I called JS Concrete to see if they could fix a gaping hole in my concrete driveway that was left where a large tree had been removed. I wasn't sure if it could be done because so much of the old concrete was jagged and uneven as a result of huge tree roots. The owner Jesse came out quickly to give me a very fair estimate and he started work shortly after. Not only did Jesse remove and dispose of large sections of damaged concrete but he flattened out the area and poured a nearly perfectly level section of cement to allow one extra parking space. The job was done so quickly and efficiently that I called Jesse for a 2nd driveway project at my rental house in Manhattan Beach. I am very satisfied with the work JS Concrete did on replacing my driveway. The finished product is beautiful. I am very happy with the drain they added in front of the garage to drain water to the street via a catch basin and pipe through the curb. The price was competitive and they performed on schedule. I would never use this company. I called and spoke with Jesse. We scheduled an appointment for an estimate. 1. He shows up more than 1 hour late with no phone call or apology. I had to call him to check his eta. 2. No estimate provided after he finally came. Jesse advised he would email it to me. Over one week later to follow up from Jesse as to estimate status. I had to follow up every time. Each time I would get a reply text... busy, working on it and will email today etc. I never received an estimate or follow up. Spoke with Jesse, after calling him on Thursday. He asked that I send pictures, which I did along with measurements which I did to the number listed on their yelp profile. On Friday i sent him a text that read, How are you doing, we spoke yesterday, I found your profile off Yelp you must be Jesse? It looks like you usually dont get back to ppl so I understand just wanted to reach out to you one last time. Thanks anyways. He called me right back and said he was busy but he would reply with at least a quote. Well here we are Tuesday and nothing. I am only posting this so that you wont waist your time hoping for a reply bucuase as other yelpers have noted, he doesn't get back to you, or at least hasn't gotten back to me. Jesse & his crew recently completed a concrete job along the side of our house, which has been just dirt for years. They were so quick to respond, did such a great job at a reasonable price, as well as addressed the necessary drainage & even moved our water heater & reinstalled it. I called several times and he finally called back and said his guy was not able to make it and had to reschedule. Jesse shows up late, of course, and rushes taking measurements. One month later, I still don't have an estimate. I have made several attempts to contact Jesse/JS Concrete through text, emails, and through yelp...I guess they are no longer using Yelp. Contacted JS Concrete for an estimate to replace a concrete slab in our backyard. Jesse got out of line at the DMV to make the appointment for the estimate on time. Kudos to him for doing that.
