn't sure the numbers... were accurate. Needless to say, that never happened. And get this: When I said that I didn't want any patching or painting, they refused to change the price. I guess I'm supposed to pay for work that doesn't happen. I would not trust Capitol Design Build because they oppose transparency and because they promise one thing and do another.
