We had dinner here on May11th 2025 Reservations were not required as it was not super busy. We had the Ribeye Steak and the Sirloin Steak on a baked potato. Very small, quaint, western theme decor. Not a fan of their bread or butter. Butter tasted like margarine. The steaks however, were some of the best we've ever had. This was exceptional! I usually don't order sirloin but this was next level. The ribeye was the largest I've ever seen. Both cuts were excellent. We shared the Crème Brûlée which was good. Prices were rated $$$. We found it more than reasonable. We also ordered some of the products from their ranch. It was that good! We had breakfast here one morning. I'm not sold on breakfast here. Coffee was $5 ea.which was high. We ordered biscuits and gravy which was average at best. I ordered an English Muffin, that was under cooked twice. Breakfast menu was limited and $$$ in comparison to their dinner menu. Skip breakfast but dinner is next level. read more

We celebrated our 36th anniversary with a trip to Ely. Watched Outdoor Nevada several weeks ago and saw the episode with Perigo Ranch. We knew we had to try JT's. Small and cozy. The food and service were amazing. I am not normally a steak eater but I had to try the filet. My husband said it was better than my dad's. My dad was a chef in Las Vegas for 30 years. read more

A relaxing end to a long day of driving. After quickly receiving our old fashioneds, we enjoyed a delicious steak dinner. Omg, it was so tender. Breakfast was equally good: veggie omelette had a great mix and I'll have to make those breakfast potatoes! The wait staff was attentive and the price was right. we stayed at the Bristlecone Motel, across the street: a great place, esp for pets. At this restaurant, I ordered the 16 8z pork chop, my wife ordered a super hamburger with Swiss and mushrooms. The burger was excellent. The pork chop, however, was VERY salty, all the way through. The chef marinates it in brine, but he must have forgotten this one because it was very salty all the way through. I ate about 1/3 of it, mainly because it was an outstanding cut of meat, but had to set aside the rest. That's hard for me because I love a good chop. Their dinner salads were great. It can be very noisy here. My guess is that the rest of their menu is fine. read more

The food was amazing! The service was good. They help each other out as we had different people filling water, delivering plates, taking away plates. We stayed in Ely for 3 days and came to eat here twice. Wish we had made it out to try breakfast, but that will be on our to-do list for next time. Brussels sprouts were so good! How do you make a vegetable taste that good? The ribeye was a 10/10. Same for the crème brûlée 10/10. You can taste the quality of the meat and quality of the ingredients in everything. read more

Best place in Ely and far beyond! Local beef tastes fresh and delicious. Nice ambience in the steakhouse or the best burger downstairs in the pub (when the steakhouse is ful). The food may be great, we never got that far. The service was so poor that we left before being served the entree. We had to ask for our drinks (pretty simple, iced tea), when the salad was served the plates were literally thrown on the table in front of us (after waiting forty five minutes for this course), while the people who came in 20 minutes after us already had drinks and salad). Our young waitress delivered our salads and turned to speak with the people next to us without even inquiring if we needed anything further. We decided to leave at this point, choosing not to eat our salads (the salads were totally acceptable, the service being the issue) The maitre d was quite gracious and appeared to not be too surprised when we explained our reason for leaving. We were quite disappointed as we were looking forward to a pleasant and enjoyable dining experience. By the way, this took place on a Saturday night when one would expect the staff to be at peak performance. read more

I have to start out by saying we were skeptical. But... we were pleasantly surprised and absolutely delighted with our meals. My husband had the Ribeye and I had the New York. The steaks were full of flavor and tender. The scalloped potatoes were excellent. Kaylee was our server and she was so sweet and attentive. We would recommend JT's 100%! We went here on our 35th anniversary based on reviews I read. We were NOT disappointed. Makayla was our server. She was friendly and very helpful. My husband ordered the steak sandwich and I ordered a hamburger. We both ordered them medium rare. They were cooked to perfection. I had read rave reviews on the brussel sprouts. They were the best I have ever had. I asked it they would be willing to share the recipe and they did. We had to take half our food home as we were so full. Thank you JT's. We chose Ely NV for a getaway weekend specifically because of this restaurant. It had been profiled on Outdoor Nevada. We were attracted by it being portrayed as "Farm to Table". We eventually found it - tucked away on the second floor of a casino. Some additional signage would be helpful. The clerk on the first floor was clueless as to the whereabouts of the restaurant. She didn't seem to understand that there was indeed a "hidden" restaurant in the building where she is employed. Minor annoyance, but not a crisis. Dinner was 5 star! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. They did everything to make our evening enjoyable. The Maître d' (Ron?) is a wonderful "first face" for a restaurant. Friendly. Polite. Polished, yet relaxed. Our server was perfect. She made suggestions and answered menu questions with a thorough understanding of the menu. The gentleman (not sure of his role) that prepared our perfectly extra dry martinis made a point of coming back out of the kitchen to check on our cocktails. Dinner . Wine list is limited - but adequate. Meal prep was flawless. Perfectly prepared sides of salads, Mac&Alfredo, and charred Brussel sprouts were delicious. Now to the shiny stars of our meals - the steaks! We both ordered filet. OMG is not good enough to describe! Tender, melt in your mouth texture. Lightly charred out - lovely pink inside. Just right seasoning. The compound butter melting into the hot steaks as they arrived tableside was a nice hit of flavor. I personally am not big on steaks. Whereas my husband is a devoted carnivore. I LOVED MY STEAK. I devoured every last meaty morsel. We live in Henderson NV - just outside of Vegas. About 4.5 hours drive time door to door. This restaurant is totally worth it! Best meal I've had in a long time and hands down in the top five best steaks I've ever had. The service was top notch, the rolls were warm and soft, the salad and other sides were delicious.
