Catching up with one of my girlfriends!! Hadn't seen each other in a year & a half and it's always love!!! We had a late lunch at @jsinternationalgrill in Richardson, TX! I ordered the Vegan Curry Chicken, Veggie Rice and Cabbage + Vegan Mac & Spinach! My friend got the Lamb with Mushroom Rice and Cabbage! I also had a Mango- Passion fruit drink! Everything was so rich in flavor and I absolutely love the ambiance! This is their 2nd location. I am familiar with the location in the DeSoto Marketplace! I love the growth! The menu has something for everyone to enjoy! Great for date nights as well! Black Owned of course & it's Keith Lee approved!! LOL @keith_lee125 Side note: Im glad & happy to report that Half Price Book Store is not supporting the ban on the OUR history books! So, I had to throw that in there as well! Definitely something to shout out! @halfpricebooks #RichardsonTX #VeganCurry #BlackOwned

Stuffed Turkey Leg with Mac $26 - You see that dried up Piece of turkey? Yuck.

EEEEEEEEK. I went back and forth wondering if I should write a review since I received this food via Uber Eats. I decided to proceed with the review as the poor rating has nothing to do with the temperature or freshness of this meal. So, here we are. It's hard to find a good, fall-off-the-bone turkey leg in restaurant here in DFW, so when I saw this option on J's International Grill, & was flabbergasted. The restaurant is only 10 minutes from my house, but I was feeling a little lazy, so I ordered the turkey leg stuffed with mac & cheese via the app. Ya'll, what a mistake. The turkey leg was extremely dry---dryer than my 9-year-old nephew's dinner conversation. It tasted as if it was severely overcooked, but strangely, it didn't look that way. And the mac, just made it worse. Although it was creamy, it didn't take like mac & cheese. Perhaps, I wasn't used to that type of flavor, but it was a total miss for us. Sadly, we were not able to identify the reason for the bast taste, but my husband and I each took a bite and ended up disposing of it. $30ish down the drain. The turkey leg is raved about in the other reviews, so I was confused as what happened to mine. A 2-rating seemed fair since I didn't visit the restaurant but unfortunately, the leg and mac were the worst we've ever tasted.

Food was so good. It's a small cozy spot playing carribean tunes, not loud enough to drown you out. Service was good, my drinks came pretty slow. My alcoholic beverage came out with the food. Ordered the wee Oxtail and lobster mac. It was so good. I will admit the oxtails were pretty small but very flavorful. Also ordered the stuffed Ed turkey leg with lobster pasta and it did not disappoint. So well seasoned with meat falling off the bone. The tequila mockingbird was delicious, light & refreshing. I'd definitely return and try something else bc they had soo many things we wanted to try. Also ordered a side of jollof rice to go that came out smelling amazing: 4 stars bc my drinks took so long and my oxtails were small. Portion size is good Flavor is good Service is good

This place is a definite NO for me! I've had a lot of jerk chicken and this in fact is the worse I've had. If I could sum it up in one word it would be DRY. The rice was dry and clumpy, the chicken was dry and flavorless....the season was only on the outside. The chicken was more like jerky. The rice didn't have any flavor and tasted like oil. I didn't order the Alfredo sauce but they gave it to me anyway.....probably because they knew it was dry. ALSO, the Alfredo came in a bowl without a top, it was covered in foil so some of it spilled out. I mean who sends food out like that? All in all, I wouldn't give this another try. I usually give second chances but I was so hungry and couldn't even eat it. FYI.... I ordered this around 4pm so there isn't a reason to receive old food. Really disappointing to waste $23 and still hungry as if I didn't order anything.

Great service, great food, great atmosphere. The goat curry was good, although the goat could have been slightly more tender but the flavor was great. The jollof rice was spicy and delicious. Loved the cabbage so much, it was perfectly seasoned. The oxtail, Mac & cheese, veggie rice was so hot and tasty They played r&b the entire time and the vibe was there. I can't wait to go back!

Went on a Saturday night and the dine-in was almost empty. After trying the food, I am very confused as to why that is the case. They have an extensive vegan menu and they do not under deliver. The vegan veggie pasta comes with a creamy alfredo sauce and the jerk "chicken" with mushroom wild rice was seasoned very well. I would definitely try to come back. The interior is decorated nicely and staff is friendly. I would recommend the business to have their store sign light up, as it was a bit hard to find the place in the complex at night. Check this place out if in the Richardson/Dallas area!

I am vegan, the vegan jerk chicken and oxtails were amazing! The restaurant is immaculate. We were walk-ins for take out, I expected a long wait. But, the waitress entered the wrong meal and they had to remake my order. She was very apologetic and gave us 2 -$10 gift cards. Will call ahead next time, otherwise the food is the absolute best I've had.

10/10! Lamb chops, oxtails, dirty rice, lobster mac, cabbage. I literally have ZERO complaints. & the customer service is exceptional! I've been 3 times in the past 2 weeks and it's a half hour drive for me, but so worth it.

My husband, son, and I went to this place for dinner on Saturday night. I must admit - We were a little suspect when we got there. We were the only people there - besides another couple. Yikes! Under normal circumstances, we would turn and walk out. Howsineva, we decided to stay and give it a shot. Glad we did!!! The food was GREAT! We had the Jerk Chicken Wings as an appetizer --- DELICIOUS! I had the Stuffed Turkey Legs Plate --- DELICIOUS! My husband and son (with a takeout for our other son) had the Jerk Oxtail Plates (1/2 Dirty Rice / 1/2 Mac & Cheese) --- DELICIOUS! We will definitely be back! There are sooo many other menu items I/we'd like to try. I only gave 4 Stars (vs 5) because of one quirky thing: They included gratuity in the check. We were not anticipating something like this with 3 of us in our party, and we ain't in Miami! But nonetheless...

I really wanted to love this restaurant. However, it fell short for me. Not sure if this location will make it. The owner and staff are very nice and pleasant. There were some good things. As far as my experience I was happy with some of the food. There were also just some ok things. Several things I wanted to try they didn't have so that wasn't good. Ambiance 4 STARS I like the inside it's clean and has a chill vibe to it. Decor fits the restaurant. Service/Staff 4 STARS Staff were pleasant and helpful. Food Breakdown: Pasta is 4 STARS! Lobster pasta is flavorful and well seasoned Ox Tails 3 STARS They were dry and the flavor was lacking. They were decent size, but overall disappointing. Cabbage 5 STARS This was some delicious cabbage. Some of the best I ever had. It was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. Drinks 4 STARS Tasty and truly enjoyed My friend ordered a turkey leg. Presentation was great and she thought it was good. Overall I had a good experience. I would rate it as average. I left somewhat satisfied. Until they have snapper or lobster I won't go back. I have tried to eat here several more times, but they never have those items available. I hope people go and support. I will check out the other location.

Love JS International! This was my first dine in experience. I normally DoorDash. Restaurant is very clean and welcoming. Staff is super friendly. I'm so glad o finally dined inside. Service was quick and everyone was knowledgeable about the menu. I ordered the shrimp and beef nachos and it was amazing! Sooo good! I definitely will be back to try more of the menu and drinks.

Worth the flight from NY to San Antonio then the 4.5 hour drive from San Antonio there! And yes! The reason for the trip WAS RJH! My friend and I went in Monday around 6:30pm. We were greeted immediately as we walked in and given the option of seating. It was pretty empty with the exception of one other person at the bar and some people coming in for takeout. It's a really big place and it's beautiful in here. LOVE the big Bob Marley/Jamaican flag mural in the back that's also visible from outside. The service was really good. Everything came out quickly and was hot and fresh! We also chatted it up with the owner Adrian who is amazing! Drinks: we went with the rum punch and stuck with it. We had 3-4 rounds and it def punched us at the end of the night! Lol it's the perfect balance of strong and tasty. Food: we started with the Escovitch and RJH Honey BBQ Jerk wings. The Escovitch was soo bomb! I'm not a fan of BBQ sauce but I did try those and will say it was a good balance and the BBQ sauce wasn't overpowering. For entrees we had the "tour of Jamaica" and the Escovitch whole red snapper. The tour of Jamaica is a great idea because it allows you to sample the oxtail, curry goat, and jerk chicken without having to purchase 3 different meals. It's also served with white rice or rice and peas, festival, and steamed cabbage. The oxtails were the star of the tour! It was perfectly seasoned and tender, and came right off the bone! The goat was really good too. I didn't try the jerk chicken. The snapper was my entree and the only thing that was left on my plate were the bones and the lime garnish! It was soo good! I ate the head and everything else! We fully enjoyed our food and dining experience. I will definitely be back and would definitely recommend RJH for any occasion. I had my eye on the Piccadilly, a flavorful mix of ground meat with spices, potatoes, and what I believe were raisins and olives. It comes with white rice and black beans, but you can have them mixed together, which is absolutely the way to go. The combination of savory and slightly sweet flavors was fantastic. My only small wish is that it came with a few more sweet plantains on the side. My husband ordered the Cuban sandwich, which comes with a side. We chose fries and iced tea, and they generously brought us BOTH large iced teas. The sandwich itself was huge, easily big enough to take half home. It was perfectly grilled, warm, and melty. Similar to the cheese roll but with guava jam and no sugar on top. The coconut pastry, i did not get to try. My husband says it is also good. The potato balls has Ground meat like picadillo filling. It was so good. Even the next day, the coating for the balls was still crunchy after I heated it up. The star for me was the cheese roll. Puff pastry with cream cheese filling. So good with coffee! We will definitely go back and try their sandwiches and the flan.

I love a good Cuban sandwich and have been on a serious hunt across DFW. I have found one truly…read morespectacular one (International Bakery and Cuban Dulceria in Carrollton) and plenty of just okay versions. This place absolutely ranks near the top, and honestly brings more to the table than I expected. The Cuban itself is fantastic. Perfectly pressed, packed with flavor, and everything you want when that craving hits. But what really sets it apart is the vinegar dip it comes with. I was not prepared for how good that would be. It completely elevates the sandwich and had me going back for one more dip every single bite. And then there are the plantain strips. Freshly fried, hot, crisp, and just on another level. I do not think I have ever had plantain chips like this before. Usually it is the bagged kind, which are fine, but these are something else entirely. Honestly, they are worth the trip all on their own. Do not even think about leaving without trying the pastries. I happened to get a warm cream cheese one that I cannot stop thinking about. It was one of those bites where you immediately regret not ordering more. To top it all off, the woman running the place is as kind as can be and genuinely helps guide you through the menu like you are a regular, even on your first visit. I will absolutely be back, especially because I need to try their Cuban take on a burger. If it is anything like the rest of the menu, I already know it is going to be incredible.

I got a cubano, and it was a large portion that I was able to take home part of for another meal. I think the pickles could've been more pickle and less cucumber taste, but I loved the mustard and overall it was a fantastic sandwich. The guy who served us was kind and even made sure our drinks were cool for us. The less good: it's a bit of a run down vibe inside, and there were leaks and AC failings inside when we were there. The menu is a bit hard to discern if you're unfamiliar and only available on QR codes at the tables. My bf got a pork dish and mentioned that it was all kind of one note. His dish was more expensive than my sandwich by several dollars and you can see from my picture that he got much less food. Overall, I left feeling kind of wishy washy about this place. Perhaps it would be a great place to order unique delivery from rather than dining in, and I can appreciate the specialty food options overall.

Located in unassuming part of Wylie/St.Paul the restaurant is smack down in the middle of the strip along other places I wanted to try. I ordered their Carne Frita con Arroz. Flavorful chunks of pork which came with fried banana, rice, and beans.. Even though I've never had an actual Puerto Rican food, I expected a whole lot of flavor just by reading about cuisine. I really enjoyed the carne frita and thought it is almost similar to lechon kawali (Filipino dish) but this much leaner part of the pig. Service was very friendly, they'll answer any question you might have especially if you are unfamiliar with the names of some of the dishes. This is a family ran business, you'll feel that upon walking in. Very homey and welcoming. You'll be transported to PR while dining here.
