Half order of fish and chips

Really good food and nice outdoor patio in downtown Plano. Service is friendly and attentive. Live music, when they have it, fun and entertaining.

McNeal's Tavern was perfect for our date night! Reasonably priced and we left full and with leftovers. My fiancé ordered a hamburger and thoroughly enjoyed it, and I loved the fish and chips. Our waiter was super friendly and was even able to have the kitchen make loaded fries for us, even though they weren't on the menu! He also gave us darts to enjoy a game while we were there. We will definitely be back!

Location Downtown Plano Parking Street and nearby lots Atmosphere Irish sports bar- huge tv's. Pool table. Service Wonderful!! We looked all over til we found the " perfect spit" to watch the game-very patient, kind, and attentive Seating Bar, tables, booths Menu Bangers and mash, fish and chips, appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches, brunch, entrees-they have it all. We had the fish and chips-the fries are terrific-thin and crispy. The fish-nicely battered-not heavy or thick-perfect! Served with lemon, catsup, tartar sauce. Summary Centrally located Plano Irish sports pub. Outstanding service, great menu, perfect location.

    Shuffleboard

My wife and I stopped in after dinner at a nearby restaurant for one beer and some shuffleboard. The service was great and shuffleboard is a fun bar game so overall I would recommend McNeal's for those in the area. They had a solo guitar player and the first college football game of the year on also. Good time on our anniversary.

We enjoyed trying McNeal's on a sunny Sunday so not only did was try their Bloody Mary special, and we also chose to eat outside and enjoy the nice weather. My husband went with the Meatball Parmigiana sub sandwich. He kept commenting on how delicious the sub was and had the right balance of meat and sauce. I went with the Salad of Champions which was fabulous and filling without adding an optional protein. The mix of greens with all of the fruits and nuts was a great combo in with a balsamic vinaigrette. The goat cheese and tomatoes really rounded out the flavor. Only went with four stars as unfortunately there was one server for the whole place including the bar. She was doing the best she could give the increasing crowd but it was hard to keep water glasses full and really see when people sitting outside needed something more. These weren't reasons not to come back, just be aware in case you need to be somewhere in a hurry.

Been here twice. Once to check it out, second to watch a football (soccer) match. Staff is very friendly and has a neighborhood bar feel. Lots of beers on tap. The food is amazing. Fish and chips are solid. The bangers and mash they were out of the bangers the first time, but the waiter asked if we wanted to sub for a hamburger patty. Salisbury steak basically. It was amazing. Also have had the sliced beef quesadilla and it was amazing. All the food is really good.

But, they have outside seating, so we took advantage of that. We ordered an assortment of baked goods: homemade pop tarts, a savory bacon and cheese scone, olive oil and lemon cake with vanilla icing, and a cheese danish. Service was great. There was a short line and we were waited on by a friendly and attentive staff member. The inside of the store is packed with food, drinks, and baked goods. There are also frozen ice cream sandwiches which are served inside of macarons. There is a wall of drinks and large counters of baked goods. We loved our cakes, scones, pop tarts, and danish. Each was delicious in its own right and flaky golden brown. The flavors popped and we had a hard time leaving some to bring home. This is a definite must try cafe. I can't wait to go back. Thank you, Preston's Cafe.

I also got the Twix latte since Twix is my favorite candy. I thought this was pretty good. It like a blend of a chocolate caramel latte. My friend got the matcha and said it was earthy and pretty strong. The shop was pretty busy but the service was nice, friendly and fast. I'll have to come back when I come back to town

I had a promo, which definitely made it worth it. You pick the protein that you want. A few of them have an upcharge if it's not chicken. The salad looks sizeable too. They offer a pretty good selection of salads, like Greek, Thai, Cobb, Caesar, and Ranch, as well as dressings of your choice. I like their Thai salad, which has cucumber slices, shredded carrots, romaine lettuce, and red cabbage. They are all very fresh. The dressing is actually what I like the most. It's peanuty, spicy but not too strong, with a subtle tangy and sour note. For my protein option, I've tried their chicken and tofu. The chicken is fine. I like the tofu better though, which is moist, tender, and savory. They also offer seasonal lemonade drink. I've had their cucumber mint lemonade, which is super refreshing especially on a hot Texas summer day! The service is fast. I was there one time during the peak lunch hour. The vehicle line was long, but it moved pretty quick. Give it a try if you want a quality salad at a great price!

First off, service was super attentive the whole night, even when the restaurant started getting pretty busy during the dinner rush. We were served complementary salad, dip, and bread and our water cups never ran dry! The bread was also super fresh and warm and fluffy, which paired perfectly with the hummus and other dishes we ordered. My favorite savory bite of the night was definitely the cag kebab. The lamb was so tender and not gamey at all, and the meat was also grilled to order! It ended up more medium than the medium rare we asked for but still super delicious. I enjoyed eating it as a wrap with the flatbread, and the accompanying onions and tomatoes were super refreshing. The chicken kabob was dry for our tastes and the fries weren't super crispy, but we really loved the savory rice on the side. And the big surprise of the night was how much we all enjoyed the beef iskender! It came in this great tomato sauce that paired well with the cup of yogurt that came on the side. We finished with a couple of desserts that were both delicious and not too sweet. Complementary black tea came out first with sugar cubes for sweetening, and then we got the rice pudding and the Turkish custard. The rice pudding was creamy but not too heavy, and the Turkish custard was super thick and really delicious. I'd never had this dish before but we all agreed we would definitely order it again. Really excellent meal here and I think we were one of only two tables that weren't of Persian descent in the restaurant, which speaks for the satisfying nature of the food. Looking forward to coming back to try other things on the menu, and for the cag kebab!
