I can't speak to the other reviews because my experience has been stellar. We had an old broiler system for our radiant heat and hot water system. It failed and JT (the owner) showed up within two hours. He quickly diagnosed the issue but realized we needed a new system. It's 15 years old so I knew it was time and the company is out of business so parts were basically impossible to find. JT understood being without hot water for a couple of weeks would be a challenge. BUT some serious outside the box thinking came into play. There was another project they were removing the same broiler from and going to toss. He drove across town to that project and picked up the unit (that was going to be tossed) and brought over. He took the pieces from the other unit and get ours working until the new unit arrived. I mean come on! Most people would have just shrugged it off with an "it is what it is" type of comment but they went ABOVE and BEYOND to make sure we weren't without hot water for more than half a day. We also had a flap unit that failed, so they replaced that. Shortly after that unit was making a horrible noise and they showed up to check it out. Although they could have stuck me with the bill because I think CalAM shut our water off causing that pump to fail they just handled it. As far as pricing, I called around for another bid on my broiler and they were literally 5k less than anyone else. read more

I was charged a reasonable rate and talked through the itemized invoice before paying to my satisfaction. Previously they did maintenance on on tankless water heater . I highly recommend JT Plumbing and do not understand why they don't have 100% 5 star reviews (although they mostly do). They have excellent customer service and their plumbers are very professional and personable. Xavier, the manager, came out first and I was very impressed with his knowledge and trustworthiness. I had two plumbing issues to deal with, one involving a gas line connection to an oven, and the other to replace a cartridge in a shower knob. Both jobs were done with care and I really appreciated the quality of their work. They are also reasonably priced for the type of work that they do. We are extremely satisfied with the outstanding professionalism of JT Plumbing. Mid-September, we noticed a leak on the bottom of our tankless water heater. Since JT Plumbing installed it for the previous owner in 2015, we called and they sent a plumber to our home the day after. The plumber inspected the water heater and suggested to replace it, as the warranty was for five years and those units last only for 6-8 years. We got the new water heater 10 days later, due to the delay of the new unit's delivery. That night with the new water heater, we got bubbling white water and it took about a minute to get the hot water - usually it took 1-2 seconds. I called the office the next day and they sent a plumber over. The diagnose was that the pump was not working, which needed to be replaced. This would be another $700+. I reached out to the owner of the company Mr. JT and explained to him that we suspected too much air in the new unit, which was NOT cleared out after installing it, might have caused the pump malfunction. Mr. JT checked with his guy and his office and called me back to inform me it was their fault during the replacing of the water heater. He would send his guy over to replace the pump without any charges. Two days later, a plumber came, brought the new pump, and replaced it. I am truly touched by Mr. JT's honesty and professionalism. How many companies would do what Mr. JT did for us? Others may easily suggest that the pump was old and broken down. We are so happy that we have found a great, dependable and trust worthy plumber -- JT Plumbing. read more

Had water main break about 1/2 way down my 200 foot run to the meter...they showed up same day (just before holidays), dug up spot of break, and provided temporary fix until they could get parts from back order. We had temporary fix through holidays, but did permanent fix shortly thereafter, when parts arrived. As for their service, they were honest reliable, knowledgeable, and attentive to the customer. I've had a lot of plumbers come out to the property and it is hard to find reliable and quality service. I managed maintenance at 17 locations in the Monterey/Salinas/Carmel area and relied on JT Plumbing for HUGE emergencies and minor issues. They handled EVERYTHING no matter how large or small the problem was. They deftly handled problems that required road closures to excavate sewer lines in city streets. They took care of sewer line blockages. You name it, they did it. When what seemed like a simple plumbing call required different contractors to get involved they knew how to manage the project. Don't be fooled by the one star reviews - it looks like those people are being petty. I have been waiting for 5 days for the plumber's report and photos for my records and I need to pass it on to the insurance. Worst communication I've ever dealt with when it comes to a "professional business". I took time off of work for a 9am appointment. No one shows up, so I call around 10 to see what's going on . And nobody knew anything about it. Mind you, my heater has been out for days and they received the ticket days in advance . They finally say they'll have some here within an hour and now we're already passing hour 2 and no communication form the office or tech! Very disappointing! The outdoor plumbing sprung a leak and JT Plumbing fixed it by abandoning the old pipes and rerouting to the house. What they didn't say is they were cutting off the water supply to the rest of the property (barn, greenhouse, garden). It was not discovered right away because I was out of town. Already over $3000.00 into the project they refused to take any responsibility but said they would send someone out. I waited over 8 hours and told them to forget it that day because it was dark. Came the next day and said they would charge time and material to find the problem plus a new quote for the project. Well, the appointment was scheduled to begin work and they didn't show up AGAIN. Do not use this company! They have left carpet rotting from overflow of toilet. Then last night I had to use them again. Unfortunately. This was second visit of day to fix plumbing issue with my toilet. He (JT person) came in house, looked at toilet and said he he wasn't going to bother my hubby anymore (it was after 10pm) and my hubby had just started eating dinner. The JT guy then came to the kitchen window telling him to flush the toilet, and after my hubby refused because he was eating dinner, the JT guy decided to tell our landlord he was being hostile. I'm sorry, but who wants to flush a toilet when their eating dinner and have been told the repair person wouldn't bother anymore?? They want to use your power instead of bring a generator to use themselves. read more

Very happy with these guys. They camerad my sewer line ,located the problem, marked it and informed me that it was only three and a half feet deep. Just wanted to share my experience with JT Plumbing. I called them mid day to schedule a repair our clogged drains & spoke to "Rosie". It was nice not having to leave a message & talking to a "live person". I explained to Rosie that this was kind of an emergency because my mom's having hospice care & we really needed a toilet working. She told me that she had us scheduled for after hours but if something came available then she would send out a technician earlier. It was a little over an hour when "Jan" the plumbing technician arrived. He was very courteous & worked very quickly & resolved the situation in about an hour & 15 minutes. The charge was very reasonable (l actually thought it was going to be more). I had a great experience with JT Plumbing & will use them when needed & recommend them highly. Very disappointed in jt plumbing. Always used them for everything and even recommend them to family and friends. On one family member, the owner (jt plumber) and a helper left a huge mess when repairing soft water tank. Left the clean up for an 87 year old woman, not good. 2nd family member used them for pipes backing up months ago and no problem. Well they called again same problem. A man answered and said he would call back, which he did. Well they did call back and began to yell at the customer to say they service there before and won't again .. mumble mumble .. then the man on the phone hung up on them. Nothing was said at the 1st visit about not coming back out. Definitely not deferrable. Why did they call back? It would have been better if they didnt call back. read more

From start to finish, the employees at JT were courteous, efficient, and responsible. Xavier, the JT dispatcher, offered to get a plumber out to me if possible even though they were swamped due to the July 4th weekend. He understood my emergency situation: no toilets, baths, or showers with four houseguests arriving in three days. By 2:00, Jantzen arrived and worked non-stop for over two hours until he found and flushed out the blockage.
