There is a zero rating. These cons work for the city of San Antonio for low income. Luis was sent over from plumbers to people & that asshole opened my float valve all the way & left. The flush flooded bathroom. Jr's plumbing came by Aug. 27, 1 week they have me suffering. I'm an Army vet. Senior citizen & disabled & this Co. Has audacity to fuck me over. I googled overflow of tank and a couple of righty eighties the problem fixed. That's why the 2 1/2 stars on Yelp. This company sucks & city has contracted this corrupt company. BEWARE. When you think you trust people in your own home. I was at work and my wife had a couple of guys from this company come check our plumbing, one was outside and the other was inside checking for leaks. When I called my wife when I was at work she tells me that the older gentleman Julio groped her and tried to kiss her while shutting front door, blocking her from going outside. They missed their first appointment and never called. I had to call back to reschedule. I told them I needed the outdoor hose spigot changed and the shower knob. These are BASIC parts they should have on their trucks, I was told when making the appointment. When the Technician got to my home, late, there was no apology. He immediately told me he would have to go get parts. When they called to tell me he was going somewhere else I tried to cancel the job. The owner, "Angie," told me not to worry that she would work with me. She said I was being "irrational." When the guy finally got back he changed out the parts in minutes. He then demanded $400.00 for two hours work and $60.00 in parts. When I asked for the receipt for the parts he refused. I don't know if it was because he had tripled the price of the parts when I checked Home Depot where he said he bought them, or if he had them on his truck the whole time. When I tried to call "Angie" she was no longer available and the Technician was threatoning me and screaming in my face. This was once a good company that helped people through the SAWS water Co. after the snow storm Uri in 2021. I was told when I called back that those guys weren't there anymore. No Kidding? I wish they had told me that before they sent out this guy that needs some customer service skills and Anger Management! read more

Had SAWS send this joke of a company to my 78 yr old mothers house to work in pipes since the freeze in February. We have a "beware of dog" sign for insurance purposes as we have a senior 9 yr old gentle giant golden retriever. The one guy gets off and instantly states "I don't do dogs" WTF kind of service is that. The other guy assesses the work reluctantly and then tells me I need to work with SAWS to figure out his partners fear of dogs situation. I would expect SAWS to work with reputable and professional plumbers. Highly disappointed with the lack of professionalism. read more

LONG time customer that was always pleased with their service until today. Spent 10 minutes at my elderly mother's house and the problem was in the refrigerator, not the water line. No recommendation on a service provider and charged $140 hourly charge for 10 minutes. Again, no accommodation for an elderly long-term customer. Looking for a new plumber. read more

He identified my problem in 20 min and had the leak uncovered and identified and ready to go get the needed parts for the repair. On February 16th, during the winter storm that Texas endured, I had a burst pipe and started calling plumbers. The first to respond was J.R.'s Plumbing. The pipe in question was in an outside laundry room and was exposed, not inside a wall. The water had already been shut off at the main cutoff, so no water was coming out of it. The pipe is copper and had been patched before with a length of plastic pvc that was approximately 6" long. It was this patch that had split and was leaking. So the cuts to the copper pipe were already made, all that needed to be done was remove the damaged portion of the pvc pipe and replace it. A couple of people showed up and looked at my pipe. I was immediately quoted a price of $800. In the previous repair to replace the damaged portion of the copper pipe and replace it with plastic pvc, I paid $250. I believe that J.R.s Plumbing took advantage of the weather and the situation to engage in price gouging. I paid $125 for the service visit and told the two plumbers to leave. My husband fixed the pipe himself for $30. read more

I figured because a price was guess-stimated everything was included. My situation is unique. Hospice was involved so not having gas for a week was to say the least hard. No hot water to shower, no gas to cook with, and no dryer to dry clothes. It was a raining and over cast week so even clothes line drying was out of the question. There was also an oxygen tank involved. They "cut-off" gas to the particular bedroom and the bathroom even though he passed away within two-weeks of the job being done. At first I was told the gas will stay off in those two rooms because of the oxygen but then I was told it was carbon monoxide. I have a monitored alarm system that specifically includes carbon monoxide monitoring. (A very big company by the way). They stated a "courtesy" connection had been done when they connected 2 of the 4 heaters. Payment and a waiver must now be signed. They were already paid for the work and it just doesn't seem right.
