I've been coming to this nail salon since 2017 and have never truly felt welcomed. The only reason I go is for John. He is so fast and does great work. But his wife, Jenny, has never been nice to me. Today she yelled at me because she thought my mom didn't leave a tip. It was so uncomfortable for me because I just paid 90 plus a tip for John. As sad as I am to leave John, I can no longer go there. I refuse to be mistreated for no reason. Especially since I'm always so kind. read more

I don't even want to share because finding a good nail place is so hard. But hiding this unicorn would be selfish to mankind! I have been going here twice a month now for about three months. I came in with a set I hated from another place. They never looked right , the shape was wrong, and the gel was botched and looked nothing like the pictures I took in as an example. The owner here laughed with me and said, "yes I see you didn't get those done here" I seriously thought my request was too much or that trying to replicate my desire was too much to ask but J's nails did it now time and time again! 3 stars because their customer service is great but their work is terrible and over priced. I had a pedi and acrylic which they told me was 35 and 40 and my daughter age 6 a mani pedi which they said was "kid priced" I walked out of there paying $150 and a $20 (because they are super nice.) That's not even the bad part my full set was awful. Every single nail is a different shape and pointing in different directions. I asked for rounded almonds some were rounded and some were very sharp. They are also curved downward like a animal claw. When I asked to make them all the same she smiled and dragged the file across and said "better" I am not one to be rude or cause a scene so after about the 5th time asking I just wanted to get the hell out of there. Just came back to get my eyebrows done. Tina did a great job, she is not very talkative however she did share with me that she has been working there for 8 years. I was very happy with the customer service. I just wish they still did the mini forehead massage at the end. Nice back room would have been better if the tv wasn't playing lions attacking each other. read more

I was nervous going into the nail salon because I wasn't sure if they could give me what I envisioned for my wedding day. I showed them the picture of my vision and everyone pitched in to help with my nails. I went in at the end of the day but they stayed extra time to finish them. Let me start by saying, if I could give zero stars, I would. RUDE STAFF!! Sloppy job on nails I went into J's nail salon located in Hemet, California on Sunday May 26, 2019. As I sat and my technician began laying my nails on my fingers, I noticed they had not been laid straight. I brought it to the attention of my Technician, and when she was unable to correct the problem, she moved me to another chair. This mans name was "John". As John was also unable to correct the problem, he offered to remove the nails and redo them all. He used Nail clippers to cut the acrylic nails down PASSED the length of my natural nails. In the process of doing this, the female technician who started my nails proceeded to ask me, very loudly and rudely, "why did you tell him all of them were messed up when you only told me two nails were messed up". I reiterated to her that I notified her that more than two of my nails were applied incorrectly, and that the man offered to remove my nails, I did not ask. He then proceeded to file the acrylic off of my nails using a very course electric file. When he reached my index finger on my left hand, he filed through both the acrylic and my real nail causing me to bleed. I snatched my hand from him from the pain but continued to let him remove the rest of my nails. When he finished removing the acrylic, he asked if I wanted them put back on my nails. I declined stating that he was unable to lay new glue or acrylic on an open wound. I walked outside to put my belongings in the car, then returned to the establishment. When I approached the door, it was locked. The man, "John", came to the door. I asked him if he was the owner and he said no. I asked if the owner was present so that I may speak with him, and John notified me that the owner was not at the business because he works elsewhere. I asked for a number to reach the owner so that I may voice my concerns with the services I received this day in the shop and he let me know that he could not give me a number but he could take my number down and have the owner give me a call. I felt uncomfortable with that but gave my number anyway. When I was standing at the door, the man was pulling the door closed in my face. I asked why he was trying to close the door on me, and he said if I wanted to talk, that I needed to come inside. I proceeded to enter the establishment and try to speak with the employees before I left to resolve the issue. We were unable to do so due to the employees being extremely rude, and talking over me. There was a total disregard for the situation. Before I left I asked if anyone in the shop was able to call the owner and pass me the phone so I may speak with him to notify him of what happened. Everyone in the shop declined to fulfill that request. As I left the establishment, I let them know that I would be in contact with the board for all of my suspicions and my concerns. While in the shop, I observed many utensils being reused without proper sanitation, the coarse file that was used when my Nail was filed through was thrown back into a plastic drawer even though I had visible blood on my nail from my nail being filed all the way through. I want to ensure this does not happen to another patron, and to ensure all sanitary measures are being fulfilled. I also did not observe any licenses posted through the establishment for any of the technicians when I looked for the license numbers to both of these technicians. read more

Never will I ever go here again. I called and asked for a color change as they were the only nail salon open that evening. When I requested the color the man who did my nails said "who did your nails?" I said "Nail Heaven. They're my usual spot but they were closed today." He shook his head and continued to try and make them "better" and ended up making my nails so jagged. I kept my opinions to myself however and kept polite considering they took me in last second. It was okay but NOW I'm being told my a very close friend of mine that they were being homophobic towards them. They had asked to have their nails painted like the LGBTQ+ flags and in a rude tone the man doing their nails asked them what they meant. When they explained they did a worse job than before and they rolled their eyes at them. Horrible. Go to City Nails or Nail Heaven instead. read more

I had a 4:30 appointment they said I never had one then I told Jenny my appointment was set with John for 4:30 she said no I said yes she finally realized I did it was already 5:15pm she wanted me to have someone else I said no . Then she said she did a mistake wanted me to come tomorrow I said no I don't have time . I did a pedicure because I thought I had fill appointment I have heard of so many people of this happening to . After 7 years It finally happened to me I'm done with this place and will never go back they are very lazy now not the same service don't waste your time to make appointment cause they just don't care . read more

I had a very nice experience here. I went in yesterday (Sunday), it was one of the few shops open the Sunday before Christmas, I did call for an appointment ahead of time because I live 45 mins away. (But walk-ins are welcome) I requested ****John**** because I have read great reviews about him. He did beautiful work. I asked for stiletto nails (pointy). I don't think he had done them before because he used one of my instagram pictures for reference, which was fine, I actually really appreciated it. The fact that he was open to learning about what I want/like is awesome. The language barrier can be difficult at times. For example: I don't want nail polish, I like colored acrylic, but they couldn't understand using colors Without using nail polish. That was the Only thing that made it a bit difficult, but honestly, that is the case at EVERY shop I've been to: just trying to convey what you want done. Never been more disappointed. I was quite the regular customer for eyebrow and facial waxing but will definitely not be going back. I went in and they were pretty busy but told me it would just be 20 minutes. I was fine waiting no big deal but when finally called back Jenny completely butchered my eyebrows. She came in and in just 2 minutes removed 80% of my eyebrows leaving me with freaking straight lines on my forehead. In all my comings I always informed her I just wanted them cleaned up since I was trying to get them as full as they could be. She quickly ran through my brows and didn't even tell me I was done she just left the room. I am in tears with the results and will not be going back. I just left there 3 hrs ago and I'm passed...the young lady doing my feet for the pedicure amazing EXCEPT the paraffin wax was only on the soles of my feet NOT wrapped around my whole foot THEN the message I felt like a baby playing with my feet I asked more pressure because I'm military and they get are tight she said oh no I can't WHAT I JUST ASKED HER TO STOP and she only partially massaged one leg and nothing on the other....then my male nail tech was awesome too but look at the picture... they are inexpensive and yes I still tipped read more

Open on Sunday's, so this is a plus. Once you are seated in a massage chair, you start to realize just how unsanitary this place really is. Behind the chairs had dust build up, terrible mildew smell and questionable dirty towels. I tried to look past this and give them a chance. But when it was time for me to have my toes filed and clipped, the lady pulled out some soiled tools and I lost it. I also pointed out that the towel she used under my feet had cuticle clippings all over them! So disgusting!! I made a scene and forbid to pay for the time soaking my feet in god knows what. How hard is it to clean and use sanitary tools/towels? By far one of the worst nail salons I've ever come across. read more

Have never been to a place so dirty and unsanitary. They should be reported to the Health Department. I've been told by numerous people of the fungus and infections they've had after leaving that place. Walking in smelt horrible, there's no vent going on to circulate the air. I came in for a Mani and pedi and was the worse one I've ever had!!! Nail clippers are not sanitize NONE OF THEIR TOOLS ARE!!! Their chairs are old and super uncomfortable! The lady doing my toe nails had no idea what she was doing! She didn't do any of the usual pedicure procedures! They made me bleed and it hurt so bad! Then the spray me with some green bottle, smelt horrible and made my nails turn a weird color! Ask for a French tip she had to redo 2 times. And still couldn't do it right!!! My toe nails hurt so bad!!! Taking off my gel nail polish was an uncomfortable procedure as well! They soak your nails in accetone instead of cotton balls! It turn my nails super weak and they didn't even do a good job leaving the cuticles and nails looking horrible! Tried to walk out and the guy fucken stop me and force me to pay!!! $35 for this bullshit!!! Never ever come here! It's small, dirty, old and unsanitary!!! And if you don't like the work and try to walk out they will stop you and force you to pay!!! read more

the prices are outrageous for a alright job that they do, i've been getting my nails done for a while from them and the prices go up every time and i payed less for a good set and more for a simple set. jenny says she charges by the time so to me it's really not worth it your better off going to a nail tech and get a bomb set for 90$ meanwhile jenny charges about 60$ a hour . read more

All I had was a gel color change and they took off the acrylic and replaced it but so thin that the gel cracked the next day and by the next week all my nails are broke and bad looking .... I called in the morning to find out if an appointment was needed. I made an appointment for later that day (told them it didn't matter with who, I was new to their business). I arrived about 20 minutes early; walked in and a man (John?) was working on someone's nails near the door. He looked up at me and I told him I was early for my appointment. He didn't say anything so I just sat in the nearby waiting area. There were 2 other female staff members and one other male staff member. One woman and the other male were sitting around looking at their cell phones while I waited. There were 2 women getting pedicures (one was done, the other almost). When the woman working with them was finished, I thought maybe she'd call me over. Just as the 2 women left another woman walked in and the woman who'd been doing the pedicures motioned her over. About this time the other male employee went outside to smoke a cigarette and the other woman walked into the back area. At this point I got up and walked out. I've been going to Js Nails for over 5 years. They make me feel like family. They do a great job and are very reasonably priced also.

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE PLACE. Completely missed my toenails when trying to paint them, I basically had to beg the lady to come back and paint the rest of my toenail. There nail color selection is very limited and are OLD! On top of this all my nail lengths are uneven, my third toe is longer than the rest of my toes??! On top of my problems, the lady getting her toes done next to me was trying to tell the lady she wanted a rounded toe nail shape and the lady doing her nails insisted that was impossible.. Ive never heard that you cant have a rounded shape nail so I don't know what that lady was thinking. Anyways there nails prices are cheap for a reason!! I DID NOT tip.
