The food is good but I had an experience yesterday I paid for my food with my debit card the cashier told me it didn't go thru I paid again when I got home I checked my bank and yup it when thru twice! As some people have already expressed, the food is good. However, the lady on the phone taking my order was extremely rude. Up and to the point where I cancelled my order (I have never done that before). I was simply trying to clarify my order and was hung up on. I then called back to make sure I knew what I was ordering, the cost, and time of pick up. Not sure if the girl was having a rough night but her attitude towards me was certainly unwarranted. The service at this Juan Pollo is absolutely terrible. Placed a #1 party pack order on July 20, 2019. They left out of my order salsas, the dressing for the salad, and tortillas. As soon as I got home I called their store requesting to speak with their manager, and she refused to speak with me. They automatically told me to contact the corporate office to resolve this issue. I contacted Juan Pollo's corporate office, and they advised that it is the franchise's responsibility to resolve the issue. I was told by Jackie from the Upland restaurant, that they would pull the cameras to investigate if those items were put in my order. I also told Jackie, I had requested 3 times to speak with the manager and has yet to contact me back. She advised that the manager has had family emergencies. On July 26, I contacted corporate office and spoke with Crystal, she advised that the manager of the Upland Juan's Pollo did indeed pull the camera footage showing they placed the missing items in my package. I advised Crystal that was a bold face lie and to request from the Upland store to provide the footage because it's a lie and I never received those items. Very poor customer service, the manager refused to take any ownership, still pending to hear back from Crystal from the corporate office. read more

They have the most amazing chicken and potato salad, I love it way more than el pollo loco!! When I get back to Upland, CA I will take more pictures because the ones they have on this page are not great and do it no justice!! The chicken skin is sticky and and slightly crispy while the meat is so tender!! They also have a great salsa and yellow rice with amazing flavor. I loved eating here all the time as it rem lighter and a little healthier minus the potato salad just one bite though YUM a local favorite, hence the 22 stores in a short radius!!! read more

The family LOVES Juan Pollo! The chicken is always moist to perfection. We usually get the mini pack for three. We upgrade all the sides because we love FAT tacos haha. The establishment would be graded lower on appearance wise but knowing how good the food is, it doesn't matter. We take it home anyways. We been eating Juan Pollo for over 20 years because it's so flavorful, juicy and tender. The rice and salads are equality delicious, but their chicken is 100% better than pollo loco. The prices are very good compared to Pollo loco. I love ordering the mini special single meal for me that has 2 pieces of rotisserie chicken, beans, rice, corn tortillas and salsa for only $5. We moved so, I had to find another Juan pollo location closer to us. Instead of driving to Pomona location which parking sucks over there and ghetto area. Here at Upland location, there is plenty of parking, very clean, fast service, next to other shopping centers, plenty of sitting inside. Out of all the JP's I've been too, this place has the best Tasting chicken, potatoes, rice and beans. Food is always juicy. The place itself can use a makeover. It's usually dirty and not welcoming for dine-in purposes. Everyone usually picks up orders. Staff is friendly and quick. read more

The food is always pretty good but the establishment is run down and old. Almost every time I come there are at least 5 people in front of me and at least 5 people waiting for food. I usually only see one person cooking and serving. Don't bother calling ahead as the wait is the same, they will not prepare it beforehand. The service is horrible! I think they hire work release people only. I don't mind tattoos not even on your neck but don't have an attitude like your parole officer makes you work here. I agree with pretty much everybody else. The food is decent and the one in Rancho Cucamonga ( they recently changed their name probably not to associate with this place) is much better. Sad, real sad. 1st my order took about 15 mins longer then it usually is, which I have been here many times before. 2nd i purchased a 2 liter pepsi that was flat most likely because it was 6 mths expired, when I asked for a replacement got the same shit. 6mths expired, then upon pulling my items from the bag (which we were eating in so I had to go back twice to the counter to get plates and cups for my flat soda, don't remember being asked if order was to go. ) I realized I was missing my flour tortillas, again had to get up. Ordered what they call a Chicken Salad. Got home. It is lettuce covered with GROUND chicken parts they can't sell covering the top. Last time I looked, chicken salad is chicken mixed with creamed things and spread on bread. I don't want to eat Chicken Gizzards and that's exactly what they sold me without telling me. Still I ate it and then was in the bathroom on the toilet for 6 hours. One could do better in TJ. Today was my second visit at this location. I thought I'd give it a try again. The last time I ordered tacos and this time I ordered the Juan pollo bowl and it seems that I keep finding chicken bones in every other bite that I take. I never have this issue at the one in San Bernardino which I have been going to since I was a kid. This will be my last time visiting this location. I think they need to cut their chicken better and not throw bones in the meat not jus for me but even a child if they choke on that it's going to cause a big lawsuit. I even thought I'd bring a friend bcuz they flavor is so good but she was also pulling bones out of her tacos. I even asked for jalapenos and they wanted to charge me? Cashiers were very rude when ordering and one of them walked away with my bank card and stupid me didn't think about it till now when my bank notifies me of fraud charges. I cant prove it was this place but its the only place that walked away out of site with my card. Be careful here when they take your card and report it immediately if they walk off with your card. The chicken is really yummy, I always get the mini-pak which includes whole chicken, a dozen tortillas, salsa, and three medium side for $12.99 with a coupon. You can never go wrong with the rice or salsa. The beans are less desirable. They are watery and do not have much flavor. The HOT salsa is really hot. read more

I heard about there potato salad and it is the best I've ever had. The beans were fresh. There salsa was fresh and delicious.
