The one thing I told him when is that I can't have, is him tell me I got the wrong door. Guess what?! He did EXACTLY that. He sent me pictures of what doors to get including how much each one costs, installs them both, then AFTERWARDS tells me one of the doors was the wrong one? There's a huge 1/2" gap all the way around the one door that looks TERRIBLE. Didn't put any molding on the other door until I like forced him to. My analogy is "what would an 80-year-old lady do in a situation like this? She needs two new doors and expects an "expert" to do the FULL JOB, not leave bits and pieces for someone else, at more money, to have to come in and either fix and/or finish. Needed door from my house to garage replaced. It was a unique situation and I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to get it done without extensive work and money going into the project. I had a local big box store come out who told me it would be a specialized sizing, lots of labor and gave me a rather large quote. I was referred to John at JT Door by someone on Next Door. Spoke to him on the phone and a week later he was out here replacing the door. Took an hour and a half. And he charged me 1/3 less than the big box store quoted. The door is beautiful and solid. BEWARE!!!! John is mentally ill. He has been harassing and threatening me for days even AFTER I asked him repeatedly to leave me alone AND after I told him I filed a police report. He is rude, unprofessional and down right creepy. Once he started the job and was in my house I felt sick, like I was a prisoner. He rushed through the job, argued with me when i would confront him about things he didn't do right, he got loud with me on the phone, he damaged my property, lied multiple times to my face, even threw parts away to closet doors because he didn't want to install them. I found them stuffed in the trash. I fired him and only paid for half the job since he did half the work, mediocre at best. His harassment and threats to "do something that will put him in jail" have been going on for 4 days to the tune of almost 75 text messages. He is a PSYCHO!!!! read more

I cannot say enough great things about John and Terry. We have used them for several door installations...both for home and for rental properties. They are both very professional and very knowledgeable when it comes to door installation. We just recently purchased a custom made front door. John came and measured and walked is through what it would take and helped us confidently order the proper door. He and Terry came for installation and worked all day. This door is MASSIVE!! It was very difficult just to lift the doors themselves. They had to cut out the frame of the door to make it larger to accommodate the larger door. They worked ALL day to get the job completely and even though there were some road blocks, John managed to keep the mood light and kept everyone laughing with his funny sense of humor. I was actually surprised to see some previous negative reviews because we've had nothing but positive experiences with this company. I have never posted a bad review and I have had many times that I should have. Today is one of those times , I can't let go by, unfortunately. My husband and I scheduled on 4-12-2015 to have John install a door at 8:00 am on 5-1. John was very informative and insightful Thats why we chose him. The second time we spoke with him was to let him know we picked up the doors (special order) and John said good and said it would be 12:00 instead of 8:00 a.m., we said that's fine. Then he called the night before install and changed appointment time back to 8:00 a.m. we were both perplexed as to time change, again. Secondly, my husband had cancelled important doctors appointment to be here for the install. on May 1st at approximately 9:30a.m we called John and asked him if he he was planning on coming out and explained that we cancelled appointments and were under the impression he was going to be here this morning per conversation lastnight. Then my husband asked me if I still wanted him to install door today seeing since we had things to do. At this point John began to scream into phone saying "I have probably spoken to 35 people since lastnight. What are you crying into the phone? Don't ever call me again...at this point I told him he was unprofessional and was notifying the BBB. I will start by stating that John Tittensor is the most unprofessional individual I ever met. This is our story that I'm going to post for him at every corner of social media. While I was searching for an installer I saw JT doors reviews online and I did my diligence to read most of them but I guess I missed the bad reviews. We needed him to install two entry doors from Therma Tru. He claims that he has been doing this work for 20 years but my experience with him on that day when he showed up to do the project was the opposite of what he claims. In addition, if you ask him any question he would get upset at you, I have asked him two questions as follows: do you use low expansion foam? or do you flash the door sill to prevent wood damage? He answered "NO" to both questions, so I said fine and a few minutes later this individual got into his truck and drove off. He called me to tell me over the phone that he can't do my job because I need everything perfect. After all, I'm asking him a few questions. Additionally, if he thinks asking questions led him to assume that I need a perfect job then I'm also assuming you are not going to do a good job. Please be the judge in this case. Read other bad reviews because they speak volumes. Avoid doing business with this individual. read more

My experience is the complete opposite of L M. John installed 4 interior doors for me and my experience with his company was very good. He called me the day before he was scheduled to come as a reminder. He called me on the day of my appointment to let me know what his ETA would be and he arrived within the time frame he stated. I hired John in August of 2014 to install a set of patio doors replacing a door wall. The price was fair and John and a worker showed up on time and installed the door. I was satisfied and John seemed to know what he was doing. In the winter I noticed that a draft and could see light coming through at the top center where the doors meet. I called Masonite and had them come out for warranty. They decided the doors were fine, but not installed properly. I contacted John to have him come out and adjust the install. What resulted in a series of text messages is here below. After 5 weeks and no date to come look at the doors, I hired another door company to come in and fix the work. Take a look and you decide if you'd use JT Doors. July 10th Me to John - John. That set of French doors you installed last August needs to be adjusted. The door isn't sealing at the top on the working door. I had Masonite come out for warranty and they say it isn't square or plumb? July 11th Me to John - ??
