The chicken was not cooked properly. It was pink and the rice and potato salad were dry. The rice was hard. We waited a long time for our food. We asked for a cup of water and we were given hot water with no ice. I spent over $24 and I couldn't eat my meal. The tip jar says to leave a tip for over 24 employees. I do not see how an establishment can have that many employees and low service and quality food. This used to be the best Juan pollo location. I will go somewhere else next time. read more

Went to Juan Pollo for dinner the other night and I had a delicious meal. The chicken was super tasty, as always. The rice, potato salad, and salsa were all perfect. I have been eating from this restaurant, on Highland Ave. (Across from Fiscalini Field), since the mid 80's and I have got to say that there is one thing that has always been consistent, REALLY good food !! Went to this location because they have the best taco shells always fresh. But today I ordered my regular two taco meal it was different. I was eating my first taco with my mild salsa as usual and my mouth begins to burn I immediately stopped eating in mild sauce I thought it was mislabeled and it was hot. I continue eating my tacos after the second taco I realized the hot sauce was inside the tacos so I threw it in the trash called Juan Pollo and asked what was in my taco they explain to me they're putting a chipotle sauce in the tacos now and that they didn't think it was very hot at all I was on the toilet all night long and this morning my stomach was hurting extremely some people are not used to getting hot sauce they should let someone know before they put that in the tacos very disappointed . First timer at this location; original home Juan Pollo is off Highland Ave. Anyways! As we ordered our food I asked the cashier Karine if they have a restroom an if I could use or if I needed a key to enter?She directed me to the right side of the back of the diner. As I was entering the restroom (having to go extremely bad!) I went into the first stall finding it didn't having any towel paper. So, I run out to the second stall not having seat covers nor towel paper. As I struggled knowing I really have to use the restroom; I luckily had some tissues in my purse. As I was finishing up to see a sign in the restroom stating " TOWEL SEAT COVERS ARE PROVIDED AT FRONT COUNTER WHEN ASKED" this made me extremely disturbed! As I went back to the cashier Karine notifying her the restrooms have no tissue paper. I also notified her how inconvenient it was not having the toilet seat covers in the stalls as we have to come out and ask for them after already being in the restroom! We're paying customers to have the respect of having PPE( personal protection equipment) to use the diner restrooms. This is beyond gross! As she hesitated to give any explanation she just smiled. I went to sit and wait to be called for my order. As we were then called by ordering number went to same cashier Karine before handing over my order she states "WE DONT LEAVE THE TOWEL PAPER OR SEAT COVERS IN THE RESTROOMS AS THE HOMELESS PPL MAKE A LARGE MESS" if this was to be convenient for the public use of the restroom. You then as a business make the restroom for paying customers ONLY. Simply placing a lock for security of no mess to be made from any person. But, NO! It was made to have US paying customers having to ask to get NOT just seat covers but the towel paper?. I then told her it might of came to her head as COMMON SENSE when I asked for the restroom location or if we need a key to use it. Would've been a great time to provide me with a seat cover and towel paper. Another worker from the back counter then yells "Not everyone uses them". First! She wasn't part of the conversation which was fine but if you need to tell me something you say it to me not tell it from the back kitchen. Horrible Customer Service! This blew my mind! I then asked for both their name (declined to provide it as I have her name based of my paid receipt) so I can speak with their managers possibly, corporate too regarding my expectations then another worker again from the back counter yells out " WE DONT HAVE TO GIVE YOU ANYTHING". I look over think to myself the most NASTY & GHETTO staff/diner in town! We will NEVER be returning here! read more

Of all the Juan Pollo's in the IE, this one is hands down the best. I recently ordered a catering Pak. I was 30 mins early for pickup and they provided everything on my order in 5 mins or less.
