I wanted to like this place, but unfortunately the flavors were not what I expected. The waitress was very nice, helpful, and honest. She even suggested other plates when we asked, which I appreciated. We ordered the carnitas plate, but the flavor and texture didn't seem like traditional pork carnitas -- it tasted more like beef to us, and it wasn't what we were hoping for. My boyfriend ordered the carne en chile rojo, but he also wasn't a big fan of the flavor. The albóndiga soup was probably our favorite, and I would rate it around a 4/10. The service was definitely the highlight of our visit. First Timer Here. Loved the environment as a whole and the service was great. The food was delicious! I ordered the Cali Burrito with no sour cream and light guacamole and I wasn't super hungry, but it hit just right! Mmmmm. The chips were fresh and just the right amount of salty but the salsa was just a little too spicy for me - but my friend loved it and he likes it spicy. The only downside was there was a party happening in another room and apparently due to that, our food took forever to get out. The two small groups that got seated ahead of us had gotten theirs and we waited for a long time. My friend almost just wanted to leave. So maybe next time, find a way to still be able to serve small groups on sync rather than making them wait extra time if possible. But I'd be back for sure. Oh, the mango margarita was not it. It tasted premade and plain. Another table left a full margarita as well so this worried me that this may be something normal? The lady at the omelette station said she doesn't make them. They expect you to eat the Powdered eggs in the dishes or have her make an omelette that tastes like cooking spray because she continues to spray the pan while the egg is already in it. WTF!! I assume yes since actual vegetarian menu (but I don't know). Also beans and rice side came out with cheese - so if you are vegan need to ask for no cheese. This place used to be good. We went this past Tuesday with my in laws. They were visiting from out of town and wanted to go here. We hadn't been in awhile. Place was packed. The local police seemed to be having their annual Christmas party and there were many other people. I went to the bar while waiting to be seated. Guy walked away and said he'll be right back... 5 mins later I get their Costco tasting margarita. We get seated. Waited another5 mins for our server to come and ask what we want to drink. Finally paced our orders. I got the shrimp burrito, hubby got a the California burrito, mil got the taco salad and fil got chile verde plate. I took two bites out of my burrito and almost puked. It was so gross. I ended up eating my rice and beans, but I did throw up in the parking lot and I did throw up the rest of my food when I got home. My husband cannot finish his Carne Asada of California burrito. He said the meat tasted funny and he was up all night with a stomach ache. My mil picked at her salad. Mostly ate the shell and said lettuce was wet and soggy ruining everything. A night of wasted money, stomach aches and vomiting is what we got from here. Unfortunately this place is nothing like it once was. Their use of cheap ingredients and lack of staff shows. Their margarita is only thing worth going for but even then it tastes EXACTLY like the Kirkland pre mixed margarita. I'd rather buy a bottle or two and have that with friends at home. The Mexico has been going downhill the last few months. I have been coming here for over 50 years and we started noticing changes. Salsa is watered down, margaritas definitely are watered down and they are now serving them in goblets instead of margarita glasses. So I decided to see what the difference was between the small and medium margarita. Well I filled my small margarita glass with water and poured it into the medium goblet. You can see it's a rip off. I would usually give this place five stars, but not this time. I ordered a Deluxe Chile Verde Burrito. I noticed the pork looked really pink. The waitress took it back and they brought me a different burrito that was thoroughly cooked, but the manager said that the first burrito's pork was not undercooked. It actually was. It wasn't the sauce. I know what undercooked meat looks like. My dad and sister ordered the same thing. My dad's burrito had undercooked meat, too. My sister's was fine. Everything else was fine. We called the restaurant to let the manager know that my dad became ill after eating some of his burrito. The manager argued that it was not undercooked. We have eyes. We didn't tell them to throw them under the bus or make them look bad. We let them know because food safety is important and we don't want anyone else to get sick. I asked for over medium she gave me sunny side up and to be honest I'm Machaca hat, tomato, onion, and cilantro, which tasted like they just we warmed it and gave it to me and it was not Fresh. It was actually kind of spoiled already. She did take it back and offered me something else but I'm sorry that took my appetite away the chili let you know that we order was tasteless. The only thing that tasted somewhat authentic is the beans and rice other than that sauce for the enchiladas tasted like it came from a can you can tell they don't take the time to make the sauce. We use to come here back in the day 30 years ago, so we decided to try it out again because it had some mixed reviews and we were in town. The chips were not fresh and the taste of the oil on them was old. The house salsa is good. I ordered the steak fajita and pretty much got a pile of bell peppers and onions with about 5 pieces of steak I had to dig to find for $27 dollars. My sister ordered a Chili Relleno burrito this is where I believe their oil is old and tainted, because it sent her to the restroom twice before we ever got out of the restaurant, not to mention after leaving and the food also sent me to the restroom. I ate very little the food. The service was okay. The ambiance there doesn't really exist. The place is huge, feels empty and could use to be updated The best thing about the dining experience was the mango chili margarita. Overall it was a waste of a $100 dollars. read more

The servers gave several recommendations on their "top picked" options. They had recommended the asada and carnitas, which were always made fresh the day of. Complimentary salsa and chips were given to start off. Carnitas- This was so good! The meat was tender and filled with flavor. It pairs well with the rice. You can even make your own burrito/taco with the tortilla given. This plate also comes with soup or salad. I got the soup and it did not disappoint! The other margaritas did NOT come with an extra shot. Everyone's checks came with an automatic 30percent tip! Never heard of 30 percent unless I DECIDE to give. Had a recent visit for dinner with my hubby. We will usually order the combo plates but today we opted for smaller meals. My husband ordered beef soup and I had the tostados with B & R. The plate combo seemed to have increased about $5 a plate and the soup came in a small bowl with out the meat ? The lady later brought a plate with the meat separately which seems strange.... We usually order a beer or two with our dinner but were not impressed with the minimal choices now that you can have at home. Date lunch for wife and I and food was bland, our server was overwhelmed I assume, she did not check on us after food was dropped nor ask if we wanted refills on our margaritas.
