My daughter and I were in Plano Arts District for some live music and saw Urban Rio. We got seated right away and had a great table where we could see all the games going on. Food was great quality and service was amazing. Everything came out perfect. I appreciate having nice places to out to nearby! Thanks Urban Rio for not disappointing!

I placed an online order and I was glad that it was ready for me when I came in to pick it up. This was my first time here so the 4 stars is based on the service. The food was tex mex style and very different to what I'm accustomed to in California. The chicken tacos were okay and the birria tacos were much better. I'm glad I got to try it.. can't say I'd be back but you never know.

I love me my Mexican! The restaurant is cute with distinct vibes depending if you want more quiet (downstairs with elongated U shaped booths) or upstairs in more a bar area. I enjoy the chicken tacos and tortilla soup! The chips are yummy and the black bean salsa has a fun cinnamon touch. Our server was a bit inconsistent on checking in with us; my friend requested a refill on the black bean dip and had to ask multiple times. Overall, your experience may just depend on your server. The food is great though. Another solid dining option in downtown Plano.

We got here at 5.30pm on a Friday night and it was empty - but within half an hour it was busting at the seams - so we accidentally picked the best time to arrive! Amazing margaritas, attentive service (thanks Manny!) and great food. I wasn't a fan of the mole sauce that came with the tortilla chips but that could be just me being picky. I had the tamale pie as I've never see anything quite like it on a menu before. It tasted amazing but was SO filling, I couldn't finish even half (definitely a dish for sharing). My kids had the beef tacos and my picky eater finished the lot! We will definitely return when we are in the area again

We had a nice dinner here where our food was good and the drinks were strong. The chips were not great though and seemed not fresh. The dips however were good. The chips are why I gave it a four star. The food would be a 5 and our server provided great service.

My waitress Abi A was not as attentive to me as she was to the elderly white couple that came in after me. I am a person of color. I initially the only one seated on the rooftop outside. Abi was initially OK at first. However, the elderly white couple came in after me and Abi made sure to ask the elderly white couple on SEVERAL occasions if they were OK. She was extremely attentive to them. She went to their table way more times than she went to mine. She would go to their table several times and just skip over me. Any interactions that she would have with me were very rushed and felt forced.. She even asked the elderly white couple if they wanted a dessert and checked them out before me. Mind you, I arrived before they did. She did not ask me if I wanted a desert or anything like that. I hate to play the race card, but I don't know what else to say. A very unpleasant experience. Outside of that, the food and the margaritas were delicious.

Interesting restaurant that's not typical north Texas texmex. The queso and chips were good, the brisket enchiladas were not that great. The brisket was overly sweet like candy sweet with lil smoke. The rice was undercooked and crunchy. Didn't understand the need for two different colored rice piles. The stuffed avocado with chicken was a decent deconstructed style salad with crunchy onion topping. The booth was overly tight for its size and with weak seat springs and microfiber cloth made it difficult to squeeze in/out. Rarely visit this side of Plano so not sure if I'd be interested in returning.

Not a fan of Tex mex food but this restaurant did it right. I requested my Carne asada medium rare- and they delivered! Great service and lots of space- we came in as a party of 8. In the end we ordered the smores dessert dish, which included banana, strawberry and regular flavored marshmallows. My only thing- they should look into playing tejano music and not reggaeton (that threw me off).

    Cute!

This is a perfect spot for dining with the crew, family or alone. I enjoyed a quick $3 margarita and enchiladas at this cozy, clean and chill spot. Food and drinks are great. Love the bean dip and salsa as complimentary with chips. Zaniah is the perfect restaurant server extraordinaire. I will return very soon!

The food was super good!! You get a basket of delicious tortillas with salsa and bean dip before you order. The ambiance was fun and the service was quick. Ali was our waitress and she did great!!

My friend recommended this on his list of Irish Pubs around here, so I decided to give it a try. For a strip mall Irish Pub, it does take you into another world. Cool entrance that opens up to a horseshoe bar with tons of tables and booths. It was Trivia night, so they only had the Stanley Cup playoff on one TV. Sat down at the bar and ordered my Guinness and reviewed the menu. There were a couple of selections I was interested in (always gravitate to Bangers n' Mash), but went with the fish & chips with French Onion soup. Get these together, because the fish is delicious in the beef broth of the French Onion! It was good, though fish could've used a little more batter with the thick walleye filets. I loved it all and enjoyed the conversation with the bartender with the I Love Indie Horror hat. Some good ones out there that aren't being made like they use to!!

After we paid our bill with a credit card, I noticed that we were charged a 3% credit card fee. That was a first, and likely began in April since our last visit was on 3/24/26 and no credit card fee was assessed. Nowhere on the menu was it mentioned there would be a credit card fee, nor was it articulated by a bartender. That sort of fee makes me wonder what's going on in this establishment. Not sure we'll be back.

It's a cool restaurant that has a lot of seating, and cool decor with Guitars displayed on the wall and a small stage for performers. We walked up to where you order. It was counter service and the guy that took our order was laid back. We paid, he gave us a number and then we chose a place to sit and waited for our food. We ordered several items to share. We started off with a charcuterie board that had meats, cheeses, nuts, fruit, and toasted bread. It was really good. The bread was able to hold the ingredients and was nice and crispy but not overly crispy. The meats were good and the different cheeses were flavorful with different textures. The fruit was fresh and the nuts were a nice crunchy addition. Very yummy start. We also shared the Tejas Nachos with Brisket. The Nachos come with tortilla chips covered in cheese, queso, jalapenos, tomatoes, and crema. They were okay. The Brisket was plentiful. There was a lot of cheese and queso spread out all over the nachos. It was a little too much. The chips got soggier the closer you got to the bottom of the pile. Our last shared item was the ZZ Top BBQ Flatbread. It was okay. It came with an overabundance of cheese. It also came with jalapenos, BBQ sauce, and we ordered it with Chicken. It was okay. The cheese was gooey but overwhelming. The jalapenos added a spicy flavor and the BBQ sauce was tasty. Overall the restaurant has a cool atmosphere with good service. The counter service, ordering and paying process was quick and easy. Everytime someone brought our food to us they were friendly. The food was okay and literally very cheesy.

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with TVs for games, live music on weekends, and plenty of indoor and outdoor space. The layout is thoughtfully designed, with patio seating, fire pits, and outdoor activities that make it feel like more than just a typical brewery. The drink selection is a standout. Even if beer isn't your thing, there are solid cocktail and mocktail options. The beer lineup itself is strong, featuring a mix of American and European styles. One thing to note is that serving sizes tend to be on the smaller side, with only a few options available in a 0.5L stein. Service has been consistently friendly and efficient. Food and drinks often arrive very quickly, even during busier times, which is a big plus. The food is good overall but falls into the "solid bar food" category. There are a few highlights, like the cheese curds, which are excellent and a clear favorite. Other dishes such as fish and chips, mac and cheese, and soup are enjoyable but not especially memorable. The burgers are a bit of a letdown, and some of the higher-priced items, like the salmon and short ribs (which resemble more of a chuck roast), are better found elsewhere. Overall, Armor Brewing is a fun, reliable spot to grab a drink and enjoy a lively atmosphere. While the food can be inconsistent and leans toward average bar fare, the drinks, service, and overall experience make it worth coming back.
