This is a Black owned establishment! We dined in on a Friday evening about 530. When we walked in we were greeted with a smile! For that reason alone, they automatically get 4 stars! The wings were just alright in my opinion. It took about 20 mins for our food to get ready but the wings didn't seem like they were cooked fresh. They had good flavor but i just felt they could've been fresher for the amount of time we waited. I also ordered a chicken quesadilla - it truly stole the show! It was piping hot like i like my food. The flavors were very good! I'd def go back to get another quesadilla. Lastly, we got the honeybun cake! They make it in house! I would def order an entire pan of that cake! It was so good! I have visited this location a number of times and the food is always good and prepared at the time I place my order. The wings that I've gotten have never been overcooked or cooked multiple times. This visit I ordered the Hwy 64 wings and fish with okra and fries. I liked everything except the okra, but it wasn't bad enough for me to never do back. The okra was just bland, and while I ordered no season I will ask for seasoning next time. Many times places coat the okra in seasoning salt and it is just a salty mess. Now the mask issue...the employees were not wearing mask, but their is a sign in the door for patrons to wear a mask and wait in the car until your order is ready. I did not receive my Quesadilla that I ordered the fries were stale and cold, not even cooked all the way. I ordered the factory burger and I got a regular cheese burger. I've ordered multiple times from here since we moved over here and outside of the long wait time to get food- it's good! This week is the reason for my review. I made two orders this week and both have been wrong. I called about the missing kids meal and the lady was super nice and told me to call to get it replaced- cool... so today I try to call for the order and no one answers- LITERALLY 10+ calls and not one answer. I let that go and still placed an order through DoorDash because the food is good...get home and the fish is missing! Hell thats all I wanted out the meal- I call finally get someone after 5 tries and I hear the slick talk in the back and I'm told to come back- I'm already on the way! I get there guy comes from the back asking to check the box and telling me to check my bag before I leave - which I understand I should have especially with this being the second time in one week BUT for a mfer to come at me and say that they checked a punk ass camera and seen the fish in the box that I KNOW I didn't t get acting like I'm tying to steal a meal that's y'all screw up is beyond me. We ordered food through Uber Eats because we want to try something new in the area We got three items, chicken Philly fries, fish, and wings My boyfriend doesn't eat beef or pork and they end up giving us steak Philly fries so we went back up there and got it remade and I guess the owner didn't like that he was very arrogant and rude. on top of that we seen an roach out in the lobby I do not recommend this restaurant read more

This was a great little find, I had a turkey burger and fries that knocked my socks off. My wife had the six wing combo with honey gold sauce. She is used to a whole wing, but most places have reduced the size of their chicken wings. These seemed larger to me then competitors, but I don't eat wings. We enjoyed a little picnic with all this crazy mess and everything beings closed. It was wonderful to see an innovative restaurant. I wish I could give them ten stars for staying open. I did see huge trays of wings getting delivered by Grubhub. So they must be doing something right. read more

I was very hopeful that this place would be great based on the reviews, but I really can't say that due to execution. I would give 2.5 if I could because I'm 50/50. Here is why: The lady was very nice and patient on the phone, but I could tell I was testing that while trying to determine what I wanted to order. Granted, I had never ordered there before, so I wasn't sure. We ordered fish, chicken wings, fries, salad, bacon cheeseburger, extra sauce, and onion rings. The fish was good according to my husband. Chicken fingers and fries were good. Wings were great...HOWEVER It all went downhill from there. My burger not only was cold and overcooked and dry, but had mayonnaise. I HATE mayonnaise and specifically repeated that I did not want it, at least twice. For me, sandwich ruined. Then, we discovered the side salad didn't have dressing. No sauce. No onion rings. Now, while I made the order and my husband picked up, this still shouldn't have happened. They offered 10% discount (already got that with the military discount but ok) or asked if I wanted to drive back and get everything remade. I have to do extra work and effort for something I'm missing/food isn't good? Maybe, but no thanks. My husband heard them apologizing about other orders that were messed up prior to ours while in there, so maybe it was an "off night". So, while the food is okay, the execution wasn't there for our experience. I wanted to call back and try again, but I didn't want to take a chance to get disappointed again without a substantial commitment on their part (way more than tax) to make it right. There are far too many wing places in Memphis. I guess what pushed me to 2 stars instead of 3 (since .5 isn't an option) was the fact we had a list of things missing, and remembering that the lady tried to add that she did give an effort to catch my husband with the "extra sauce", but he ran out so quickly. This is my second time ordering from The Wing Factory East and it was my last time. The person taking orders tell you that their wait time is 1hour plus however when you get your food it is godawful cold. I phoned them back to request that my food be replaced but I was advised the manager had to roll the camera back to verify what time my order was placed, what time the food was ready, and what time I picked it up. Piss poor service. I try to support all black own businesses but we need to make it our business to take care of business. I won't be back and would not recommend this place. Been going here since they opened, try to get there about once a month at least. Good wings in Memphis are easy to find, and these are good. But what sets them apart are really the sauces. The orange mound sauce is amazing, if you like a bit of sweet with your chicken. The highway 64 sauce is very good, have a hard time placing it. And just their normal buffalo and honey gold are fantastic. Good people too. I prefer it to wing gurus which opened down the street. I hear they do a fantastic burger and quesadilla as well, but honestly the wings are just so good I never try anything else. read more

This place's wait time was awful, it took 50+ mins for the food and I wasn't the only one with this issue as multiple cars were lined up with me waiting. Ordered 2 piece catfish filets and 6 piece wing combo with fried okra.Fish was okay but definitely wasn't catfish more like the imitation catfish. And it was one filet split in two definitely not two filets. Asked for wings and fish to be fried hard and neither wasn't my wings weren't fresh tasted like they had been warmed up. Ordered honey hot with lemon pepper and my lemon pepper was not on the wings. Fried okra was hot and tasted great other than that I threw most of it in the trash and ate fried okra. Ok gave this place a try despite the reviews because it's close to my house. All I can assume is the other reviews are from competitors or people who have a personal beef with these folks. Ok the wings aren't jumbo... so when you get say 20 wings you are getting 20 either 1st or 2nd joint wings not the full jumbo wings. That being said you should know that by the price! 20 wings for about 16 bucks! It was a great deal in my opinion. The wife and I have plenty left! The lemon pepper wings were great. Got the wings with house dry rub and some sides of mild sauce (happy wife happy life right!?) again they were great! The celery and carrots weren't plentiful but really.... who eats the veggies anyway!? Got a couple of rolls and some ranch too. Also asked for extra sauce and got two extra containers at no cost. I'll be back. Next time I'm going for the "factory" burger! read more
