My sister who was born on the bicentennial arrived to a decorated private room that was all red, white and blue - tablecloths, napkins, centerpieces, white string lights, and dangling flags and USA from the ceiling. It was so beautiful that my sister was in awe and had a little tear of happiness. Some of family loved the centerpieces so much that they took some home! The food was absolutely a 12 on a scale of 1-10. Angie helped me on the food and alcohol budget. We planned a fish and chicken taco bar. The mahi mahi was so flaky, fresh and perfectly seasoned. Even non-fish lovers raved about it! (Apparently mahi mahi sandwiches are #1 on the menu). She made homemade queso, homemade baked mac n cheese (for my non-taco eaters), chicken nuggets, fruit platters and more. My family raved about the food and even got to go boxes. As part of the party, I had games and giveaways. Angie donated a couple Breakroom gift cards for the local family to win. And the drinks...we had the bottomless Sunday drinks!
