This place is painted up cute and lit up nice at night. Open late night...serving up the classic Chicago Hot Dog. I Italian Beef's sure looked great, that other folks had. Fast service and the place did great this nig

Red hots, get yer red hots! Cute little shack service a wide menu of your fast food favorites. I enjoy a nice hot dog from time to time and Jr's hits the spot. They've got a pretty big menu but run like a well oiled machine in there. During nicer months, they put out a few tables and chairs. Stop here for a heaping plethora of fries served with the food. They serve smoothies as well as canned soda. They also have a decent sized parking lot as well as street parking. Decent prices for the area and the food tasted super fresh...

Moved in around the corner and can smell these fries daily even above the smell of McDonald's so I wanted to try it out. Pretty easy walk up window with the menu posted outside, and a few minutes after ordering, they call your order. There are about 4 parking spots and maybe 6 outdoor tables available if needed. Now to the food. My husband ordered the regular hot dog, loaded fries, and strawberry shake. He said the dog was solid, snappy skin and juicy. Loaded fries though are a miss. The fries are a little whimpy to start with and then piled high with liquid cheese, sour cream, and bacon makes them more soggy. Strawberry shake was great! Mix of real strawberry and the artificial flavor. A few days later I went to get an Italian beef with giardenara dipped and cheese fries. Looking at the other Yelp pictures, I thought the cheese fries would come as fries and a side of cheese to avoid the sogginess but I was wrong. Still soggy. I'll try one more time to order separately for a final judgment call. Italian beef though was very good. On par with portillos which I don't say lightly. Since we don't live by a portillos, I plan to supplement here in the future but we got to get these cheese fries fixed!

Try this spot out today for lunch. I walked by it often when walking my dog. There's always people outside at the picnic tables dining. Nice thing is that they do have a parking lot with at least 10 spots. Location is convenient right off of Western Armitage. I ordered the double Chicago dog with fries, which came to a total of $4. 99. They only take cash so make sure you have it, if you don't they do have ATM on site. The food was really good I took mine to go. When I got home I was able to play it and add ketchup to my hot dog. I really enjoyed my French fries and really everything. Next time I go I will try the burgers those looked delicious. I am glad this spot is about a mile away from my house which is far enough to not go all the time but close enough to go twice a month.

    Great char dog

It's hard to go wrong here, I live down the street and eat here regularly, love the cheeseburger, char dog, mozzarella sticks, and the grilled chicken sandwich. Milkshakes here are better than Margie's and much less expensive.

Came here one night before I was heading to a bar because I was getting rather peckish and the bar I was venturing to didn't have food. Ordered a cheeseburger. Was surprised that it came with fries! Considerable amount of folks stepped up to order while I was waiting for my food. Burger is tasty+ savory. You get to watch them cook food on grill in front of window.

I'm no Chicago hot dog expert, but I've learned enough to know that Chicago is at least in the Hot Dog Big Leagues. And here, $4.50--you read that right--gets you not only a very serviceable Chicago dog--Vienna beef, natch, with that good snap--but also a more-than-adequate serving of piping-hot, hand-cut french fries. (Fast-food french fries are usually trash; these are about as good as you can ask for without calling for duck-fat frying or similar.) In 2020, which means that Jr's cannot be beat as a dining value. The wife ordered the Maxwell Street Polish, which was excellent, too, and maybe dollar more. Jr's apparently took over this old-timey hot-dog stand just a few years ago. It has a great new red-yellow-and-blue coat of paint to match the Vienna Beef colors, a few parking spots, and a few outdoor tables in the little parking lot. That's about it. At these prices, you don't need any more.

    An AMAZING fried chicken sandwich!!

During this stay-at-home order, it's the little things that bring joy and variety to the day-to-day grind. For me, it was the discovery that Jr's Red Hots has a holy-smokes-amazing FRIED CHICKEN SANDWICH. Initially my partner and I were on the hunt for some comfort fried food at the end of the week. It has been week 3 of quarantine and for some of us, it has been a bigger shift to work from home. And so I cope by hunting for some fried food carry out. The request from him was specifically "a big pile of fries." We were initially going to Red Hot Ranch (5 min drive away) only to realize when we arrived that none of us had cash. This oversight actually led us to find Jr's Red Hots (which is underrated and a best kept secret, but you've read it now). Jr's Red Hots is actually listed as "Vienna Hot Dog Stand" on Google maps. They've added some things to their menu because several items are listed as "Try our new Chicken Sandwich!" or "Try our new Chicken Wings." Well, don't mind if I do. We ordered 2 chicken sandwiches, 6 buffalo wings, and 2 Chicago dogs with everything. Yea-yuh. We drove and we had parked in their little parking lot. We were social distancing so people would place their orders inside one-at-a-time and then step outside and linger around the parking lot to wait. The staff then came out the side door with orders that were ready. Everything came with a side of fries, even the chicken wings, so we had SIX bags of fries and so also ordered 2 sides of cheese. The pile-o-fries dream has been actualized. Your buck goes a long way here. Prices are affordable. And their chicken sandwich. I got emotional. A gently buttered and toasted bun, but toasted just enough so that you get a crispy crunch that's almost sweet. You get a generous, refreshing gob of coleslaw to balance the pickles and the chicken, just enough to add texture and to make the sandwich as classically messy as a fried chicken sandwich should be. Now for the breaded chicken, it was breaded and fried so perfectly I would change nothing. You don't need to go to Roister or Honey Butter Fried Chicken or Leghorn Chicken (which I wish was still around) to get a satisfying chicken sandwich. I think I talked about this sandwich for 10 minutes straight, in between large bites and washing it down with an at-home cocktail. The crunch. The seasoned batter. I cannot. I've got some stupid love for Jr's Fried Chicken Sandwich. Their little hot dog stand pummels you over with larger-than-life heart-stopping flavor. It boggles my mind how much perfection can exist in one bite. Much love to the people working behind those counters. They make magic, and they're still open for business (take-out)!

The fattest juiciest burger I've seen this year and for a great price w/fries straight W!!!
