It's been a while since I've been to JTs as every time I got a to go order it was wrong, but I wanted catfish. Question, now the menu says 'fish', not 'catfish', is it Swai? Got a large fish order & 2 1/2 orders fried pickles & mushrooms to go tonight. Total $ when ordering seemed abut $4 too high.. but maybe that was a to go fee or prices increased. When I checked out, I put 0% tip as I know with JTs wait until I get the food to cash tip. In looking at ticket, they gave & charged me for a full order of shrooms... here we go again. Got home 5 minutes later, the shrooms & pickles were so greasy & flimsy & undercooked we could only eat a couple. Was the cook a Munford HS student???? Did he not check the temp when cooking, these are pretty easy to get right, but these were downright nasty. Homemade chips were good. Fish was good - 1st piece, nice & crispy, 2nd piece not so much. How in the world does that happen? No matter how good their fish is, everything else is a complete disaster. Never again... I'll drive to Memphis to get fish vs JTs. read more

Haven't eaten here in years, so here's the update! My daughter and I were craving a burger and since we happen to be in Munford decided to eat here. Once inside, the waiting area (entrance) had a party of 5 waiting. My daughter and I ended up waiting 15 for a seat even though their were vacant tables. We were promptly greeted by our server. We both ordered their 1/3 lb. burger and a baked potato. After waiting 25 minutes our food arrived. Our food was warm not hot and came out as we had requested. One bite in and all I could taste was an unseasoned dry burger. I had to put a ton of mustard on it to be able to get it down. Even though our server was very nice and provide us with 5 star service the food was mediocre as it was the last time. Even with the 10% off with check in on yelp, still not worth $21. My daughter even made the comment that she'd had a better burger at Burger King. Potato was equally as dry. Attached is a photo after my first bite. First time eating here a few weeks ago, ordered take out for lunch. Place was slammed, but the staff was friendly and quick to get my food and ring me up. Brought the food home immediately (5 min drive) and ate. Unfortunately, two of the small order of wings were undercooked (obviously because they were so much larger than the rest and that was accounted for in the prep or cook time). The chicken beat filet on the chicken sandwich was dry, and the bun was soggy. Fries were drenched in oil and also soggy (meaning they were also undercooked or cooked at too low temperature oil). On other words, an all around bad food experience. With how busy they were, the awards they proudly boast on their website, and all the positive reviews I found on multiple sites, they fell far short of expectations... especially for the prices they are charging for diner food (well above market). The food was unimpressive, they got our order wrong and when I went in to make it right, the staff was more worried about who to blame for getting it wrong, than actually correcting it. I wasn't angry or yelling, I know things go wrong, we are all human. They acted very put off and defensive, which was silly and off putting. Needless to say, we have been here 3 or 4 times since we moved here a couple months ago. I guess when you find a place that is good, you keep going back. Service has always been friendly. Only giving 4 of 5 stars as the food is inconsistent. We have had super good food and some not so good. My favorites are the Fish & Tenders Platter (so much food I had to take some home) & the Aloha Chicken Sandwich. My husbands favorites are Philly Wrap & Mushroom Swiss Burger. I used to love this place. But the past few times my husband and I went it was so... bland. Last time we went he got the taco salad and... why. Why was someone scared to season the meat? No garlic, no cumin, almost no salt, no pepper. Anything. I got fish and it was undercooked (and mostly not seasoned). I didn't realize what the problem was at first, just thought it tasted funny. And after one piece I got awful stomach pain and had to take some Nauzene to prevent puking in the car. The servers like to just try and remember things instead of jotting it down. Which leads to mixups. We don't like to complain and make servers/cooks feel bad so we didn't say anything. We're the types that will sit and quietly eat the wrong meal. We were the only people in the restaurant, so needless to say, they were not busy and we had to ask for the waitress to order or get something. Poor service! We had the wings and they were dry and tasted stale. They were not good. My husband had the catfish. The filets were small and paper thin. They also had MSNBC broadcasting on the TVs there. We despise MSNBC. We thought since the place is called "JT's Burgers & Wing," that the wings, at least, should be good, but they were such a disappointment! We will never be back! Overpriced and poor quality food. I have gone in and ordered burgers on one occasion and it was nasty. I went in another time and got wings with my son and they were tiny wings. This is the best place for wings in the area! I recommend barbecue wings, and if you like something spicy, go for the suicide. They have good burgers as well, and great sides.
