Upon pulling up to this location, I can tell you it's in a rough area. There are a lot of people experiencing homelessness around the building and the outside has a strange smell. The inside, however, was nice. It was a little warm inside. I'm not sure if the A/C wasn't working. This location also has a small private room. This is a larger location than most and is good for larger parties. The service was great. The gentleman taking our order was efficient and friendly. I have no complaints on service. We opted for the chicken quesadilla w/ no cilantro and the family meal for $29.99. The chicken was cooked perfectly. Today, the beans and potato salad tasted a little salty. Also, the quesadilla had cilantro even though I said none. Overall, the experience was fair. I will come back because they lunch items and you don't have to order these big family meals. read more

The chicken is dry most of the time, and it feels like they have to overcompensate with the salads and sides, which is disappointing. The flavor is decent, but honestly, I'd probably still choose El Pollo Loco because this spot just isn't what it used to be. The outside does have a nice, modern look that makes the place feel welcoming, but unfortunately, the food doesn't hit the same way. When you enter the business all you smell is sewer gas!! The restrooms are right there at the door and they need a plumber to correct the sewer gas from coming out! I placed a catering order through this location on New Year's Eve. I picked this location even though it was farther because it had better reviews. When I got into the store they had my entire order ready. Everything was placed neatly and stacked in boxes. I didn't have to check because the lady at the front explained everything that was in each box. Upon getting home I realized they had provided me EVERYTHING I needed for serving. They provided tongs, serving spoons, tons of plastic ware along with napkins and plates. I had stopped at Smart and Final for all those items and did my end up using them because Juan Pollo supplied a turn-key spread. I was overjoyed about how convenient they had made it. I don't know if they had specified all the utensils as part of the catering package but I have no qualms since we use disposable silverware from time to time so I didn't consider it a waste. The food was excellent. The portions were plenty along with plenty of tortillas and salsas. The staff at this store were extremely friendly and the inside was clean and orderly. I highly recommend them for your next meal or catering event. It took a lot of stress on my plate and my entire party was happy with the quality and taste of the food. Listen it's a hard shell taco and I knew what I was getting when I went in through those doors. The rotisserie chicken is shredded and topped with lettuce and tomato's. Last night about 8:00pm my wife went to San Bernardino St. Location to get me dinner. A half chicken (all dark meat) meal. I was devastated! The chicken was horrible. The skin was beyond crisp and was petrified, hard and inedible. The meat on legs and partially on thighs was like Jerky almost. It appears to have been under a heat lamp for a long period of time. We are both disabled so it's not like she could take it back and we were stuck with it. It was so bad I can't ever seeing myself craving Juan Pollo again. After visiting the Original McDonald' museum, I decided to have lunch and support the owner, Albert Okura, at his Juan Pollo chain that supports and funds the museum. Juan Pollo is the El Pollo Loco of the Inland Empire that is slowing expanding into Orange County. Juan Pollo is a mixture of Asian and Mexican influences. The chicken is seasoned well with Okura's own special recipe. The side rice is steamed with bits of chicken and their potato salad is killer unique. Prices are reasonable for a combo meal. Service was adequate. The place is relatively well maintained and clean. Juan Pollo is definitely a nice alternative to El Pollo Loco and supports the unsanctioned McDonald's museum. read more

I decided to come here after visiting the McDonald's Museum, where I learned about Albert Okura, who was a big fan of McDonald's. One of the interesting facts that I learned at the museum was that when Albert had learned about the foreclosure from the local newspaper, he immediately made an offer of $135,000 for the property. As a child, Albert's favorite food chain was McDonald's, which served as his inspiration to open up Juan Pollo. I went on Fathers Day to pick up a family meal (which I didn't know it was called that) and they had my order ready within 5 mins. This specific location isn't in the best area, so the quicker the better. The food does not disappoint and the chicken is juicy and flavorful. The potato salad just hits different and the beans and rice are also always consistent. Is the food good? Always. Service on the other hand, HORRIBLE. They have teenage zombies working. Every single time I come in, I'm not greeted. No hello, how can I help you. Nothing but a dead stare. The cashier just stares at you and you're expected to just walk up and order without any greeting. If the food wasn't good I wouldn't come here. But these teenagers need to learn some customer service. It's a bad look going somewhere where a person can't even say a simple hi or thank you. Let's start off with management the two ladies are sisters and they're so rude and will body shame they're pushing 50 acting like high schoolers. If you have any type of problem with the food they'll most definitely give you attitude about it. One of the girls that worked there said it was hell to work because of the toxic environment they would bring. The food is okay when it's made right.
