My husband and I went on Mother's day around 2pm before it got too packed. The atmosphere is nice they have a DJ with music creating a great vibe while waiting for your food. This was our first time coming the Lobster Mac and cheese was amazing. I'm always super picky about mac and cheese and my husband doesn't care for mac and cheese but it was amazing and even he wanted to order one togo. The pastas were so good not oily like some pasta's are and the portions were big and filling we had plenty left over to take home. Only one person taking the order, cleaning tables, greeting, bartender etc.. She was very nice but needed help. She tried her best but had too much on her plate and there were only 5 people in the restaurant dining!. A+ for taste. D- for service. We got to Js at around 8:24 and were looking around for the host to seat us. He came out from the back and told us we need to order quick because the kitchen was closing in 6 minutes. Fine. We hastily ordered 2 plates of the oxtail and dirty rice. We then proceeded to ask the host if we could sit and eat our meals at one of the empty tables, in which he reluctantly replied that we could with the catch that we would have to eat them out of to-go boxes. Great. As we waited for our food, the host kept throwing us hints that he didn't want us to be there. First, he walks by and makes a statement similar to "my favorite part of the night, going home!" And continues to turn on all the lights as if to say "don't get too comfortable!" At this point we're both getting annoyed. We're handed the food at 8:40 in to-go boxes that are bagged, and tied, another not so subtle hint for us to go elsewhere to eat the food because he wanted to go home. Again I asked him if we could eat the meal at the table and he told us he was trying to go home but that we could stay. At this point it's around 8:40 and I asked him what time the restaurant closed and he confirmed that it closed at 9. As we sat and ate our meals, the host then decided to blast the music and make it as uncomfortable as possible for us to enjoy our meals. BTW, No water was served with our meals. Worst. Service. EVER. That being said, the meal was delicious. The dirty rice is flavorful and the oxtail was savory. Altogether I'm conflicted on whether or not to eat here again because I don't know what left more of a taste in my mouth, the delicious food or the terrible service. read more
