Broth was so yummy so much umami flavors
    George G.

Decided to get me a typical quick puertorriqueño breakfast . Which is usually a cup of coffee with milk and sugar, almost like a latte. But way better than I am and cheese with scrambled eggs with mayo n ketchup mixes a staple in PR. I always order chicken Soup AKA SOPA DE POLLO. Because the broth is usually amazing And it reminds me of the summer I spent in Puerto Rico as a child . The soup broth is perfect for a rainy day or cold day . What are the small as it is enough, you can accompany it with white rice if you desire. It usually comes with eg noodles, or they use spaghetti noodles with a couple of pieces of soft potato, carrots, and one protein usually born on which is the best way to have it as more flavour. The chicken was cooked perfectly. I give this soup a 8 out of 10. So I mad a mistake in the order . I got a ham and cheese panini like sandwich which was really good , minus too much ketchup . I prefer more mayo . I originally wanted and egg hand and cheese sandwich. But I was hungry. The bread was nice and harm and toasted. Mmmmm. The cheese perfectly melted. Coming back for me . Great service. Though they mostly speak Spanish I'm sure they will speak broken English .. let me know what you think ? ENJOY

They have a variety of meats/seafood buffet style. Usually a "lunch" box with choice of rice, protein and side comes out to be $9-$12 dollars depending on the protein. I've had the oxtail, pork and chicken stew here and they were all pretty solid. Looked like the meat would be pretty dry but no, they were all very tender. The sauce is really salty but flavorful and it's not so bad when paired with the rice. The ladies there speak very little English but they're extremely friendly.

Looking for a new place for Spanish food. Walked in and the place looked like a cafeteria. Plenty of seats. Quick service as food is already prepared. They have a menu to order as well. We decided on prepared food. Lots of choices of food. They even have pizza. We had the following- chicken yellow rice and salad- good. chicken was tender and flavorful. Pernil maduro yellow rice- pernil was good. Was flavorful and juicy. Not greasy. Overall we enjoy our dinner. Food was good to our liking as it was not overly salty and greasy. We got tips but sure if its necessary. Will definitely go back to try their other offers.

One of Sunset's best place for Spanish food. The Pork Cracklings and the Alcapurrias are tasty. The service is good.

What I see here is a restaurant grasping at all the straws to try to stay afloat. It is trying to do too many things at once and thus isn't particularly good at any one thing. First, I find it inexplicable how this restaurant sells pizza. (??) If this is a Hispanic restaurant selling hispanic food, I'm not too sure why they felt the need to also sell pizza.... that should tell you something about the quality of the food (I think that if they had to resort to selling pizza, too, it was because their latin food isn't the best). Granted, their hispanic food isn't bad... it's just not great. It has loads of potential and just misses the mark. At best, I'd give it a 6.5/10. Good enough to try once but not good enough to get me to come back. What I think needs work here: 1) the lechon is dry. Some of it was crispy, though, and that's always a good thing. 2) the ladies serving the food behind the counter are not wearing gloves!!!! Oh my god this drives me insane. I saw one of them stuff something into her mouth with her hands and some of her fingers grazed her teeth/lips... then this SAME woman offered to serve me my food and I graciously declined her offer. 3) get rid of the pizza and focus on making the food better. The pizza doesn't even look good :/

Pretty decent Spanish food. Usually get the arozz gondules and pernil. They have a steam table full of options. Chuletas, beef stew, chicken and whole assortment of choices. The service is fast and friendly. Plus there is plenty of seats. If you choose to eat in. Usually a plate cost $9.50. Which is going rate in other places.

It's all good . All good . The staff is nothing short but alright . Straight to the point , literally point to any item under the sneeze guard , and you shall be served. Easy ! I like this place good food overall ,but whatever you do do not go for the potato Alcapurrias . They were literally served cold , stale and made out of boxed mashed potatoes . Not a good bargain . All potato alcapurrias are smaller but are real life potatoes. That's all!

    Great food

Great food spot for latino crillo delisioso. I am a fan and the service was in point. I

So good, if your on a diet watch how much you eat of this. Or have this as your cheat meal of the day lol.

Always a good place to get food from, workers are polite and stay crowded. Ordered the usual roast chicken, rice, sweet plantains, beans. Also tried there beef stew for the first time, also a great. But if your on a diet watch how much of the beef stew you eat, it's so good.

My favorite was the Chuletas Kan Kan special since the pork was crispy without being dry. They definitely make it fresh since I saw them picking out the piece of pork to cook once I had ordered it. However, I was really surprised by the price. We paid about $60 for takeout, which included two servings of rice, two servings of beans, chicken, two bistecs, and tostones. Considering the portions were fairly small, I didn't feel the price matched the amount of food we received. As a Puerto Rican who cooks these dishes regularly, I know I can prepare the same meal at home for a fraction of the cost. The only reason we ordered takeout was because I wasn't feeling well enough to cook that day. While the food tasted good, the value just wasn't there for me. Unfortunately, because of the pricing, I don't see myself going back there again.

Food: Pernil: 10/10 flavorful and tender Yellow (arroz con gandules) and Black rice with the beans: 10/10 both were good and couldn't even decide which one was better Pulpo 9/10 : fresh and tangy, cut into small pieces so you can top it on your rice Alcapurrias: 8/10 great and made differently then what I'm used to but it was sooo good I'd come again for this alone Juices: Ask them to try the juices and they will let you. Earlier this year, I overheard the man who I thought could be the owner telling another customer that foot traffic had slowed down since the implementation of congestion pricing, and they weren't sure they were going to keep the place open past the end of May because they weren't making as much money at this location as they had previously. Well, they're still open, but it seems like since the place isn't a moneymaker, it's no longer a priority. I've only been back a handful of times since then because they seem to be taking shortcuts in an effort to save dough. The arroz con gandules is mushy and flavorless; the chicharron are small and dry; the serving of beans is literally two teaspoons of beans and the rest of the (downsized) container is cooking liquid. Every time I go back hoping for a delicious meal, I'm sorely disappointed. Today I found a piece of raw chicken mixed into my vegetables. Turned my stomach immediately. Now I'm just hoping I don't end up with salmonella.
