We had a great experience here! We shared an order of naked wings and had a drink. The $15 wings (not on Happy Hour menu) were very hot (temperature) which is perfect. And they were big and juicy. I asked for the habanero sauce on the side because my friend is not a fan of spicy. You other Yelpers were right, that sauce is amazing! JPs really could sell it by the bottle. It's spicy but a good level of spicy. Makes your mouth hot but you're not crying nor dying. I didn't need milk. Again it was a good heat! I know it's odd but I also secretly love the cut veggies on the side. Other restaurants really need to step it up and add veggies with their wings like JPs. And they weren't the limp celery that Buffalo Wild Wings gives you. Service was great and attentive. We will be back to try other favorites like the club sandwich. read more

Bi-monthly Auburn class of 72 luncheon somewhere in the south sound. Was here once before with this group and once again Super Venue, Super accommodating, Super service by Jennifer and Super satisfied with the food and beverages. Menu covers the gamut for pretty much anyone. I opted for the Wagyu chili and a side of Parmesan fries. The chili was over the top! Filled with tender Wagyu, just the right amount of seasonings - not too hot but not bland either. The fries were crispy and flavorful. Went here yesterday for their happy hour (mon-fri 3-6pm). I had their JPs IPA, the sticky ribs, and the clams. I love the IPA and the sticky ribs were fall off the bone. The clams were in a creamy sauce and it was a great to dip with the thin sliced bread in the dish. I will definitely be back. read more

Decided to give JP's another try. Food was better, the onion strings were mediocre at best. Fries were great. We were sat really quickly and didn't have to wait much, our waitress was really nice. Casual place, seats need to be cleaned in between guests. The bench was pretty greasy. read more

OK, we had a bad experience at this place a little over a month ago and we decided to give it another try a few days ago. Nothing seems to have changed with the service at all, which is sad because the food is, or was at least, actually pretty good. It seems like they are either short-staffed most of the time now, or whatever staff they do have just don't seem to pay attention to the customers at the table. It really is a shame because this place really did attract quite a few patrons. We are really hoping that they have some positive change going into 2026, but based on what we're seeing, it doesn't seem likely. read more

This place is a favorite local spot and I'm here for it. They get sooo busy especially during Happy Hour and into dinner time. They have great cocktails and beers on tap and pretty decent prices. The food has been pretty consistently great each time we come. It's comparable to Applebee's menu but better quality and you can taste more "home made". Our server was so friendly and since we were the only ones having an early lunch she was happy to chat. Both of us had a cup of clam chowder, which was very tasty but needed to be hotter, it was luke warm and half a sandwich. I had what was supposed to be grilled cheese but I didn't see much cheese. However it had tons of wonderful bacon and tomato so I didn't actually care. My friend had a half a BLT and asked for extra bacon which they gave her at no charge. First experience was takeout and was awful. Finally got through to the manager, who was absolutely fantastic in remedying the situation. Got a refund and also a gift card to use in the future. Used the gift card today and ate in the restaurant. We ordered the beyond burger w/ string onions and lunch combo half sandwich w/ salad. The food was good, though the half sandwich is half of a regular sized sandwich (i.e., small). Service was prompt and the music wasn't too loud. Will definitely eat there again. read more

I was looking for an American style restaurant to take my mom too when she came for a visit recently, so we thought we'd try JP's. As an avid Yelper of course I checked the reviews and it looked like a go. My only concern was acoustics, which is something my mom always brings up. The host was a nice guy and he asked if we wanted to sit in the bar, and we requested a quieter table and he was able to oblige. Our server was very nice and she made sure all of our needs were met. Mom ordered the fish and chips , which was a nice sized serving and she said was very good. I ordered the Wagyu cheeseburger, which hit the spot. Frequent this establishment regularly, but not going to be back for a while. I ordered 1 beer and a chicken sandwich that barely had any chicken on it. After receiving my food and eating it, with my glass almost empty, my server never came back to ask how everything was or if I wanted anything else. Another server walked by and dropped off my bill with a simple "here you go ". I never asked for my bill or was asked if I wanted anything else. When my server did return I explained that "it would be appropriate to ask customers how their food was and if they want anything else before having another server drop off bill out of nowhere. To which she replied "I'm asking you now".. lol It made me feel uncomfortable and like I was wrong for trying help her. I really like this place and hopefully this review will be some positive coaching for the staff. read more

Today was not their day. Been to JP's multiple times and decided to go again for dinner. Server not a server, she said. We had to ask for plates and utensils, ketchup for fries. Beer ordered 'to be served with dinner' but it came before appetizer. 1/2 of the burgers were either dry or overcooked. Blue cheese dressing and bacon on Wedge salad had no flavor. The romaine came as a full wedge and I had to slice off the large ends. My knife, wooden handled, was old and the handle moved up and down off the blade. At the end we gave our feedback. Our server didn't bother to come take our order for ten minutes after we got our drinks, we had to go find a server to take our order. Our appetizer came out with no plates, we had to get up and ask for those too. We also witnessed a cook using his phone with gloves on and then setting it down to proceed to cook. I've given this place three tries and every single time; the staff is rude and inattentive. This is not a friendly place that is welcoming to the public, as other reviews have stated. CARD INFORMATION STOLEN HERE: On May 24th we took family to JP's for lunch in between softball games. During this time my crossbody was left on the back of the chair while leaving, a male staff member took my bag in the back office instead of leaving it up front. I came back to JP's within 20-25 minutes and during this time all my card information in my wallet was stolen. Gift cards, personal debit card, company credit card... every single card in my wallet reported fraud and gift cards spent. No other person handled my cross body except their staff member. He also did not alert my server or any other server that he had found a bag. I love eating here with family but disappointed with how they have handled the situation. I went in twice to talk directly to the manager, left my name and number on both occasions and still have not been contacted. A police report has been filed with Kent Police department. The food is great but be careful with your cards at this establishment. read more

Whether you're here for a full meal or just the appetizers, you're guaranteed to find something you enjoy. Our go-to's are usually some type of burger which they always do great. We always start with the crab dip and boy is it flavorful. The bread is warm and soft and goes so well w the dip. Their sliders are awesome too. Juicy and filling. Their calamari is delicious. Crispy golden and always fresh tasting. Not too rubbery or overly cooked but just right. Splash of lemon? Yes please. Their salads are great, always fresh and colorful. My wife and I have made JP's our Friday happy hour spot. We've been several times and it's always been a great experience. All drinks are a dollar off and the HH food menu is 5 stars - the pub pretzel is a must, as well as the pork tacos ($9 for 3 large corn tortilla tacos). Service has always been great (we're there between the lunch and dinner rushes so it's a slower pace in the dining room). This is a neighborhood gem. Sits in a little strip mall but when you walk in it's big and friendly. The drinks were great. Jalapeño margarita and blood orange old fashioned were spot on. I had the pork chop with loaded mash, hubby had the popper burger. Both were outstanding. The chop was blush in color so juicy and tender. Potatoes were awesome as well. The burger was cooked perfectly and had awesome flavor. The tots were crispy outside moist inside. Trey was our waiter and he was fantastic. I dunno if there's much to improve here. The lack of attention to customers is pathetic. As soon as you walk in there's no acknowledgement to be seated. We and the couple that was there prior to us had to walk into the dining area to find a someone to seat us. Her excuse of being short staffed is a joke. Every server there failed to acknowledge the guests waiting. All of them went straight to the kitchen but never even made eye contact with any of the guests waiting. The service once seated was no better. She took our order and we got our food and drinks but never bother to check on us. we had to ask a different server for refills, got up to get our own napkins, and since our sever was so absent we could of walked out. I ate here before it was great but today I ordered a wedge salad first off off just let me say they rushed this salad the wedge was just laid on the bacon tomatoes and blue cheese at the bottom of the box. Always enjoy JP's. Although I didn't have a drink this time, their cocktails are worth mentioning. Always a good drink. This visit my husband and I shared a Chicken Cobb Salad with blue cheese dressing. The kitchen was very kind and divided the salad for us. Always appreciate such a kind gesture. We also shared a Cauliflower pizza. It was very good. Did not disappoint. Full flavor. The bar keep never returned...well, way too late when he did, it was after we finished the dip. Timing is everything.
