The corned beef hash was good and they cooked the eggs the way I requested it, which I appreciated. The potatoes were sadly bland and mushy so they needed salt and ketchup to taste like anything. The total bill was around $15 which was reasonable for the amount of food but it's cash only so don't forget to bring some!

Even though I didn't have dinner this time, seeing the food coming out and enjoying the overall experience definitely convinced me that I need to come back for a full meal. The ambiance is very relaxing and cozy. Italian Bread: The soft, doughy bread went well with the olive oil. Although I enjoyed this starter, it was rather unusual to be served table bread prior to breakfast. Omelette: This breakfast plate included roasted potatoes and bacon. While the potato was tasty, it really did not pair well with the omelette. A hash brown or home fries would have been a better choice. French Toast: The french toast is undoubtedly my favorite breakfast plate. It was generously piled with several strawberries and blue berries. My only critique was that the side of whipped cream could have been larger. When I return in the future, I will be sure to order a lunch or dinner entree. Pastis definitely checks that box! This was my second time at Pastis and it was just as delicious as the first time. We got shrimp cocktail, oysters, tartar, leeks, calamari... the bread is so excellent I would have been happy eating that all night. We all split burgers 4 ways. The fries are a better version of McDonalds (the highest compliment). We also got the bar steak, trout, confit, and half chicken, Of course, the profiteroles for dessert. Do not skip these! Great martinis, great service - an awesome restaurant to visit in Meatpacking!
