We specifically asked what it came with, and the guy said it included rice, beans, and our choice of meat. But when the bill came, we were charged extra for the meat--something he never mentioned. He went to grab a menu to show us, and he realized it just said 'small burrito'--no details. He checked with another employee, and they confirmed it only included specific meats like shredded chicken, pork, or beef. He never apologized or took responsibility, and then just walked off. Taco Joe's is not much to talk about. This place used to be pretty solid but unfortunately it's gone downhill. The place is not well maintained. Everything has a pound of dust/dirt on it. Like no one does a deep cleaning ever. Food is meh. I can get better food from Alberto's. read more

I have eaten here on several occasions, actually all have been takeout, but I have never posted a review. This particular occasion I was craving nachos, so I saw that they had nachos with everything I like on it (beans, cheese, sour cream, guacamole, pico de gallo). I didn't want any meat this time, but they do have another nachos on the menu that does include your choice of meat. The nachos were . Although I ordered this through 3rd party delivery services, it was still crunchy! The chips had not turned into mush like most places. I did request the wet toppings on the side, so that may have helped. Overall I give this a 4/5, not a full 5 because I had a lot of leftover chips without any toppings. read more

Honestly SAVE the $110 dollars your going to spend on your family to eat and take it to an actual restaurant, I did a pickup order and missed all the red flags from the start , first it's getting through the ohone line to even make the order then you show up on the 25 min it takes and have to wait 20 more minutes (45 total) just to get your food and be missing 2 entrees and have cold fries with a kids meal and a carne asada burrito full of beans. Just be sure to REPACK YOUR FOOD AND DRIVE BACK FOR A FULL REFUND. But thank you guys for a togo plate full of bread real good. read more

OK, that's random. It's always something weird. I guess they're closed for the day or something because of the kitchen some little small note in the window. I always find myself going back to Cuca's in Highland. That's where I'm going currently if you haven't tried it please do great food as good as taco Joe's if not better and the prices are unbeatable. read more

I order based on an instagram post I saw. It looked really appetizing, but it just looked appetizing. The chilaquiles divorciaos should had come with what it looks beef fajita and avocado. Not the case the came plain and no meat or avocado. When I asked for the meat they brought me a tiny bowl of what it looks like chopped asada( did not taste good). Certainly not what it used to be. Ordered steak ala Mexicana. Meat tasted old and on the verge of going out in a day or so. My husband's garlic shrimp was also marginal. It was plated beautifully but that didn't make up for quality issues. The lime margarita was syrupy sweet. Couldn't drink it. No bueno. We are middle aged and always went to this restaurant, and the original in Colton back in the 80s and 90s. Highland has never been as good as Colton, but now it is not a place for us any longer either. Sad when something that was so good just looses its quality over time. Had lunch today and the staff seem to be in total chaos. Waited forever for them to clear a table. Busboys would just walk by tables that needed to be cleaned off. Not sure if they were short of wait staff but busboys seem to do everything but take orders. One waiter before we were seated asked me if I was paying my bill after he had told me they would be right with me to seat us. Not the service I was use to in the past.
