This place came recommended by a friend so our first stop after we landed was here! [[HIGHLIGHT]]We came at 615pm, didn't have a reservation, but was able to sit outside (they have heaters).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We started with the Caesar salad, then for the mains we had Fettuccine di Emma and Chicken Parmesan. Unfortunately, we really wanted to like the Caesar Salad, but it came doused in the dressing and was almost soggy. The real show stopper was the Chicken Parmesan (from the specials menu). The chicken was tender, perfectly crispy, and the pasta on top was delicious. The pastas were both al dente and fresh! The Fettuccine di Emma had a light sauce, which complemented the Chicken Parmesan nicely. It came with 4 decently sized shrimp. Our server was very friendly and the food came out quite quickly. Great meal to start our trip with!

Unfortunately was disappointed by this place for happy hour. First, the drinks were good and very reasonably priced, but that was overshadowed by rushed and unfriendly service, [[HIGHLIGHT]]poor ambiance with too many tables too close together and also rickety/falling apart.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food (only got the bruschetta) was pretty bad. It was nothing like what bruschetta should be and significantly overpriced for what it was, even in HH. Come here if you really want cheap wine in the WV before 6, but otherwise not worth it.

Had an amazing dinner date here! We started off with some amazing wine selection they have here. Then had their calamari and my absolutely favorite was the cacio pepe prepared on the cheese wheel. One of the specials was chicken parm which we loved too. To top it all up, we had tableside served tiramisu. Highly recommend making reservations because this spot is popular and gets full fast! The service and vibes are amazing. Looking forward to coming to visit again soon!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Truly loved everything about this restaurant from the cozy atmosphere to the delicious pasta, I felt like I was in Italy![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This is a must try Italian spot in West Village I love that they have tableside dishes (like the cacio e pepe pasta and tiramisu) where you get the whole experience getting served in front of you before you eat! The fettuccine di emma was also my personal favorite! Service was also very friendly and attentive even when it got super busy in the evening. Loved their pastas I had and can't wait to come back to try their whole menu

Unfortunately I left Osteria Nonnino very underwhelmed. We were looking forward to trying a new Italian spot in the West Village that you can actually get a reservation at, but the experience just fell flat for me. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The tables are very packed together, service was just ok.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] For me I was most underwhelmed with the food. They offer a table side tiramisu and cacio e pepe, both of which we were not able to see since the tables were so packed together that they could not bring the cart to us. In my personal opinion, the "table side" concept is a bit of a gimmick to be able to up charge more for the experience. I felt like the cacio e pepe did not have much flavor at all, and the tiramisu was very watery. Overall, the only hit food wise for me was the calamari. Unfortunately, I just felt like it was overpriced and a miss for me.

Get to the Chase: Pros: 1. Fast and friendly service 2. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Clean bathrooms[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] 3. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Could easily sit 9 people (including 5 kids) on a sunday with no reservations[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] 4. The osso bucco was heaven and worth every penny - take a gander at that-fall-off-the-bone-juicy-goodness Cons: 1. Pizza was so so (song napule, pats's and luigi's are better) 2. Bit on the pricier side (osso was $45, $28 spaghetti meatballs...)

To be honest, the last time we were here, we walked away disappointed. However, this most recent visit completely made up for it and reminded us why we love this place! The food was absolutely delicious. Here is why it's back on top for us: Chicken Parm: One of the absolute best I have ever had. It is always extremely thin, perfectly crispy, and full of flavor. Homemade Pasta: You can immediately tell the pasta is made fresh in-house. It is incredibly delicious. Bread with tomato dip: A mandatory shoutout to their amazing bread dip. We absolutely love it. I am so glad we gave it another chance. If you are looking for top-tier Italian food, this is the place. Highly recommend!

This place is very small and very popular so make reservations! Delicious and great service! Servings are large but we are staying at a hotel with no microwave so we tried our best to eat it all. We had one of the specials which was chicken parm. My daughter was astounded when it came out and it filled the plate! I had the Tortellini Di Casa and my other daughter had the Rigatoni Di Nonnino. All were delish! I had to try dessert which was the Setteveli and was not disappointed. Each of us split it. One word of caution in the winter. If you think you will come to happy hour before your reservation you cannot sit at the bar, therefore there is no happy hour. Minor disappointment but we found a cute nearby bar to have a cocktail while we waited for our reservation time.

My wife and I came here to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary. We couldn't wait after seeing the raving reviews on Yelp and TikTok. We were so excited for the cacio e Pepe and tiramisu to be prepared in front of us, but because we sat outside this wasn't an option, which we were not aware of, so that was a bummer. We shared the polenta e salsiccia, cacio e pepe, and oreccheitte con bufala. The polenta was delicious. However, the cacio e Pepe and oreccheitte were not good at all. We kept checking the sign to make sure we had come to the right restaurant. We got the pastas wrapped up hoping it'd taste better as leftovers but didn't even like the taste a little to even give it a try. We both tried espresso martinis and sent them back, which we never do. They didn't taste like espresso at all and whatever vodka was used was extremely strong and not smooth. The service was ok, but I wouldn't say exactly personable. We also shared a bottle of cake bread which was great. The tiramisu was also good.

We came here to this restaurant to celebrate our anniversary while we're going on a holiday break. We're so glad we did. Our server was friendly and efficient. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This restaurant is so busy even on a weeknight![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Be sure to book a reservation in advance for at least a week ahead. We will be back to try other dishes offered. We had the famous dishes they're known popularly for. I hope we will return here again soon since we're a regular visitor of NYC.

5 star dinner and service. Called before I stopped in to see if they could accommodate us and they were more than welcoming, it's a small spot but it was so cozy warm and decorated lovely for the season. We sat at the bar and I loved it , the backdrop was Xmas decor and it was a cute 6 person bar where it felt like everyone at the bar was friends since we west cozy in the corner. The bartender made some great drinks and the food and apps were great. They gave us lemon cello shots after the meal for my friends bday and we loved it. It's close to her job so I plan on going back whenever I'm in the area

While the inside of the restaurant isn't large (note they have a larger back patio area as well) it's cozy and parties of two may share a larger, communal table which can be a nice way to make friends should you choose. As others have noted it's a BYOB place with a convenient local wine-shop just a minute or two nearby. The menu changes regularly though we got many of the classics that have stayed on the menu (only missing the Angry Chicken which we'll get next time). The pastas were delicious though I wish the rigatoni was a bit saucier and really enjoyed the ravioli which had a lighter, mid-summer flavor with some pine-nuts for extra texture. The ricotta bread and honey was tasty though a large portion for two people and we felt that the standout was the halibut. My only complaint is the 3% mandatory card-processing fee (which at least is prominently displayed). Please also note that this restaurant calculates tips based on the total, not pre-tax amount and the waiter tends to hover while you swipe your card which can feel a bit overbearing.

Paired with the honey and peppercorn were *chefs kiss*. Just a perfect shareable app. The mortadella was also good but smaller than I anticipated. I'd maybe pass on this next time. Honestly this would have paired perfectly with the toast but it was brought out after the toast was finished. We ordered two pastas: the rigatoni and the malfadine. Both were great and cooked perfectly. The quality of ingredients were a standout in both of the dishes. Pork pampanella was the most tender pork I've ever had. Basically melted in your mouth. Very fatty and heavy (a little too heavy...) but delicious. 4.5/5 overall. Some of the dishes were missing a little something to take it all the way but I'd still recommend this spot tho. Also it's BYOB!

If you been rocking since 1919, mi amor, I **have** to come see what's going on. That alone made me wanna pull up And let me tell you... I walked from Jersey City Heights down to downtown -- not a bad walk at all, un chin de cardio before breakfast . Real "treat yourself, mi amor" type of morning. Soon as I walked in... BABYYYY I felt like I got teleported straight into a little Italian market Shelves full of Italian goodies -- pastas, oils, snacks... I was like *yo quiero todo esto* It was giving *ciao bella, benvenuti, mangia mangia* vibes all day. The staff? Súper nice. No attitude, no rush -- just good energy. I told them it was my first time and asked what they're known for, and they really put me on No gatekeeping over here. My husband got the #7 (on a roll) I got the #8 (on a bagel) We sat outside and did what married people do... switched sandwiches halfway Now listen... mine was good -- turkey, egg, pesto... she was cute, she had flavor, estaba bien ‍ BUT HIS?! Ese sándwich estaba otro nivel. I don't know if it was the roasted peppers or what but *Dios mío*... delicioso, chef's kiss Only thing? Next time I'm switching my bagel for a roll porque ese pan estaba hitting different. The roll? Soft, fresh, perfecto. Also... let me tell you about the BACK They got frozen pastas, little Napoli-style dishes, a whole meat section that looked crazy fresh, and you can order cold sandwiches too. Esto no es solo un deli -- it's a whole Italian experience, okurrr. And yes... it's a *little* pricey, no te voy a mentir. Pero honestly? You get what you pay for. Calidad, sabor, vibes -- todo está ahí. I skipped the coffee porque estoy tratando de behave con el budget but next time? And I'm coming back for that banana pudding porque I'm obsessed no shame. They got a little patio if you wanna sit, or you can take your food to the park and have a whole picnic moment. Real main character energy. Ponte linda, grab your sandwich, and just vibe out. Overall? 5 stars Good food, good vibes, buena gente. CARGIANO'S said "treat yourself" y yo dije... say less
