I last visited a few years back. I had a horrible experience with the lady owner. That's why l never went back since. I was the only customer. The lady owner acknowledged me and only showed me the clearance sections and non-branded scrubs. I took my time browsing including the branded sections. I saw a pair of Koi scrubs and asked her how much are they. She answered, "Oh! You went to the branded sections. Those are expensive! That's why, l only showed you the cheapest ones". I was completely shocked and insulted from what she said. I felt discriminated. I told her that l can afford buying a branded scrub. When l was paying at the register, all of a sudden, l noticed her being nice and friendly by the tone of her voice. Especially when she found out what l do for a living. She handed me a bunch of her store flyers to share with my colleagues at work. Funny isn't it? I won't recommend this business because of her behavior. There are so many cheaper options online to choose from nowadays. Compared to her store prices such as Mandala scrubs. You can buy them online for less. Literally the best scrub place I have ever been to. I lost hope in scrub stores so I would only order online. Decided to try this place out after hearing how good of a place it was. First off, I was greeted by a guy when I first went in. He made me feel welcomed even though most people are scared of others during this social distancing period. Teresa was super sweet and helpful. She wasn't too invasive and allowed me to shop, but was also there to answer all my questions. The prices are a steal and there's always sales that the host through out the year. I must tell you about my experience with JT health care uniforms personnel. First of all at the entrance they have a, "masks required" sign at the door then a sign that directs customers to a touch less hand sanitizing station. As soon as I walked in the store I was immediately greeted and asked if I needed help finding something in particular. Her welcoming attitude made me feel comfortable. She informed me of procedures to finding the perfect fit and helped me place my order. I also needed shoes and although they do not carry any in store, she recommended a few locations near by. I later found out that as a student for the month January, I qualified for a discount! NOT only that but I was also entered to win a stethoscope raffle that would take place towards the end of the month. This person who helped me get ready for school was Teresa, she is also the owner of this location. I was beyond impressed with how she expressed herself regarding students and her need to help her community. I asked her if this would be her first year to raffle a stethoscope, Teresa replied that she has always done this and a semester scholarship. She pulled out this huge binder full of pictures of students that have been previous winners. It was amazing! She also keeps track of their achievements as they continue to come back to buy more uniforms. It was really cool. I left the store and had a different look on what "helping local and giving back locally," meant. I get a call a few days later to pick up my uniforms as they also needed my school patch sewed on and were ready. She also congratulated me for being the January winner!!!! I could NOT BELIEVE THIS. With absolutely everything that is happening new baby, new school, pandemic, temporary job lay off. I was nothing but thankful. All in all, I highly recommend this place to purchase health care uniforms. If she doesn't have something you need she'll go the extra step to help you get it or guide you to someone who can. Horrible customer service by Teresa. I went in about a week ago and spend over $250 on scrubs. I was sick and didn't want to try them out so I just made a purchase and left. A few days later I went back and unfortunately forgot one on my receipts so I asked my husband to send me a picture. I was simply going to exchange the sizes. I went in I looked around and this time I tried out everything. My mom was also with me and was going to do a purchase of $70 and had an exchange as well. We proceeded to the register and immediately she starts yelling at me claiming she knew I was going to go back and return what I bought. Let me make it clear that I haven't been their in over 2 years. Clearly she was so out of it she couldn't even hear it was an exchange. She was yelling in front of other customers and even her husband looked embarrassed by her behavior. What kind of customer service is that? I explained I forgot one of my receipts at home but had a picture and it was literally 4 days ago that I had made the purchase. Well she kept yelling and threw the scrubs aside and said she would only return what ever I had a receipt for. Calmly I said fine. I ended up return what ever I had my receipt for that day. Then she turns around and literally yells at my mom that she went over the 14 days and an exchange wasn't allowed. My sweet mother was shocked and even question if she should even buy the two scrub tops that she had. I went ahead and told her it's ok to do the purchase because really we drove from Santa Cruz to Salinas to do just that. That day I was completely blown away about the terrible service we got. I spoke to my sister, my classmates and everyone I could about them not giving her any business. First of I understand she has a policy of returns and exchanges but she losses nothing at all explaining in a better way to her customers. The next day I went in had my receipt and just returned everything. When I got their she had a customer with a toddler and was baby talking and acting as if she really was a nice person. What a joke! This lady is rude and docent realize she's in business because of people like us who go in and give her our money. You would think that as the owner she would be more understanding or simply treat others with respect but nope. Again that day she was literally yelling at me and my mom in such a rude way. So if you can don't drive their, don't spend your money with her, and don't recommend any one to go to her. She has no respect and has no customer service skills. The store should be in her husbands hands who seems like he is a respectful and caring person. By this review I hope many people save themselves time and don't shop with her! read more

I am just beginning my road to healthcare and just enrolled in the Mission Trails ROP CNA class. I was unsure of what to get in terms of uniform, shoes, and accessories to help me get started, but as soon as I walked into JT Healthcare Uniforms, the owner was extremely courteous and kind and showed me exactly where I could find what I needed. She has a great selection of scrubs (tops, bottoms, jackets) and accessories (stethoscopes, badge holders, etc) to fit many different aesthetics and budgets. There are also monthly deals for different items. The selection on shoes is a little smaller but I found that they are both fashionable and comfortable. She also offers sewing services to place patches on uniforms if needed. To my great surprise, I was also the raffle winner of the month and got a beautiful flower arrangement and a wonderful prize (Thank you so much!). I can't wait to finish the program so I can go back and buy more scrubs for my job! read more

I read an older review of JT from here some time ago and the majority of the reviews seemed quite positive... so I though perhaps it was just kind of a hiccup encounter. However upon shopping at JT numerous times for the past few months I can detect some truth to some of the "lower star reviews". Teresa can be quite passive and come off as "rude" to customers, I definitely see it even when I have witnessed interactions with even other customers while I am shopping. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt sometimes- you can sometimes just have a bad day and not be in the mood. But, I really have detected a lot of passiveness in regard to her attitude and character with customers. Not a lot of warmth or niceness. She can be kind of rough in her tone, so I really can understand the experiences past customers have had in saying this. It's just disappointing, as someone previously stated a lot of us in this community do definitely give this place business. The least any owner can do is carry kindness and general respect to customers to be thankful for their business in the store. I have been disappointed with her bluntness and lack of kindliness in my interactions with her. Perhaps she has been going through something personal that could reflect this behavior, and she is not mindful of how her character is being exhibited to us as customers. I say this not to criticize and judge-but rather validate other customer interactions and acknowledge that this his been my ongoing experience(s) for multiple trips coming into this store. I am sure people have inevitably stopped shopping due to feeling dismissed or the passiveness I have mentioned. It's weaning me to not even go, truthfully. It feels upsetting to be treated unkindly when you are simply trying to buy materials for your job. read more

I recently visited JT's to get the uniforms I needed for the LVN program. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the friendly staff. The staff was so helpful and everything was clearly labeled in the store. They made me feel right at home with suggestions about cleaning the scrubs and the maintenance to make them last longer. I was surprised with all the discounts and giveaways that they offered for students. After I purchased my scrubs, I enlisted for the stethoscope giveaway and was shocked when I won the prize. I usually never have any luck with giveaways, but I am glad I won the prize since it is an essential tool for the medical field. I was really disappointed the day we went. The owner (man in men's dept) does not like to wear his mask. He approached us without one and we asked him to wear it and he was hesitate. Also there was a customer inside with scrubs without a mask ! I am sure wearing scrubs means you are somewhat in the medical field and therefore should want to protect others because clearly you don't care if you get sick. I can't comment about the scrubs because we did not get the chance. Its the law wear a mask especially indoors in a small store........I should have taken pictures so people could actually see. read more

Love this place. Specially the lady. She has been here for more then 8 years, I love how they get sales like almost every month. She uses the money that's spent in the store for such a beautiful cause. She donates money to strong cancer fighters and to special need children and to all who she can help in the Salinas area.
